I'm Larry Weird at CB tonight to watch a experienced team in Central Valley with a bunch of seniors against a very young Ferris team with a lot of sophomores and freshmen and so team that actually Dante Ferris got their first win last week.

They defeated Pasco 20 to 14. So they've got a little momentum coming into this game where CV has lost four straight. Yeah, I think honestly when you think about it, there's two teams right now that are looking to get another win tonight. We have a a team who's playing for their senior nights, for their seniors, for the guys their last home game and then you have a team who's barely being able to scrape through wins. They only have one win, they've barely been scoring any points every single game.

So I think we're in For a good show. CV lost a heartbreaker last week. In fact, all four of these games, they've lost two of them in overtime, all of them by seven points or less. That's tough for a team. I mean, you've been on teams that have lost close games.

When you lose four in a row like that, that's got to be hard. Yeah, it's always hard. Then you're thinking about what are you going to do? What can you do to come the next weekend even better than what you were the week before? And this is like you feel like you're putting everything together.

Nothing's happening, you're not getting wins. But that's when your team grows and matures. You start to get over that, those adverse situations. And you really become a really good team because you guys bond together. You've gone through senior nights before, both in high school and at Eastern Washington University.

What's the emotion like for these young men playing probably for the last time on this field, senior night? Such a bittersweet moment because you're so satisfied to make it to that point. That's what everyone wants to do. When I was a freshman, I remember I looked up to the seniors. I was like, can't wait till my senior night.

And then it's there. All the emotions you're just rushing with, your family's here. Everyone's ready to watch you play, your teammates are there. Normally teams will have like their senior start. So you're playing against maybe even guys who really didn't do that much throughout the duration of the year.

And it's just, it's a great moment. You never know where you can go after this night. So it's Central Valley here against Ferris this Evening on our RB's GSL game of the week next, the last one here this year. Next week we'll be up at Union Stadium for one of the longest rivalries in Spokane high school football as North Central will play Rogers next week. They are neck and neck right now with Lewis and Clark for the second berth in the foray race and with that could be a home game or it may not, but it's definitely you. Stay away from that Tuesday night playing game. Yes, everybody wants to avoid the Tuesday night playing game. Both teams have, you know they're tied in losses in the league so this is a big one.

The Central Valley needs to have this one to avoid that play in game. They have the Tiebreaker over LC based on their win earlier this season. And LC has to play prep next week, so nothing is set in stone. But absolutely they need to win this one tonight. A young Ferris team and they got a win last week, so that has to be good for them.

Go ahead, Dave. I was asking you and then I was. Sorry, I was getting my hand signals. I was going to let Dante ask the next question. Go ahead.

Yeah, you know, Ferris has some working parts here. There are. They are a work in progress. You know, Coach Roberson's, you know he's behind the eight ball, right. You know, you're trying to build up a program again.

They had a game on campus. Finally this year they had a couple of skill positions leave the program. So to get a win this late in the season for them has got to be a big feather in their cap and give them motivation for next year. Thinking about these two teams and what they both bring tonight, knowing that CV also has their running back out tonight. Where, where do you want to see them kind of lean towards?

Do you think that Ferris now has a better chance because of it or what. What is it kind of going on tonight? What, what's your predictions? Well, Central Valley's got so many players that it's kind of plug and play, you know that it's the next guy up mentality where Ferris doesn't have that luxury. Right.

They just don't have the numbers to be able to match that. Dylan Gravel, a quarterback for Central Valley. He's been running the show all season long. His. His right receivers are healthy.

I saw Danner Smith last week, play at tailback for him. Did a pretty good job. So I don't want to say that losing a player like Zach Abshire isn't a hit on the offense. But, but, but Smith was a quality backup and I, I don't think they'll miss much of a beat tonight without him. All right, big game tomorrow.

Mount Spokane, Gonzaga Prep, the last two undefeated teams in the gsl. Not going to ask any predictions or anything, but it should be a very interesting game between a team that likes to throw in Mount Spokane and a team that wants to run it and prep. Yep, I got out of the predicting game long ago when Sam Adams took his talent to the morning we stopped doing the pickups because. Because every week I come into a different stadium and just get a ration of you know what from all the. It was the assistant, not the head coaches.

The assistant coaches would give me a hard time. So I stopped doing the picks. But yeah, this ought to be a really fun game tomorrow night. You know, everybody knows what prep brings. Mount Spokane's got got a couple of really good talents on the outside.

They've got a quarterback whose hands are just enormous and can throw the ball country mile. So that ought to be a really fun ballgame tomorrow night. And I think you said almost all of the playoff bursts have been settled out of the Greater Spokane leagues. A3A still one that could be if either Mead or Mt. Spokane lose to her.

They both clinched, they're both in. It'll come down to battle for the bell to see who's going to be first or second seeds. But the two ways are still undecided, right? You know, a big game Saturday with Shadow park and Clarkston. Pullman's got two losses in the league, but they're not out of it.

West Valley with one loss, three come out of there. There are four that are still vying. Shadow park really is the only one that's got an inside, you know, inside track to the playoffs for tiebreakers. So those are the really are the only ones that are undecided at this point. Deontay what do you have for us for Central Valley? They're going to have to take control from the opening kick. They're a veteran led team that really has to make sure that they utilize that to their advantage as well. Especially knowing that Ferris has a younger team. They have a quarterback who can make big plays as he has 16 touchdowns already on the on the year through three just last week and they have to make sure that they win through the air and on the ground.

Despite losing Zach Abshire to a very unfortunate knee injury last week for Ferris. They're have to defend the pass. They know that this team's going to come out here and pass, pass, pass. They're going to defend that. Force Dillon Gravel to throw an interception.

He threw three last week in the first half. That's going to be huge for them. They want to have any chance in tonight's game. They're going to have to get some turnovers and defend the pass. Also they don't want to make underdog mistakes.

They've only had. They only have 38 points in the last six games which is the entire season and that's something that they're not going to be able to come into this game and do again. They have to put points on the board, they're going to have to score and they're going to have to do everything. They need to get to come up the win for Ferris. You and I on SWX saw Ferris at the start of the season and their defense was pretty good in that game.

They ended up getting worn down and they lost 38, 6 in the end. But early on until you know, midway through the third quarter when they're back, just, you know, kept getting put up against the wall there and eventually you're going to give in. In that situation, they their defense actually looked pretty good for the most part. Yeah, there was a definitely a numbers game with, with this Bears team. They don't have a lot of players who are, who can actively go in and help this team out to to get a win.

So they have to utilize the players that they have early on, get an early lead and allow it to cement all the way until the end of the game. That's the only way they're going to be able to do it or the conditioning is going to have to be a little bit better than what it was the first time you see them. They did get worn down, they did get tired, but that can't be an excuse when you have a team that needs to come out here and they need to get a win. Tonight it is the fairest Saxons in their white jerseys with red numerals, red pants and red helmets Taken on the Central Valley Bears wearing their black jerseys with light blue numerals, light blue pants and light blue helmets.

First off, on the 3A 4A schedule tomorrow, the big game Mt. Spokane at Gonzaga Prep. That'll be the TV game on SWX tomorrow night.

Also tomorrow Cheney is at Mead, Lewis and Clark plays at University and Ridgeline is the team outside the area. They will play at Davis in Yakima tomorrow. On the two A side of things, North Central is idle this week. They'll play their final game next week against Rogers. That'll be our RB GSL game of the week next Thursday night from Union Stadium.

Also tomorrow, East Valley plays at Pullman, Rogers is at West Valley and then on Saturday at 1 o' clock, Shadow park will play Clarkston at University. That'll be a one o' clock game. Shadow park at 4:4 0, Clarkston at 4. 1. So first place on the line in that game.

On the two a side of things, here is a look at the standings for 3A 4A and for the 2A as well. Brought to you by the Spokane Downtown Rotary Club, number 21 on the 3A 4A side. Prep and Mount Spokane are both 6. 0, Meade at 5. 1.

University, Lewis and Clark, Central Valley are all at 3 and 3. Cheney at 2 and 4, Ferris at oh and 6, Ridgeline at 4 7. So how that breaks down 4A to 3A, the 4A side Prep 6 and oh UHI or excuse me, LC 3 and 3 CV 3 and 3. All three of those teams moved to the postseason. But the third place team, which right now is Lewis and Clark, would have to play in a play in game on Tuesday prior to the Friday first round game.

So you want to try to avoid that if you can on the 28 on the 38 side rather Mount Spokane 6 and oh, Mead 5 and 1. They both clinched U. Hawaii then at 3 and 3 followed by Cheney, Ferris and Ridgeline there on the 2A sides. Shadow Parks at 4 and O Clarkston at 4 and 1, West Valley's at 3 and 1, Pullman's at 2 and 2. So you have four teams really up for three spots.

East Valley and Rogers are both 1 and 3 and North Central is at 0 and 4. That's a look at your standings going into play this weekend. Soccer Last night on the 3A4 ice side of things, Mount Spokane edged University. It was Mead Blanking, Lewis and Clark. Gonzaga Prep beat North Central, it was Cheney over Ferris and Ridgeline defeated Central Valley. In volleyball last night it was U High over North Central. Mount Spokane swept Lewis and Clark, Meade blanked Ridgeline, Gonzaga Prep defeated Ferris and Cheney edge Central Valley on the two A side of things.

In volleyball, Clarkston defeated East Valley, it was Pullman topping Shadow park and West Valley knocked off Rodgers. On the soccer side of things, they have decided the regular season champions. There they are, the Gonzaga Prep Bullpups. They are the girls soccer champs both Overall for the GSL and on the 4A side, Mead second they would be the 3A champs. Lewis and Clark and Mount Spokane tied for third or second.

And welcome back Central Valley High School for the RBH GSL Game of the week. Our final 3A 4A game of the year as the 4A Central Valley Bears take on the 3A Ferris Saxons here this evening.

Ferris will get the ball to start the game. They're in their white jerseys with red numerals, red pants, red helmets, Central Valley in their either dark blue or black jerseys. I'm not sure. But anyway, dark jerseys with light blue numerals and light blue pants and light blue helmets here this evening. Ferris, the underdog, will get the ball to start the game.

It'll be interesting to see what this team does. We saw them in the very first game of the year De Hunte on TV for swx. It'll be interesting to see how much they've improved as the year has gone on. You always want to see the improvement throughout the season from teams. It shows what type of coaching they have and how they're able to adapt and accept what the coach has to say.

