Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 25, 2026

The Greater Spokane League (“GSL,” “we,” “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Newsletter signup: your name and email address when you subscribe.
  • Contact form: your name, email address, the topic you select, and the message you send.
  • Store orders: your name, email, shipping and billing address, and the items you order.

Payment information

Payments are processed by Stripe. Your full card number is entered directly with Stripe and is never stored on our servers; we receive only a confirmation and limited details (such as the last four digits) needed to service your order. Stripe’s handling of your data is governed by its own privacy policy.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our servers record basic technical information (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) for security and reliability. We use a small number of functional cookies — for example, to remember the items in your shopping cart. We do not use them to build advertising profiles.

How we use your information

  • To process and fulfill store orders and send order updates.
  • To send the newsletter to people who have subscribed.
  • To respond to questions and messages you send us.
  • To operate, maintain, and secure the website.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the site — for example, our payment processor (Stripe), our email/newsletter system, and our hosting provider — and only as needed to provide those services. We may also disclose information when required by law.

Student-athletes

Athlete names, photos, and honors featured on this site are published for editorial and community-recognition purposes, in coordination with member schools. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the forms on this site. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will remove it.

The GSL mobile app

The Greater Spokane League app reads the same public league content this website publishes — schedules, scores, standings, news, honors and events. It has no accounts and no sign-in, and we do not ask for your name, email address, or contact information to use it.

  • Your preferences stay on your device. The school and sports you follow, your notification switches, your accessibility settings, and the games you set reminders for are stored in the app on your phone or tablet. They are not sent to us and are not synced between devices. Deleting the app removes them.
  • Notifications. Alerts are sent only after you enable them in the app and grant your device’s notification permission. You can revoke that permission at any time in your device’s system settings, or switch individual alert types off in the app.
  • No advertising or tracking profiles. The app does not use advertising identifiers, and we do not sell app data.
  • Links out of the app. Some links (the shop, this website, video and social posts) open in a browser or another app, where that service’s own privacy policy applies.

Help with the app — including how to change or clear these settings — is on our support page.

Your choices

  • Every newsletter email includes an unsubscribe link; you can opt out at any time.
  • You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you by contacting us.

Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described here or as required by law (for example, order records for accounting).

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above.