And I'm ready to see what they have to offer. We've seen them in the first game of the season. They did a good job. They end up losing, but I'm ready to see what they do tonight. Noah Porter and Farid Lawal are back deep to receive this kickoff.

Aiden labrosse will kick off for the Central Valley Bears. And our kickoff in this ballgame is being presented by Papa Murphy's Pizza. Change the way you pizza. All in all, even though the weather is going to change starting tomorrow, it's fairly comfortable night this evening. It's been a great year so far.

Yeah, I mean we've had a lot of hot days, We've had some sunny days, some warm days and I mean we're starting to transition into the cold weather now, but I mean, still really good time to have some football. We, I think maybe just one rainy game this whole year already and that's, that's huge. Not expecting rain tonight, but it will be a little more brisk by the time the game is over and done with. LeBron has the ball on the tee. Central Valley will defend the goal to our right.

So Ferris will be moving from left to right in front of us. And Labross playing with a cast on his right hand. He is also a starting defensive end for this team. He will run forward and here's the boot. And we are underway.

Deep and end over end. That's going to go back into the end zone. That'll be a touchback. And the fairest Sextons will take over at their 20 yard line here. And let's see what they have to start this ballgame.

As their quarterback will be John Olson. He has passed for a Little more than 600 yards so far this season for them in his sophomore season. It's tough for a sophomore going up against all the juniors and seniors on varsity teams, but he has done that this year and he's done pretty well. Fareed Law will be a receiver split out to the left side and one man in the backfield. I believe it's Joel Malolo with Olson the quarterback.

He has three receivers go to the left. Here's a quick throw to the left side and a catch over the 25 yard line. And getting knocked down pretty close to the 25. Looks like they'll put him right at the 25 is Sam Markham. And so that'll be a five yard passing gain on first down.

Was a pretty good play right there. Quick catch, quick pass. It was everything nice right there. That's exactly the way you want to come out, go ahead and pick up some quick yardage, move your way downfield and try and put some ports on the board as fast as possible against his defense. Kind of use the passing game as a run with those short passes.

That's what you have to do. You have to find every trickery in the book in order to make sure CB doesn't know what you're doing on offense. Two tight ends in the game now two wide receivers have split to the right side. Ball on the left hash mark on second and five, they hand it off. Malolo picks his way in off the left side and there's nothing there for him.

He will get back to the line of scrimmage and that's it. And so now it'll bring up a third and five situation as a nice job there by CV to stuff the run. CVs gonna have a great time stopping to run all night. They're led by monsters up front. They have Brandon Thomas who's able to make huge plays for them.

I mean there's nothing you can ask for from this defense except for to be able to knuckle down on the runs and make sure you guard the passes. Because right now they're looking good. They brought up a third down and five and they have it just underway in this ball game. We played a little bit more than a minute. The wall, Markham and one other receiver all split to the right side and one man is wide to the left out of the gun.

Olson takes the snap, right handed throw to the 30 yard line and that ball is caught and that should be good for a first down as Noah Porter is the guy that hauls it in and that's going to be a gain of six and a. Damon Orthodontics. First down, big time. Third down completely there by the Ferris offense. Exactly what they need.

They're continuing to move the ball downfield. They got stopped just for a little bit and they're able to still to move it. That's, that's huge for them. These little short intermediate routes are working for them right now. So first down and 10 now for the Saxons.

They've got Markham and Law both split to the right side. I believe it's Porter wide to the left out of the gun. They hand it off. Malo Molo, not much there for him. He broke a couple of tackles and it will get close to the 30 yard line but he's going to be hit for a loss of a couple of yards on that play.

And so it'll be second down in around 12 as in on the stop for Central valley was Zach McMurtry to bring him down there. But they've had no luck so far on the ground. On the ground is going to be rough all night for them. They have a huge pursuit on defense from Central Valley. It's great to see them in the balls.

Hike. They have multiple players swarming to wherever the ball is. Right when it's right when the ball is literally on, the ball carries hands. And if in order for fares to continue to get yards, they're just gonna have to continue to get through the air, that seems to work for them. So now they're in second and long, second and 12 at their own 29 from the left hash snap back to Olson, he'll roll to the right side.

Being pursued, throws downfield. Beautiful throw in the cod at the 40 yard line just short of a first down. That's hauled in by Sam Markham. They'll put him at the 39 yard line. That's a 10 yard pickup.

Brings depth. Third and short now. What a pass that was though. I mean he had a receiver running an out route, defender underneath of him, a defender over the top of him. He was able to convert that and right in the hole shot and complete that pass.

That was a great pass. Excuse me, Bo Butner there on the, on the stops. And now third and two. They're three out of three. 21 yards through the air so far is Ferris and we'll see what they do here on third down and two with their own 39 from the right hash.

Olson takes a low snap, throws quickly to the left side, has a catch the wall, spins out of a tackle, goes up the right sidelines and is out of bounds as he gets into bear terr territory at the 49 yard line. Pick up a 12 more yards and another first down. I love the adjustment that Ferris is making so early on. They come out, they're throwing short intermediate routes the entire time. Maybe they're trying to run him there.

The run gets stuff. They don't try and continue to go after it over and over again. They allow what, what works for them to be what they're primarily doing. They know the run is getting stuffed, so they're going back to these passes and they're picking up first down at the first down. This great adjustment.

My fares so ball on the right hash mark in Central Valley territory at the 49 yard line. No score just underway. We played 3 minutes and 40 seconds here in the first quarter. Malolo, the running back shifts to the left of the quarterback, Olson, he gets the call and Malolo gets stuffed bear breaking through there. And making that play for Central Valley was Danner Smith, I believe.

And that brings him down back of the 47 for a loss of four. He didn't have a chance. No. The Central Valley defense is so aggressive. The office a lot off of the tackle was in the backfield field next to the running back when he was getting the handoff.

That's how fast and aggressive the Central Valley defensive front is playing right now. There's actually Ben Hampton in on the stop, not Danner Smith. So Hampton making the stop for loss there. The sophomore defensive tackle, 6ft 3, 260 pounds. So now second down 14, Ferris with four wide receivers, two to either side.

Blitz come in. They handed off Malolo, breaks in off the right side, get some yards back. He may get the yards back that they lost on the. Well, no they don't. They go tackle him right at the line of scrimmage.

No gain on the play. And so it's going to be third and 14 now. I was just praising the Ferris offense about being able to make adjustments based off of the run, being stuffed every time. But now they're coming back to it on two consecutive plays and they get a deep third down now. Now it's the third down along.

Instead of being able to take some passes throughout the first and second down. That's a little surprising, isn't it, that they, I mean especially as well as they've come thrown it. Yeah, they're throwing outstanding passes right now. They're very. And they're being completed every single time.

I don't know why we would go away from that, but looks like we're going to get a pass here. Third and 14 at their own 47 from the right hash. Two receivers split to either side. Olson takes a low snap at his knees, fades back, fires over the middle into an open space. That ball is caught.

First down and more it's for Eidla Wall all the way down to the bear 30 yard line. That's a gain of 23 more yards and another Damon Orthodontics first down. They are absolutely killing the CV defense through the air right now. That was probably one of the most accurate passes I've been seeing seeing from these high school quarterbacks and that was huge. Right in the hole.

Defender right in from front of him, defender right behind him and he was able to complete that pass over the middle and pick up extra yards. It's a big time play there. Sophomore John Olson five out of five for 56 yards here on this drive unofficially. So first and 10, Ferris, four wide receivers, two to side, ball in the center of the field at the bear 30. Malolo, the running back shifts to the left of the quarterback.

Olson who takes the waist high snap, throws right side on a little slant. That ball is caught by Fareed Law, then the ball is ripped away. Central Valley comes up with a football and they're going to run it back out over the 25 to the 28 yard line. So a catch for Farid, the wall and then a fumble. A nice job to rip the ball away and the ball was recovered by CV the pass, the pass was a great pass.

The catch was there. He just never really was able to bring it down from the position that he caught it from. He caught it off his shoulder and his helmet the same time and the defender was already there with his hand on the ball. There was no way for him to bring the ball down to be able to secure an actual possession of that ball. Great rip out and an outstanding recovery to allow your offense to go ahead and halt this, this momentum that Ferris was having on offense.

So CV has it at the 28 yard line it looks like. And that was Brandon Thomas who recovered the fumble. Fly sweep to the motion man running to the left sidelines, that's Danner Smith and he will get out over the 30 yard line to about the 34. So a little fly sweep action there on first down for a gain of six. That's about as slow and methodical as a fly sweep I've ever seen.

But the blocking was there. He was able to pick up a good amount of yards. I mean, hey, if it works, don't fix it. Broke, don't Fix it. Absolutely.

Six yards on the play, second down and four from the left. # Empty backfield. Four receivers split right, one left, gravel to throw. Has all day scanning the field now being pressured, runs to his right, heaves a dangerous pass into the middle of the field and it's caught across midfield down to the 49 yard line of Ferris as that ball is caught by Hudson Dayton for a first down.

And that was an ill advised pass, but it worked. Gain of 17. We're seeing some pretty crazy passes right now. They're being completed almost every single time. I have no complaints about that.

But he did just heave that one up in the air. The corner there. Should have made a big play on that. Instead he allowed the Robbery to come back and complete that. A bench set of four receivers split to the left side.

One man wide to the right, low snap back. Here's a quick throw, a little screen. Dayton cuts to his right, crosses the 45, gets to the 40, struggles forward, might have a first down. We'll see where they give him for forward progress. Looks like they'll put him down right at the 40 yard line for a gain of nine yards.

On first down it'll be second down and one for Ferris. Jack siren there on the stop. The main key was for CV was allowed their seniors and their vets to be able to lead this team right now. And their office align looks absolutely stellar against this defensive front from Ferris. Right now they're not getting any pressure on them and they're able to allow their quarterback to have as much time in the pocket as he needs.

So now second down in a yard at the Saxon 40. We have no score, 445 remaining to play. First quarter and the clock is running from the left. Hash Gravel takes a waist high snap, hands it off. Danner Smith picks his way in there and doesn't get anywhere.

Nice job by that Ferris defense to bring him down. No gain on the play in there. Making the tackle for Ferris was Isaac Woods, a linebacker. No gain on the play. I would really love to see Danner Smith really hit the hole there.

I mean he stepped in last week, had a really good game over 100 yards between rushing and receiving. But I really want to see him hit that hole right there and try pick up some yards, even be a little aggressive. Try and show who's a more aggressive team here because we haven't seen it yet. We've seen some great passes though. Motion from Dayton, the wide receiver Handoff Smith picks his way to the right side and he will get the first down.

Doesn't get a lot of yards but enough for the first down. As he gets down to the 37 yard line it looks like tackle made by Jarrett Pearman and so that's going to be a two yard gain to the the three yard gain to the 38 and a first down. So CV driving here. No score. 350 remaining to play in the first quarter.

First and 10 bears at the Saxon 38. Ball in the center of the field. Motion coming by Dayton toward the formation and the quarterback Revel will run a designed run. Flags are down and Gravel will go to the 34 yard line for a gain of about 4 yards. But that's likely coming back.

My guess is we have a hold here. I wouldn't be surprised they come back to that play too. That's a Good play call there. That was the biggest pickup they've had all day through the on the ground. Besides that sweep, that was just a design quarterback run penalty on a hold on Central Valley.

It's a spot of the foul penalty and so it'll be a mark from the 36 yard line and so to go back to the 46 yard line it'll bring up first and 18 for CV. It's a pretty big penalty there that changed the entire dynamic of that down. You go from first down in 10 and you pick up a nice yards with a design Kubi keeper to a first out in 18 or that's. That's unfortunate. Damon Orthodontics is your Spokane neighborhood orthodontist located on the north side of the valley and on the south hill.

Given with the call for a free orthodontic evaluation. When you think about enhancing your smile, think Damon on first and 18. Gravel throws quickly to the right side. Has a catch at the 45. Dodging one man getting down the sidelines to about the 35 yard line.

I believe it's yep, Kaden Harkin on the. On the reception and they will put him down to the 36. That's going to be around a 10 yard pickup. Bring up second and eight. Dylan Gravel looks very, very comfortable in the pocket right now.

He the way he's swinging the ball he's just easily completing passes and he knows going to be a completion. They're going to pick up a lot of yards. He's walking to where they're going to go already. He's very comfortable and Ferris has to change that while they're on defense. Five wide receivers motion coming toward the formation from Dayton now back away.

Gravel drops the snap now I'll pick it up and run into the middle of the field and he will get to about the line of scrimmage maybe to the 35 yard line. So they may give him a yard. They'll spot it there the 35 and so now third and seven. So that was a key play there that basically they lost down there. They did lose it down.

He was ready to just. I don't know if they were gonna an option or what it was but he was already looking at the motion man to try and give him the ball. He just took his eyes with the ball too soon and muff the snap down. Near two minutes remaining to play first quarter in a scoreless game. Big third down here.

Third and seven at the Ferris 35. Dravel fades back right handed ball deep into the middle of the field man is open. It's Beal. Diving catch. Does he make it?

Yes. Touchdown. Touchdown for Central Valley. Elliott Beal with a diving catch on a post pattern in the end zone and CV jumps out on top here with 152 remaining to play in the first quarter. That was a fantastic throw.

Fantastic throw and an even better drive. All in all you get to turn over on defense, you come out on offense. You need to put some points on the board to let Ferris know that you are here to play. Dylan Gravel looked outstanding right there during that drive, completed passes, made some crazy throws that were able to be completed by his wide receivers and all in all put six on the board for his team.

Great drive going after from Aidan Labrosse. It is up and it is good. We will take a timeout. 1:52 left first quarter. It is Central Valley 7 fairest nothing on the Arby's GSL Game of the week 700 ESPN and 105.

All in all, we've seen two pretty good offices go to work and one of them put points on the other one. Turn it over. So I'm hoping that Ferris comes out here and does exactly what they did the last drive. Just make sure that we catch the ball when the ball's in our hands and don't give it away. That's all it is.

Ferris looked good on the last drive. Well, you're one of your keys to the game was avoiding the mistakes and Ferris was dinged by the mistake there. In their first time with the drive and the fumble deep in CB territory. Here's a quick throw on a screen and that ball is dropped a little middle screen that time set up for the wide receiver, Noah Porter. And so Olson, who was six out of six on his first drive, gets his first inner incomplete pass.

But that wasn't his fault. DB Camden Lanfear did not give him a chance to catch that ball at all either. He read it really fast, straight drove onto the pass and if the ball was caught, he was gonna take a really big hit because he was in the perfect position to go ahead and hit him. So all credit to Lamphere there for that play. Second down and 10 now for Ferris at their own 20 yard line.

Ball in the right hash here. Farid, the wall splits to the left side. He had three catches on that first drive. And they have two men split to the left, motion coming the left. Sam Markham, they handed off Maolo, hit in the backfield again and dropped for another big loss as they just have not been able to run the ball in this game.

Roman Jackson, a senior defensive tackle, was right there and that's going to be a loss of four more yards. It's a bit of an interesting play call there because you have an extra defender that you bring to the boundary side. It's that offset tight end. Then you motion a fly guy to the boundary again, but you run it to the field. You're taking away protectors from the field and running it that way.

It's not a good concept. When you have a CV defense like this, you're going against. So now a big third and 14. They converted one of these on the last drive on a pass to Le Wall, I believe. Back to throw.

Here's Olson throwing for the wall and he can't quite make a diving catch up around midfield. Pretty good coverage there for Central Valley by Blaine Beard and it was a great battle between the Wall and Beard and Lewal just about made a great catch. Really good pass there. Almost a good. A great catch.

He's diving for it, trying to battle to get it. I'm liking what I see. This Bears team is showing some fight, some grit. They're led by a quarterback who's throwing very accurate passes right now and that's what they need. They've got to come down with those passes when they need them because that was.

That would have been a first down. So here's a punt now for Ferris and Central Valley has a man back deep to receive in Ferris territory. Here's the boot away, a low line drive downfield. This will be grabbed by Dayton at the Ferris 42 runs to his right, gets hit at about the 35 and will be stopped there. And so CV is going to have excellent field position with 56 seconds remaining to play here in the first quarter.

Leading seven to nothing and they'll have it a as their own 36. First down and 10. So Farris back on defense again, trailing by seven. We'll see if they can get a stop with their backs up against the wall here. Are you ready to eat artsy Spokane?

36 from the right hand shotgun snap back. Revelle. Quick throw out to Dayton, catches at the 38, runs over the 35, cuts to his left, gets to the 30, is hit and thrown back from there as he was hit by Luke Nese and brought down as he gets to the 20, the 30 yard line for a gain of about six yards on first down.

So Dayton was six yards on that pickup and it'll be second down and four here, but I think we got a flag. Yep. So hold on, cv. So the play goes away normally, as you might know since we've done a few games together the last year or two, but I would be like, man, that's such an unfortunate penalty. However, they're taking it from the spot.

They're only five yards back now and this last on the last possession. CV also had a holding penalty where they were first out in 18 and they were still able to make it happen given off given based off of what CB did last possession. These penalties are not hurting them at all and so I would like to see them pick up his first down the same way they did last the last drive. So only a four yard penalty from the line of scrimmage from the 36 back to the 40. It was a spot foul.

The holding took place down the field so they marked it off from the 30 to the 40 yard line and so it's first and 14 now for the Bears and the CV bench had some kind of a I think they want some more time put on the clock here. Maybe the officials yeah, 40 seconds will go on the clock. It had run down to 24 and so now CB will have it first and 14 at the Saxon 40 yard line. Ball on the left hashtag. Three receivers right, two to the left.

Motion from Smith. They hand it to him. Fly sweep running to the right side, gets upfield across the 35 down inside the 30 and will be stacked up there. The officials will put him right at the 30. That'll be a gain of 10 yards and bring up second down and short.

So they overcome the first and 14. Exactly. And that's what I'm talking about. Until CV shows that these penalties are going to hurt them and they're not able to pick up first downs because of it, then that's where we start to get a little eerie. No team ever wants to have penalties, but when they happen and you have a good offense like you do, you can shake them off easily and get back to the next play.

Empty backfield. Will they run a play before the quarter ends? They do. Fly sweep to the left side here. Smith running to the near sidelines.

He'll have a first down. A Damon Orthodontics first down inside the 25. com live work play. All right, Larry Ware, Dahonte Hayes. 7 Nothing Central Valley. At the end of the first quarter of play, both teams moved the ball through the air. Ferris struggled to run.

CV has run fairly effectively and one turnover on Ferris so far in this game. Overall, a pretty clean first quarter, I'd say from this CV offense and defense. They did give up some yards, but they were able to get a stop again by Fares and they're looking good so far. First down and 10 at the 23 of Ferris and they will hand it off Dylan Smith and he. Or Danner.

Danner Smith and he is immediately hit and dropped as breaking through there for Ferris. I think was Jack Neal to bring him down as he gets back to the 26 yard line. Loss of about three. So Danner Smith loses three, second and 13 now trips to the right, one man wide to the left. Ball in the left hash movement up front.

Looks like Ferris is in the neutral zone. That's gonna. There's another mistake. You get him behind the sticks, second and 13 and then somebody's a little eager. Offside.

Now it's second and eight instead. But surprisingly that is only the first penalty on Ferris and it is the second quarter based off of kind of how we thought like, you know, when I say don't make underdog mistakes like a consistent base of these penalties is where you're making those underdog mistakes. But one penalty can be washed if they come back and make another big stop how they did on the last play. Second and eight, four receivers go right one to the left motion from Dayton. He will go back to the left side and here's a quick throw to him out of the backfield.

He catches it. But Ferris read that play very well. Jack Neal was right over there and he brought him down after a very short gain, only about three yards or so. That's just a really good play of knowing what your assignment is based off when the ball is hiked. Wide receiver motioned over.

At some point you could potentially lose your eyes if you're not really locked into what your keys are. Kept his eyes on him, allowed the wheel to develop and made the tackle as soon as the ball was catch or caught. So third and five now for Central Valley at the Ferris 18. In all likelihood four down territory, but we'll see. Here's Gravel rolling out to the right side, being pursued by Neil.

Goes to the sidelines, throws, has a catch down close to the 10 yard line. That's Landon Minick and that'll be good for a first down. Down to the 11 yard line. So a gain of seven yards and they move the sticks. Really good job of Dylan right there.

Keeping his eyes downfield even though he's being pursued. Pursued from behind, rolling to his right and looking to see if anyone was open. Got the easy jump off for the first down. Great IQ play there by Dylan. First down and 10, ball at the 11 of Ferris Gravel so far, 6 out of 6 according to my numbers, 81 yards passing in this ball game.

Shoulder throw high and outside looking for a Caden Harkin and the pass incomplete. So now third and eight from the nine yard line. That time the pressure got to him. That was the first time we've seen it all day. Pressure got to him, made him force the bad pass overthrown.

Let's see if this fares. Definitely get a stop here. That'll be a big time stop just to make them come away and maybe even just put three on the board. That'll be huge for them. You get down into the other teams inside their 10 yard line and if you can make them hold it for three points that would be huge for the Ferris defense.

Dylan is just sitting in the pocket there. He has someone running a post but there's two defenders right in front of him. He just allows his wide receiver to get to where he knows he's going to be. Leads him with the pass and it's an easy. It's a easy touchdown there.

They changed their running back and getting the ball up to about the 22 yard line and that'll be a gain of a couple of yards there and it'll be second down and eight. That's not Malolo anymore in the running backfield. I'm trying to see who that is back there. Well, maybe it was Malolo.

We'll call it Malolo gain a two on the play. Second down and eight. Four receivers, two to either side. That goes. Olson throws deep on the right side.

Good looking pass incomplete. Just a little bit too long. Looking again for Farid Law who did create a little separation in that route late Dante. Yeah, I kind of see what's going on here. So on the last drive he tried to.

They ran that same exact play concept instead of he was split out instead of being a slot receiver. When he threw that one, he threw it a little short which made him have to dive, which made him have to like dive to the side for it a little bit. He bobbled it, missed it. This time he was like, I'm gonna make sure that he outruns. He knows he's gonna be able to outrun his defender.

So he just leads him a little too much. It's the first time we've seen him actually lead someone that far. And I wouldn't be surprised to come back to because he's blowing past the Defender every time. Third down and eight now for the Saxons. Four wide receivers, two to either side.

Running back to Olson's right, he takes a waist high snap, fades back. Pressure up the middle. He sacked. Came with a blitz that time and it was Aiden labrosse, the guy that's been kicking the ball into the end zone that helped make that sack. And Zach McMurtry also gets a piece of it.

Loss of five, loss of seven and fourth down. Very sack of the game. I'm sorry. Very tough sack there. That's the last thing Fares needed was a three and out that quick on that drive.

Didn't even pick up more than five yards in that entire series. That's unfortunate because now CV has a lot of momentum. Second straight, three and out for Ferris. So Noah Porter or no excuse, I think it's Sam Markham is back there to punt. There's the snap back and the boot away.

Line drive downfield. Grabbed by Dayton at the 48 of Ferris. Starts to his left, gets to the 45 and will be knocked off his feet as he gets to about the 44 yard line. And so for the second consecutive possession, CB takes over in Ferris territory at the Saxon 44. Outstanding field position here.

It's time for Ferris defense to really, really buckle up here and, and do not allow CB's offense to take them for a ride. They really have to take control on this possession and show them that they're still in this game. For CV to go up three touchdowns going into halftime, it's. It's going to make Fares nearly impossible to come back from that. So here's Dylan Gravel.

He has completed all but one of his passes so far in the game. I have him 8 out of 9 unofficially for 92 yards. Motion coming from the left side. Smith, he gets it on the fly sweep running to the right. Dodges one man in the backfield, but can't dodge the next as he gets hit and taken down for a loss of about a yard on the play as Ferris did a nice job to kind of stretch that out.

Zach Darrington brings him down. Really nice job there. He had three defenders right in front of his face. Made one miss, almost made the second and third, but it was just too much for him to be able to handle. Great pursuit there by Ferris defense.

Second down and 11. Two receivers split to either side here. Revel takes the shotgun snap on the right hash. Bates back, gets a little pressure, moves out to the right side. Now retail treats now fires the ball to the sidelines.

And that is incomplete. No. Caught Nice catch for Central Valley that is made by Kimoni Davis and that's going to be a short gain but a gain instead of an incomplete pass. Dylan Gravel might be like one of the, one of the most consistent passers that I've seen this year so far. Normally guys if they're getting flush in the pocket they're quick to take off.

He's making sure that he's his eyes are downfield and and he's a pass, pass, pass first type of guy. We've only seen him run it what once or twice this game. So now third and eight at the Ferris 42. Three men down in the line and gravel to throw with pressure being pursued now will throw it down the middle of the field. Man is wide open but it's overthrown.

Kimoni Davis had I think kind of stopped in the middle of the field and Gravel kind of had thought that he was going to keep going down the middle of the field and overthrew him. Incomplete. Some very interesting business choice that he made there by just stopping in the middle of the field like that. He was wide open. Keep on running in your post.

That was a touchdown. That's six right there. And said now they're going to have to punt it and give the ball back to Ferris after an unfortunate three and out by this fares defense exactly what they needed. Ferris defense gets exactly what they needed as Deontay say says as they get this three down stop in their own territory. Their back was against the wall there they made a nice play.

Here is the punt. A high snap back and a rugby punt here downfield. Nice floating kick. This is going to hit at the 15, bounce back inside the 10, inside the 5. There are bears between the ball and the goal line and they'll down at the two so field position against Ferris this whole game so far and that was a fantastic punt that time and it's killed at the two yard line.

Great coverage as well. Fantastic punt. We've seen, we've seen some good kicks from the CB team whether it's on kickoff or through punts. I mean to get a stop to get the ball to roll to the two. It's.

They are at minus 15 yards rushing so far in this game. Movement up front, the left guard for Ferris move, but so did the left end for Central Valley.

So who did the CV defensive end get in the neutral zone before the left guard moved? That's the question here. The officials talking it over and it will be offside on Central Valley. So once somebody came and jumped into the neutral zone, that invalidated the movement from the Ferris left guard. And so a five yard penalty.

First and five now. And that's a big play for Ferris. They get a little room now. First and five out of the pistol. They hand it.

Malolo tries to bounce outside on the left side and he will drive forward to about the nine. So he's going to gain a couple of yards there, bring up a second down and three situation. And a rare positive yard run for Ferris. Still not really the biggest fan of this run game that Ferris is trying to put together. They've already had a lot of success through the air and they're in a spot right now where they have to put points up fast.

Running the ball allows the clock continue to move and they're only picking it up two yards per carry if that. 14 nothing. CV on top down inside. Six minutes remaining to play here in the first half. Second and three.

Ferris at their own nine out of the pistol formation. Olson takes a waist high snap, throws the ball deep right side into double coverage, incomplete. And that time they were all over Farid Law. They had a safety deep over the top and also the corner was back there with pretty good coverage, Camden Lamphere. And so it'll be now third down and three.

Those are just one of those preset reads already. He already knows our preset throws. He already knows bait before the balls even hiked. Who he's going to throw it to no matter what. That's pretty much what we're seeing there.

He's not really going through a read. He's not looking at his first, second or third progression. He's just automatically saying hike and throwing it straight to his key receiver. But he has to open up the receivers and allow everyone to get a chance to show what they can do. That's how you make this defense stop doing what they're doing right now.

They were so good with those short passes early on. Let's see if they do it here. Nope. They hand it off on third down and three and Malolo is hit for A loss back at the eight yard line. So that's a loss of one.

Brandon Thomas was in there on that stop. Also in there was McMurtry again and so no gain on the play. Fourth down. What a game Brandon Thomas is having early, huh? That's a name that we've already said a few times, especially after he recovered the fumble.

He's coming in, he's making contact with guys every single play. Very aggressive player. I'm like what I see from him. So another three and out for Ferris. Fourth and three at their own nine here and they will punt it away.

And Dayton stands at the, the Ferris 40. And we have movement up front and if this is on cv, it's a first down. This is on. If this is on cv, then CV is going to have to buckle down because they've had a few different times. I mean this is two times in one possession where you jump give them five yards.

Wow. So it is that encroachment penalty. That's, that's a tough one to take if you're CV. So 5 yards gives a Damon orthodontics. First down now to Ferris and their offense was on the first off the field.

Not expecting to come back out. Yeah, get to come back out now and continue this drive. That's their first drive in a while, so the penalty keeps this drive alive. 455 remaining to play. Clock running here in the second quarter.

14. Nothing in favor of the Central Valley Bears Pistol formation with Malolo behind the quarterback. Olson, here's a quick throw out to the right side. That ball is caught by the wall over the 20, out to the 25 and he should have a first down to about the 26. That was kind of a one waffle or pass out there.

Just kind of wobbled out there. But Law was able to make a nice catch of it. Gains 11 yards. Very long catch and throw to that screen to the far side. He's all the way in the boundary.

Throwing it to the open field receiver. That's, that's, that's a hard time throw. That's why it was so wobbly and high. Just it's a little bit too far of a distance. And so now Olson is first completion in his last five attempts.

And that 11 yard play to the wall makes it first down and 10. Now out of their own 25. Ball in the right hash mark. Two tight ends in the game. Two receivers go to the left and they hand it off.

Not much room there. There just isn't anywhere to go for this Ferris running game. Malolo taken down in the backfield. There were two guys all over him on that play. He had no chance.

Sam Khan was there on the stop. Loss of two. The run defense from CV is outstanding. They're not allowing Fares to even get a yard, even sniff a yard. It's impossible for them to pick up anything.

But the pass game is. It still is very good for Fares. I want to see them just continue to utilize that. The run game is not working at all. Pass, pass, pass.

We're just wasting downs and time on the clock by trying to continue to run the ball. Wide receivers to either side. Two tight ends in the game out of the pistol. Snap back, knee high to Olson. Throws deep right side looking for the wall and that is knocked away incomplete.

Good play by the cornerback there. I think it was Blaine Beard running step for step with the wall there and was able to get a hand in and bat that one away. You love a good lock, lean locate from your corner. He was able to play it great. Locked in, leaned up against the wide receiver and batted the ball down for a pbu.

It's a big time play from a young corner. I like that. It was actually Kaden Harmon that knocked that one away. Rather than be outstanding. Either way, it doesn't.

They knocked it away. It's still a good play. You don't see too much, too much too many times where you go on one on one covers like that, you don't get a PI call. It's good job. So now third and 12 for Ferris and time called or they ran out of time on the play clock or did they get a timeout?

They got a timeout. We'll take a timeout. We have 331 left. First half, 14 nothing. CV back in one minute on the Arby's GSL game of the week.

Loss of 10 fourth down. So big play there by the CB defense and they will get the ball big time player. That's how you make it make up for the penalty that was earlier. You gave them an extra lifeline. They were not able to capitalize off a good job.

CV Here's a nice high punt downfield to his left. Back to the Ferris 49 is Dayton. He returns it over the 45 and will be knocked off his feet as he gets down to the 42 yard line. And so again Central Valley taking over in Ferris territory. They've possessed the ball four times in this game.

They've taken it on the Ferris end of the field the last three so that's tough when your defense is playing basically with their backs to the goal line here the whole first half. So CV at the Ferris 41 they have all three of their timeouts remaining and they lead at 14 to nothing but 254 remaining to play here in the half. Two receivers split to the right, one man wide to the left. Gravel. The quarterback takes the snap, hands it off.

Smith bounces outside to the right side, crosses the 40 and gets bulldog down as he gets close to the 35 yard line as he gets dragged down in the play for the Ferris Saxons by a mysterious number 22 that is not on the roster. So a gain of 5. Smart thing for CV to do now, just continue to run the ball. Looks like they're in an empty formation though. I don't think that's going to happen on this one.

But they want to continue to make this clock run out so where they can keep their league going in the half. On second down back to throw it is Gravelli as time rolling now to the right side, being pursued, throws to the sidelines and it is incomplete pass intended for Kaden Harkin and so now it'll be third down at about six. Well third down at about five for Central Valley. It's a pretty good play there plastering your wide receiver when you're when you're on a defensive pursuit, you see the quarterback rolling out. Earlier they had the same play, was able to complete it for a three yard game.

This time it was a pbu. That's how you make good transition throughout throughout different series. On third and five, Gravel looks left, comes back to the right. Nobody open. Now fires downfield incomplete.

Overthrown looking for Dayton, his outstanding wide receiver. Pretty good job by Ferris to break through there and put a little pressure on him. So now fourth down and five at the 36 yard line. Let's see if CV goes for it here. 210 remaining in the half.

I think they should, they should just go for that. Third up 14 points. One thing they can get here is a first down or turn it over on downs. Ferris hasn't shown they can move the ball that well. Go ahead and go for it.

One man splits to the right, ball on the right hash. Three men wide to the left out of the shot gun. Gravel now looks to the bench. He has seven seconds on the play clock. And now timeout is going to be taken here by Central Valley.

So either there was a huge mistake by CV to not get the playoff in time coming out of the break or did they get a timeout and so now they're going to wave off the flag. Timeout taken by Central Valley. So CV takes the timeout so they don't get hit with a penalty there and they will get another opportunity here. On fourth down and five yards to go. They just got to make sure they're really, really sound here. They got to make sure they don't jump like they like how they did earlier or how CV did earlier. Gave them back a possession. Be really smart here, make a good play. On fourth down and five gravel out of the gun.

Three receivers left, one right, looks left, throws left and has a catch for a first down down near the 25 yard line. It's going to be a pickup of about 10 yards on the play. And a first down to Minick. No George. Ditto on the catch.

So ditto on the catch hauls that in. That's just a little too easy there for the CB offense too. There's not enough pressure on these wide receivers. No reason to back up if you already have sticks. So on first and 10 now from the 26 yard line, here's a little screen thrown to the left side that is caught by Dayton.

Tries to bounce outside and he is overrun. Beautiful play for the Ferris defense that time by Luke Nese and it was Beal actually that made the catch and they will give him to the 26 for a gain of a yard. But great play by nice. Really good tackle there. Drove his feet.

Made sure he came down top of the ball carrier too to make sure that he really felt that good tackle. Second down and nine. Ball down at the Ferris 26 clock running down to a minute 15 remaining to play here in the half. CV second down and nine at the 26 gravel. Gets the shotgun snap, fades back, gets some pressure and spins right into the blitzing Linebacker who sacks him, Isaac woods is going to get credit for the sack.

All the way back of the 41, Gravel tried to spin out and he spin spun right into the arms of the defender. I was saying that was Dylan McCain. So they've got a different guy wearing 33 than what's on our roster. It's a big time sack there. Definitely changed the whole dynamic of these downs and if you can just play it from depth and play everything downhill, you'll be able to stop them and come away with the ball back for ferris.

Loss of 14 yards in that play. Third down and long. Running out to the left side now is Gravel under pressure. Hits, fumbles the ball and is able to fall on it. Back of the 47 yard line there's a loss of seven more yards.

So just a moment or two ago they were at the 26 of Ferris. Now they're all the way back at the Ferris 47. It'll be fourth down in about 30 yards and Ferris will take a timeout with the 11 seconds remaining to play here in the half. Pretty interesting time out here. I mean they haven't had too much success with, with being able to drive the full length of the field quite yet and put some points on the board.

CB's gonna come out and punt it. You might lose a few seconds off the clock but if your office comes back out, you really don't have any time to actually make a good play down field unless you just hail married it up. I mean it would have to be one of two things here. If you're Ferris in this situation, you're all either coming all out for a block to try to block this punt or you're going to play for a return and see if you can't return it. And I suppose if your cv you just want to get the punt off and don't necessarily kick it to the deep man.

Yeah, if your cv, I say kick it, just kick it and allow your cover people to go down there and make some good plays because I mean they've had really good success. No reason to try and change it up too. Too much going into this half because you've already had a lot of success and you're up two touchdowns. So CV will punt it away, Bo Butner will do that and Ferris is not doing either. They're not, they don't have a man deep to return the punt and they're not.

And now they take a timeout. I don't think they were expecting CB to punt it there, but what else are they going to do on 4th and 30 at near midfield? Yeah, I'm not quite sure. I think he thought they were going to go for it because they went for it on fourth down a little bit earlier. But I mean this is a huge difference than earlier.

They're fourth down and what is it, 31, fourth down and 31. There's no way that CB should go for it here. Fair's got to know that they're going to come out and pump formation and put their foot on the ball. I'm just gobsmacked by this whole thing because Ferris took the time out. Well, you don't take a time out to play safe, which is what they were doing on the punt team there.

Meaning they were guarding against a fake, but they didn't have a deep man and they didn't have 11 guys at the line trying to block the punt. They weren't doing either of the things that I was that I thought they might do. And now I'm not smart enough to be a coach, I'll admit that right now. But my golly, I thought for sure that they'd either go all out for a block or and they still don't have anybody back and they're still playing safe, playing the same exact way they were earlier. So rolling out now and punting downfield is Butner.

This is going to hit at about the 15 yard line, take a left hand turn and die at the 16 and the half runs out at the end of it all. John Olson, the quarterback, was five out of five for 56 yards and they got the ball down inside the 30 of Central Valley. And then Olson completed a pass to Fareed Lawl, but it was a little bit behind him and Lawl kind of caught the ball on his shoulder pad and was trying to gain control of the ball as well as transfer it into his hands and the ball was stripped away. It was ruled a fumble recovered by Brandon Thomas, a CB, and the Bears took over at their own 28. They drove down the field eight plays 72 yards and it was a 35 yard passing touchdown on a third and seven play from the quarterback Dylan Gravel to the wide receiver Elliot Beal and that 35 yard passing touchdown made it 6 nothing.

Aiden Labrosse kick the point. It was a 7 nothing ballgame in favor of Central Valley. Ferris in their next possession after being so good on that first possession went three and out and they were deep in their own end as well when they started and so the punt only had went to the Ferris 36 yard line and the Saxons had a eight play 36 yard drive and a nine yard passing touchdown from Gravel to Landon Minick and the point after was good by Aidan labrosse.

It was 14 to nothing. Each squad went three and out. Ferris then on a punch situation looked like they were going to go three and out, but CV was called for an offside penalty. So Ferris got a first down, they got the ball up to about the 25 yard line, ended up having to punt. They ended up taking a sack.

After they got out to about their own 25, CV took over at the Ferris 41. They could not drive in. And you've got to give the Ferris defense some credit here because the last two times Central Valley had the ball they had it starting at the Ferris 44 and at the Ferris 41. And both those times the Ferris defense was able to stiffen and stop Seabee really from I think they might have gotten one first down on those two possessions. Might not even have gotten I well I think they did end up getting a first down because then they had the consecutive sacks that pushed Seavey back out closer to midfield.

So great job by the Ferris defense at the end of the first half to hold CB out of the end zone when this could be a 28 nothing or 20 to nothing or 24 to nothing, depending on whether you're kicking field goals, scoring touchdowns or a combination of the two. Ferris should probably be down a lot more than they are at this point in time, but they still trail by just 14 here at the intermission. Well, you can give back to high school activities by becoming a referee, an umpire, or any sport that needs an official. You can go ahead and give your time to that. That's the battle of unbeatens and we'll tell you more about that when we get to the standings in the gsl. Also Cheney is playing at Mead tonight or tomorrow night.

I should say Lewis and Clark visits University and Ridgeline will be at Davis in the non league game prep 6 and oh mount spokane six zero mead five and one u high lc cv all three and three. Then cheney at two and five. Ferris and ridgeline bring up the rear. I think you've seen both Prep and Mount Spokane to haunt a this season. What do you expect tomorrow night?

I have but when I seen G Prep they were just now transitioning into having their new quarterback. They weren't quite satisfied or put together with what was going on in the first game. However, they were able to develop and allow him to get comfortable and I don't know, G Prep might come in tomorrow and look amazing because they. I can definitely. I've been seeing the stats and everything and looks like they're rolling.

One thing that Mount Spokane is going to have to do that nobody else has been able to do in the GSL is stopped by the dive. The dive. The dive is what's been hurting everyone and it's going to continue to hurt people into teams show that they can stop it. Yeah, Liko Mika, Mika Alay and Noah Holman have been just about every game combining for 200 or 250 yards of rushing offense for Gonzaga Prep. So interesting game there tomorrow.

Mount Spokane, a very dynamic passing game. Haberman their quarterback is, is. Is having a fantastic season. He's got a wealth of receivers so that should be really a fun game. That is the SWX game tomorrow on the two A side of things.

Big game on Saturday at U High as Clarkston takes on Shadow Park. Shadow's on top at 4 0, Clarkston at 4 and 1 in second place and so first place on the line on Saturday. Clarkston playing Shadow park at UHIYA 1 o' clock game Friday night Rodgers at West Valley. East Valley is at Pullman and North Central will be idle heading into to next week's game against Rogers. Our halftime statistics being brought to you by our friends at. They also bring you all those touchdown drive recaps. All right. For Central Valley, I had them at 7 rushing yards in the first half, 106 passing yards for 113 yards of total offense. And for Ferris, you're not going to see a whole heck of a lot difference.

Central Valley had 25 or had seven rushing yards. Ferris minus 25 in the first half in that. So we between the two teams minus 18 yards on the ground. So there's. We're not seeing powerhouse rushing teams here today like a Gonzaga Prep, unofficially, 79 passing yards for 54 yards of total offense.

For Central Valley in the first half of play, I had Dylan Gravel at 106 yards of passing. 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 15, 11 out of 15 for 106 yards and two passing touchdowns. In the first half I had Hudson Dayton at five catches for 36 yards. Dave Nichols of the Spokesman has him for four catches and he is nearing De Huntay, the top 10 list in a single season for receptions he needs. Depending on whether I'm right or Dave right, he needs three or four to get into the top 10 in receptions in a season.

That's what it's all about. He's touching those record books. That puts him in a whole different level than what I was already thinking of what he was doing tonight. I'm already thinking he's a good receiver, he's making good catches, he's helping his team out. But knowing that he's nearing that stat is awesome.

That's amazing. He should definitely be committed for that. So Dayton, five catches according to my stats, 36 yards. Landon Minick two for 16 and a touchdown. Elliot Beal one for 35 and a touchdown.

Nobody else had more than one catch. For CV, I had Danner Smith with eight carries for 27 yards in the first half of play. And then Dylan Gravel was sacked twice at the end of the half, minus 20 on three carries in the first half of play for him. For Ferris, I had Joel Malolo, the running back, nine carries for a minus eight yards and Olson two for a minus 17. He was sacked twice for those two carries.

Olson passing seven out of 12 in the first half of play and that was good for 79 yards. No touchdowns, no interceptions. Reed Law, four catches for 58 yards Sam Markham two for 15 and nobody else had more than one catch for for Ferris in the first half. The turnover battle. One for Ferris, none for CB in the first half of play.

And neither team really was penalized all that much. But there were a couple of penalties that hurt each team in this first half of play. So there are your first half statistics with Central Valley leading by the score of 14, nothing here at the intermission. So they've had a full half of entertainment here as at the start you had the honoring of the CB cheerleaders who are seniors. So they had the senior day for the players and now at the halftime they had the senior day for the cheerleaders and then you had a big band performance and now you've got a dance performance for the cheerleaders who are getting an opportunity to perform here at the intermission as well here at Central Valley High School.

Our Arby's GSL Game of the Week next week will come to you from Union Stadium on Thursday night, one of the oldest rivalries in GSL football as the Rogers Pirates will take on the North Central Wolf Pack. Or in the old days it was North Central against Hilliards before Hilliard was renamed Rogers. So they've been playing for better than 90 years in this rivalry. The Sparrow Saxons are out on the field but we haven't seen hide nor hair of the Central Valley Bears at this point in time.

So I'm not sure where they're going to come out and start the second half with the team went on strike. Yeah, being up 140 they're like hey, I just don't want to play. Here comes your night. All the fans. Nah, here comes cv.

They're starting to ask down to bar right here. But you've got to give credit to Hunte to the Ferris defense in the first half of play. This game should be bigger score than 14 to nothing twice. CV took over on the Ferris end of the field and Ferris defense kept them out of the end. In fact, not only kept it, they barely gave up a first down in those two possessions.

If you just watch this type of game that we're watching right now based off of the way Dylan Gravel is playing at quarterback, looks really good at quarterback. He's comfortable in the pocket, able to make some really big plays downfield. However, Fares is taking that away from him and making it to where he's, he's having a game where he has to think a lot more. And you can see that on the last possession he got sacked a few times, he gave up a lot of yards. He even fumbled on that last play.

And it just kind of shows what exactly this Ferris defense is doing, which is this is huge, it's commendable and this is like what they needed. We said that they had to take control of the game. They couldn't make underdog mistakes. They've barely made any underdog mistakes. They're just being outplayed a little bit on offense, that's all.

If they're they get their office together. This is a completely different game because their defense is rolling and they're actually making good plays. If they hadn't fumbled on that very first possession, they may have come out of there with points and you have to wonder how this game would have changed had they been able to score there. That's the one major mistake they've made. Yeah, and those Mistakes can definitely be something that hurts you and right now it's hurting because they're down 14.

It's not because they're being dominated or this is a way better team than them. They're just down because they had an unfortunate turnover that swayed the the momentum. CV was able to drive all the way down the field. Then they come after making a very unorthodox and weird throw to keep the drive alive. That's kind of where it all came from with the CV offense and they've just been able to make plays downfield more than what Ferris has been able to make.

So Ferris, they were out here on time and they warmed up and they're all standing around the sidelines right now of Central Valley is just starting to warm up and they've added time on the clock for Central Valley to warm up now. So we will have a little bit of a delayed start here in the second half of play as CB warms up for the, for the start of the second half of play, which I'm a little surprised they're letting CV at a 20 minute halftime here, which is longer than normal. So I'm a little surprised they're letting them have the. Of course you don't want kids to get hurt here in this situation. So maybe there was some sort of miscommunication and the time was not given to the CB coaches that hey, you've got five minutes or whatever, they give them time cues a lot of times in the locker room to let them know when they need to come out.

Maybe that got miscommunicated or somebody stuck their head in the wrong room or who knows what happens there. But they're going to let CV warm up here before we get the second half underway. So I agree a 23 minute halftime can be a bit excessive for these players. Make sure that they maintain the same warmth that they went to halftime with. Ferris was out early enough to be able to get warm.

CV hasn't quite given themselves opportunity so hopefully that doesn't hurt them in this and they come out and Ferris is ready to go warmed up and amped up and CVs kind of a little bit sluggish because they only got a few minutes to warm up. Well, you said you stuck your nose outside there at the. At halftime it's cooling off a bit. Little bit. It is.

It's a bit chilly out there and this is going to take what. What they do right now is going to be big. They have to come out warm and they don't want these little Intermediate little twitch injuries that start happening because that's what happens when the weather goes from warm to cold. Your body starts to do the same thing and you cannot run around and operate off cold muscles. And CV doesn't need any more injuries.

They've been hit by those plenty at this point in time this season. And according to my phone here, it says 53 degrees right now. So that's we're starting. Fall is finally hitting. It took it about a month, but fall is here.

And unfortunately it looks like we're going to go straight from late summer to late fall without our nice early fall in between here. So Ferris won or CB won the coin toss at the start of the game. They deferred to to the second half. So Ferris got the ball to start the half and so now Ferris will kick off to start the second half of play here and CB will get the ball to start the second half of play. And our second half in our second half kickoff is being presented by Papa Murphy's change the way you pizza Dayton back deep to receive.

Hudson Dayton back there along with his cohort at wide receiver Kaden Harkin as they will get ready for Luke Nese's kickoff. CV will move from right to left as we look at it in front of us here in the second half of play. Ball on the tee. Here's the run forward by Nice. Here's the boot downfield.

Andover end short. This is going to bounce at the 15. Back to Harkin at the 12. He brings it up the left side over the 20 running trying to get outside on the right side and he's tripped up and brought down at about the 21 or 2 yard line. That was really a good defensive play by Ferris that time to keep that return stymied.

And Terry for Ferris brings him down. Luke Terry, big time tackle. There are nothing but green right in front of him. I would love to see him hit the left side instead. But he chose to go to that open field which made Ferris have an opportunity to make a big time tackle.

And he actually lost a few yards on that play. I said Luke Terry, Jonah Terry is the guy that brought him down. And so first down and 10 for CV. They've got at their own 21 yard line here. Motion from Dayton left to right through the formation, toss sweep to the left right side and getting hit in the backfield is Smith and run backward from there.

Nice job that time. The first guy to hit him was Dylan McCain and other guys came over and helped out. That's a loss of a yard in that first running play. That's the first time we see them open up the playbook and run that play. I actually like that they just get one more blocker to be able to come down and hit that.

They pick up some good yardage there. I wouldn't be surprised to come back to that. To more of the field side. So second and 11 now for the Bears. Ball on the right hash at their own 20.

Two receivers split left, one man wide to the right, they'll hand it off, winding back to the left side. Smith trying to get to the corner, running laterally, gets hit at about the 21, breaks the tackle. Bean hemmed in now moves up field and will get to about the 24 before he is gang tackled there. So a good gain there by Smith to gain four yards out of a play in which he might not have been entitled to get much of anything if he didn't run aggressive there. He was not supposed to pick up that many yards.

He ran aggressive, made it three to four, guys hit him and bounce off and fly around. He just kept his feet moving and picked up a few yards, but that's still good aggressive yards. So now another big third down for CV. Third and seven at their own 20. Four trips right, one man wide, left ball in the left hash Gravel looks to the sidelines.

Moving from his left to his right is the running back Smith. Three men down in the line for the Saxons. They rush three. Here's a quick throw that is caught breaking one tackle and I they being short of the first down. Spun out of bounds.

Over there is Beal at the 28 yard line. Good job by the Ferris defense. Gain of four, it'll be fourth down and three and I'll have to punt. They come back to that short intermediate sticks route. However, he didn't know where the sticks were.

He ran it just a yard too short. Great play call there. Just got to know where you are on the field to be able to pick up that first down because you were open. Give him five yards on the play. Fourth down and two.

Bo Butner will boot it away. And here's a low line drive kick downfield. This will be fielded on the run at the 44. Run back over the 50, 45, 40 down the right sidelines inside the 35 to the 30. And down at about the 29 or 8 yard line is the return man for Ferris, I believe.

Well, that's Our mysterious number 22 Again that is not on the roster. Nolan Heaton. So the interesting thing about that, I don't think you picked up right when you've seen it was that CV only has 10 players on the field. So when they only had 10 players on the field, that opened up up a whole spot for the return man to be able to make a play there. Last second Elliott Beale tried to hop onto the field just like to step on and say he was, he was lined but he was never on the field the whole time.

And then he stepped right off when the ball was hiked. They only had 10 players playing that entire possession and there was a penalty there on Ferris. And so that marks that back to the 45 yard line. And so Ferris takes over at the CV45 here for the first time. They start a possession in bear territory.

Deep ball over the middle, leaping try, incomplete, looking for the wall. They've got two players around him at all times as he was not open at all that time. Good coverage by Bo Butner for Central Valley along with Camden Lanphear. You see Sam, Sam Markham come back to the huddle and tap, tap him on the head. Just let him know John, I'm, I'm open.

Let him know like he's open every single time we, he has started opening up the playbook and allow other receivers to be able to get a chance because he has some open guys. They're double teaming, they're double teaming Farid every single time. There's no, we have to start looking in other places if you want to be able to put some points on the board. On second and ten they hand it off to Malolo. He breaks one tackle and gets tackled finally at the 44 yard line after a one yard pickup.

Zach McMurtry brought him down after that one yard gain. So now third down and nine. So Malolo gets a yard. It'll be third and nine here for Ferris. And that short passing game that works so well.

That first drive, they haven't gone back to it and it's kind of confusing. And that's a little bit what you were talking about earlier, Dante, with Markham being open. I would love to see them come back to that. Even if pick up four yards here. It's fourth down.

This is four down territory. They have to put points of the board motion coming through to the right side. Here's a quick throw on a slant to the left and it is incomplete. Just leading Noah Porter a little bit too long. Kimoni Davis there on the stop.

So it'll be fourth down and nine and a three and out for Ferris and a missed opportunity big time. Miss opportunity. You're in great field position here. You can go ahead and drive the field. All you needed was just a few yards to make it four down territory and you can potentially pick up that first down and drive down field.

Right now they're just trading kicks. Dayton back deep to receive. Good snap back. Here's the boot away. Low line drive.

Grabbed at the 16 yard line and muffed by Dayton. That balls loose inside the 15. Who's got it? I think CV recovers. Boy that was huge there as Hudson Dayton muff that punt.

But he was able to get on at the 15 yard line and so the Bears will take it first down and 10. I have no idea how he was able to recover that one. I thought that was definitely in Ferris hands. But he was able to come away with it, which is big for his team because last thing they needed was to get allow fares to be in the red zone based off of a fumble after punting it. So first down and 10 here for the Bears at their own 15.

From the left hash they've got beal split to the left side and three men are wide to the right here. Three men down in the line for the Saxons. Snap back. Quick throw right side. There's a catch on a little screen.

Getting outside. Over the 20 and out of bounds. Over across the way. That is Hudson Dayton on the catch. He gets up to the 24 yard line.

Good first down play. 9 yards. Pretty good first down play for sure. I would love to see him stay in bounds so the clock continues to run. They already have a 22 touchdown lead, but they haven't scored in a while.

You want to make sure this game goes by and you guys come away with the win. Don't allow Farris out so much time when they get the ball back. So second down in a yard. The entire playbook is open here. Four receivers go to the left, one man wide to the right.

Gravel empty backfield takes the shotgun snap thigh high, fades back inside the 15. Throw short, has a catch but nothing there. Hit immediately is the receiver. That was very well played for Ferris by Jack Neal who hit him right at the line to gain. He end up getting it 2 yard pickup but man that was a great defensive play.

Huge defensive play there. But what I'm liking from CV is they're finally starting to see with a stick star. He runs that route directly at the sticks to make sure that when he catches it there's no any gets tackled. There's no doubt about whether he has the first down or not. That's big and that's something that they didn't do in the last possession when they ran that stick hit Trout.

So two yards on the play. First down. Here's a little screen out again. This is Hark. No, this is Dayton out over the 35 yard line.

And he gets knocked off his feet as he gets the to the 36 as he is brought down by Heaton. But that's a 10 yard pickup and another Damon Orthodontics first down. I think that's around three catches in a row for him. Right. Which means he may have just hit his top 10.

Yes, he's very close to that. Ideally to have eight which would put him in that top 10. So maybe if he gets one more, this would definitely show that he has it. There he goes. And there's a little swing out to Dayton.

He's got it. Takes it up to the 40 yard line. Working the right side and his knocked down as he gets to the 43. So another seven yards for Hudson Dayton. I have that as his ninth catch.

Dave Nichols probably has it as eighth catch. So either way he's in the top 10 in the single season in GSL record history. There he goes. He's in the record books now. The only thing that's to really stamp this is coming away with a win.

Gravel has completed all five of his passes in the second half and is 16 out of 20 for the game. For 139 yards. Second down and four at their own 43. Here's another quick throw. And that ball is caught.

Went through one receiver and caught by another. And he gets over the 50 yard line down to the 49. Beal ends up with it. But that ball went off the hands of Dayton, I think, and a defensive back was right there and somehow it went in the hands of Beal and it's a nice little pickup. They came back to the same screen they've ran all day.

They have Dayton lined up at the slot receiver. He just takes one step forward. Boom. Screen corner. Read it perfectly.

So a flag was thrown, I think for illegal touching. But then they picked that up because I don't think it can be touched by an offensive player. I don't think then it can be touched by another offensive player. Unless a defensive player touches it. I think.

I'm not quite sure the rules on that specifically, especially in this league. It's a little bit different. It's always changing a lot. I'm just very grateful that they were able to recover that and catch that. That was a huge reception.

That's big Time play there to be able to locate that ball out there bounce the your teammate's helmet. So on first down back to throw in a quick throw, beal with it and he. Or no incomplete as he couldn't hang on to that one. Good job by Neil once again. Or excuse me, Luke Neese.

I'm sorry, Luke Nese was there and he brings. Or he got a. Should get credit for a pass broken up there. I guess what I'm trying to say despite all the success that CB's having right now on offense, Ferris is also playing around playing some pretty good defense. They just have a lot of guys on CB's offense that are coming out and blocking a lot of lead blockers.

That's allowing these players to develop a lot more than what they should. So on 2nd and 10 at the Ferris 49 they handed off bouncing outside on the right side is Smith running laterally and he's going to be hit and drop for a loss again. This Ferris defense doing a nice job. Jack Neal was there. There were other players all around him as well.

Loss of one. That goes back to what I'm saying. You see how they could when the contact was made on that to bring that ball carrier down. You see how many defenders were there? Nine to 10 guys.

That's what you want in your defense. Great pursuit there and keep at it. Stir down now. Third and 11 now for Central Valley with a ball at midfield from the right hash trips left. One man wide right snap back.

Waist tied to gravel. Fades back long throw down the middle of the field. Pass incomplete. There was contact between the defensive back and the receiver Dayton. But either the contact was incidental, the pass was uncatchable according to the officials.

No flag fourth down. I agree with that. No call there as well. There's been a few plays throughout the game that have allowed CV or Ferris to keep their drives alive without them actually earning it right there. The refs kept it true.

Said that catch was uncatchable. Let's go ahead and allow Ferris to get the ball back after this punt. So ready to punt it away is Bo Butner. And again they only had 10 players on the field and a guy runs out late and he's not even covered now he kind of runs down the field to cover the kick but he's not. So they're having some communication problems on the CB sidelines.

Who's supposed to be out there on. On punt team? Yeah, it was Elliott Bill both times and they know like the refs are talking to him now that he has to go all the way. It's just that's two times in a row you guys are up 14 points. It's not really a comfortable spot to make mistakes that could potentially hurt you because that's a penalty right there and that makes it to where you're kicking it and potentially giving Ferris better yards, better field position.

And so officials are talking about it here. Let's see what the penalty is as our referee comes to the center of the field. Hold is called against Central Valley and I believe what they'll do is tack 10 yards on to the end of the play. The ball spotted at the 18 yard line. So if that's right, then they should get it at the 28 and it looks like that's what's going to happen.

So Ferris gets a little better field position. It's still 14 nothing Central Valley 626 remaining to play here in the third quarter. And here comes this Ferris offense as we haven't really had too much offensively happen here in the second half. Really want this same Ferris team that came out in the first over opening drive to come out right now. And we have the left end coming across.

Was he drawn off or did he come off on his own? Ferris says penalty on cv. We'll see what the officials say. They say penalty cv. That's a pretty interesting offsides there.

When he ran for about three yards deep and then ran and just kept on going when the ball was. Normally people would try and get back. He was like forget it, I'm already here. I'm caught red handed. Five yards on the penalty.

First down and five handoff Malolo. And that hasn't worked all game. He gets buried for a loss of yards. Brandon Thomas was in there. A loss.

Back to the 30 of three yards. So instead of first and five it's second and eight. Based off the statue, think okay, second and eight, not too bad. However you got were just first out. You guys are just first out of five.

So you were going the wrong way. The CV off the CV defensive line continues to get back there and make big plays in the run game. And it, it's outstanding from them. They haven't let up all day. The run game has not been there for them.

So back to the 30 yard line. Down to 550 remaining to play third quarter and they're gonna have to hustle to get this playoff. They're down to seven seconds and they're not to the line of scrimmage yet. Down to three on the play clock and they do get the snap off. It's a draw to Malolo.

Hit in the backfield, breaks free and can't get away from the second wave. There's another loss of yardage. So you have it first and five. You run the ball when you had minus 25 yards rushing in the first half two times and now you're at third down and 12. They're going to have to either add another protect if they want to stay true to this run game and just allow their team to become a run first type of team.

Just allow someone to come in and be an extra defender, an extra blocker for you while you're up there trying to run the ball. You have to have someone lead block from Alolo. There's no way. He can't even take one step without getting hit in the backfield. It's not his fault.

It's just the fact that they need extra protection. These are pretty big guys that CV has on the defensive front. 12 rushes, minus 13 yards back to throw Olson. Now here's another deep ball into double coverage again and overthrown. And again.

There's nowhere that pass can be thrown to be complete. As Butner was back there, among others, they had two men, another man was back there as well. And so now it's fourth down. So you had it first and five and it ends up fourth and 11. And he stood in the pocket there and took a huge hit after throwing that pass.

I mean he's showing he wants it. But right now they're not able to pick up any yards when they've completely changed 180 degrees. What they did in their first drive when they drove it right down the field. And so they'll punt it away here and there's the boot downfield. Low line drive.

Hudson Dayton, can't make the catch, is going to roll back inside the 30, back inside the 25 and will be downed at about the 21 yard line. So that took about 20 yards of roll that time. Dayton just couldn't get over to his right to try to make that catch. And CB will take over at their own 21 here with 444 remaining to play third quarter in a 14 nothing ballgame. Let's see here.

So CB with the ball. We have had very little offense so far here in the third quarter of play. We've had four punts so far. And CB takes over at their own 21 yard line which is where they started the second half of their own 21. Deep ball left side into coverage.

That ball is incomplete as Ferris had a couple of defensive backs back there. And it may have been Emerson Monk tipping that ball and Beal ended up not being able to make the adjustment in the catch on the sidelines. It's a great read and break there from. From Monk. He read it, put his feet first, eyes first, went straight towards the ball.

Was able to make. Make a good play there. I mean it was. It was still a catchable ball but because of his deflection he was. Bill was not able to see where the ball was at all.

So trips to the left. One man wide to the right. Ball on the right hash. 2nd and 10 at their own 21 motion coming out to the right side. And they will throw it over the middle of the field.

Incomplete. On a little slant that time. Looking for Dayton. And So now it's third down and 11 yards to go. Check it.

It was Blaine Beard that was in the game as the intended receiver there. CV's office line has done a good job of holding his defensive front all game. However, now that they're starting to transition into this play action type of plays, they're allowing Ferris defensive line to get through and that's causing pressure. So now 3rd and 10 at their own 21 for CV. Snap back, waist tight.

Revelle rolls out to the left side. Looking downfield. Nobody open. Running to the sidelines now. Firing it deep down the sidelines.

Had a man open and that ball is caught. Dayton hauls it in all the way down at the Ferris 36 yard line. That's going to be a Damon Orthodontics first down. That was a beautiful play and a nice throw. Great throw.

He's. He does a good job of when he's scrambling out of the pocket. That was. That was the design, Boo. So he booted out to his left.

That's a hard throw to make for any quarterback, especially when you're right handed. He's going to his left and he's just keeping all the receivers just keep on going. Just tell him keep on going. Is able to deliver that great play. 43 yards on the play.

Here's a quick screen out to Dayton and it's off his hands. Incomplete. Wanted to run with it before he caught it and so it'll be second down and 10. So 43 yards in that passing game for Dayton and CV is now at the Ferris 36. Second down and 10 and Daytona I think had some running room there and he wanted to run with it before he caught it.

Beal split to the left, Dayton and one other receiver goes to the right. They fake the handoff running to the right as the quarterback Revel hit and drop for a loss that did not fool the left defensive end who was all over that play for the Ferris Saxons. I think it was Zach Darrington and Darrington brings him down for a big loss. And another huge third down that this Ferris defense has caused. It's we're seeing CV is able to make these big chunk plays.

However, when it comes down to play by play, Ferris is doing a great job of making sure they're not continuing to make plays and pick up yards and pick up yards every single drive. It's great what I'm seeing from ferris. Loss of 6 on the play now 3rd and 16 for CV at the Ferris 42 deep drop a screen set up for Smith and it's a pretty good play. But one man was there and he's able to make the stop at about the 35 yard line. That was Jack Neal that was there and he was really the only guy there for Ferris and he was able to make the stop.

Gain of seven on the play. It'll be fourth and nine. I know CV sometimes is wondering like man, I wish, I wish Zach was here. I wish Zach was here. But the thing is is that because on a play like that it's a one on one.

You have to make a cut or a move in order to pick up more yards. Now you're giving your team a fourth down and nine when you could have potentially picked up more yards and got a first down on that. So here's the big fourth down and nine. Play ball on the left, hash at the Ferris 35. 338 to play.

Third quarter back to throw Gravel pressure on, runs out to his left, throws it downfield, wide open, caught at the five. Touchdown Dayton Hudson. Dayton behind the defense. That is a 35 yard passing touchdown. And that is Gravel's third passing touchdown of the game.

And Dayton, the leading receiver gets his 11th catch of the game. And he was wide open. Wide open. And that's exactly the way you end a drive, especially after you just went and joined the top 10 in the GSL. That's how you end the drive put some points on the board.

All right, our STCU touchdown drive recap a 79 yard drive by Central Valley, a 43 yard pass from Gravel to Dayton, Dayton sets up a 35 yard pass from Gravel to Dayton and it's a 21 nothing game in favor of Central Valley.

Here's a deep kickoff down to the two yard line. Farid Lewall, running to his right, gets hit short of the 15 yard line and is run out of bounds by Bo Butner at the 13 yard line is where the officials say he gets to. So not a great return there. And Ferris, as they have been for much of this ball game, starts deep in their own end based off the other kicks. I mean if I was fair sort of and asking like please just give us a touchback again, that's you barely pick up any yards now you guys are in a interesting spot to have to drive basically the duration of the field.

Let's see if they go back to this short passing game that they haven't gone back to since the first drive of the ball game. Would love to see that. That's, that's how they're going to be able to pick up the first downs they need and potentially put some points on the board. Malolo, the running back to the left of the quarterback. Olson the sophomore calling the signals.

He's got three receivers to the left, one to the right, and he does. There's a quick short throw caught by Sam Markham. Spins out of a tackle, but gives ground all the way back to the 10 yard line and is finally stopped. Let's see what they give him for forward progress here and it looks like they'll put him at the 10. So Markham had about a three or four yard gain and then was spun around, gave ground and ends up losing three.

That's one of those unfortunate things where keeping your feet moving, it doesn't always help you. I mean, you pick up a few yards but you're just getting spun around by the defenders. Don't really know where you are and still trying to make a play. That's tough. I mean, right now Ferris cannot just catch a break and that was a good time catch and good throw.

So second down 13 now Law splits to the right side. Two men wide to the left here for CV for Ferris. Olson will roll to the left, throw short to the left side on the sidelines. Incomplete. He was expecting the receiver Noah Porter to maybe run an out there and Porter ran a little deeper out.

It appears he just took his route a little bit too far. It's also a little bit different because the sticks are at the 10 instead of where they're supposed to be at because they lost yards on that first play. So he probably thought he was running his route correctly, but he was running it a little bit too deep. So now third and 13 at their own 10 for the Saxons. Lawal and Marcum split to the right side.

Two receivers, Porter and one other man wide to the left here. Olson out of the shot. Gunn takes the snap, fades back near the goal line, throws the ball out to the right side, has a catch. Markham up the right sidelines across the 20 and he'll be close to a first down. They'll put him out of bounds.

Where are they going to put him out? We can't really see where the official is. Marked it on the near sidelines as we look at it. Looks like it's going to be around the 23 yard line and they'll be good for a first down. It's a big time first down.

They haven't had one in a while. That can definitely get them going and rolling. They're running those routes that are allowing them to develop with time. It's a good time play. They ran like a switch route on that.

So a 13 yard gain. They needed 13. They got it from Sam Markham. And so first down and 10 now for the Saxons at their own 23. Two and a half minutes to play here in the third quarter.

On first down they try the run again and hit in the backfield and drop for a loss. Once again they may give him forward progress to the line of scrimmage is Malolo, but there just isn't anywhere to run. They're just defeating them at the line of scrimmage here and there. They've got more people in the backfield than. I mean, Malolo has no chance.

Yeah, they do. The minute they hiked the ball, Brandon Thomas was in the back to try and make a good play on that. He was the first one to contact Malolo in the backfield and allowed him to pick up no yards. I mean this is just the defense that CB's showing that this is their identity. They just keep on going and going and going and I'm liking when I see they're up 21, but they're still acting like they're.

It's 00 Ferris minus 30 rushing yards in this game including quarterback sacks. Two receivers to either side, second and 10, deep drop. Olson throws short, has a catch. Mark him at the 25, turns up field and is filled as he gets to about the 28 yard line. Brandon Thomas there to bring him down.

But a short gain about four or five yards in the play brings up third down and a little more managed, manageable. Exactly. That's a good I, I'm not mad about that at all. That's a good time catch. Good time throw or big time throw?

Big time catch. They're picking up yards, they're moving, they're showing that they're not just stuck. They're not stuck. It's not first down in 10 the whole time. Our first down and 12 because of losses, they're still gaining yards and moving downfield, which is what they need.

Third down and five after that five yard pickup, three receivers go to the right, one man wide to the left. Ball on the left hash snap back. Olson looks to the right, pursued now runs out to the left side. He's got a little opening over the 30. Got a big blindside block.

That's going to be a penalty on Ferris and that's an unfortunate play and he'll get up to about the 35 yard line, went out of bounds, but you can't do those peel back blindside blocks and that's what Noah Porter did to one of the CB defenders and that's going to be, that's going to wipe out a first down, run. And those are those underdog mistakes that we talked about earlier. I mean you look at that play, that was a great scramble. We haven't seen it all day. He's building his confidence with the run game.

All you need to do is just, you can do a blow by where you just turn your back to the, to the defender and run right past them. Is going to put a divide. But it's basically a moving screen. Put a divide between you and the ball carrier. And that allows plays to develop and big things to happen without those penalized things.

I mean it was a great how that hit about five years ago when I was legal. But now to keep the players safe, that's just not something that's gonna be okay. And so Instead of a first down at the 33, it's third and long back at their own 18 yard line. Now Olson takes a low snap, throws it out, left side jump ball situation. Pass knocked away, incomplete.

Looking for Noah Porter, I believe. Out. Well, no, he was looking for Sam Markham I think out there. Pass incomplete. It'll be up fourth down here.

Unfortunately it there for Ferris because they should add a first down. Yeah, they, they for sure had a first down there. And those are just those mistakes that definitely can hurt your team. We've seen them on both sides. Some of them have been called, some of them haven't.

But that one was just a tough one because it's going into the fourth quarter now and you're down three touchdowns. Snap back, Sam Markham kicks a high punt away. That's good. Kick all the way back to the 48 yard line of Central Valley and Hunter Dayton Hudson Dayton Rather called that one for a fair catch and Seavee will take over at their 48 after that punt. First down and 10 yards to go.

We've started to see a little bit of a. Of a penalty ran team from both of these teams. Right now they're, they're getting a lot of penalties and it's not looking the best, like a little sloppy. It's just CVs able to cover it up because they're putting some points on the board at the same time, same formation, four receivers and a bunch set to the left at the numbers, one man to the right. Here's a quick throw on a slant and that is incomplete.

And a great job defensively there. That pass was intended for Kaden Harkin and for Ferris it was Jonah Terry who timed that perfectly for his pass broken up there. That was a great pass, almost a great catch. Just a better defensive play and that's, that's wild. I mean that's, that's what they need.

Fairs needs crazy great plays like that every single time. Second and 15 handoff on a draw. Running off the left side, spinning out to the 45 is Smith, so he'll get a couple of yards in that play. Gang tackled by four or five white shirted Saxons. And so it's going to be third down and 13 here.

And this Ferris defense just keeps on rolling. I mean I really like what I see, the scores really not telling you what exactly we're seeing right now, but they're swarming to the ball, making big tackles, making big plays, one on one tackles, things that people normally don't do. Third and 13 at their own 45. And Beal, the left end starts early for Central Valley and another mistake for CV. So now it's going to be third and 18 rather than third and 13.

But they were able to convert a couple of long yardage plays on that last drive by throwing it up to Dayton. Let's see if they do it again. You can never count out CVs offense because right when you do, that's when they make a big time play downfield. They've been picking up a lot of chunky yards, so I wouldn't be surprised they're able to do that right here. Dayton has three 100 yard games on the season coming in, so this is his fourth.

I have him at 142 yards so far. So third down and long, they hand it off and Smith won't even get back to the line of scrimmage, I don't think. And Ferris stands him up and brings him down and that ends the third quarter of play. No gain officially on the play according to the officials. Low line drive kick that's going to hit it about the 23 bounce back inside the 10, back inside the 5 CB letting it roll and roll and roll and it is down at the 1. So now Ferris starts first down and 10. There is a flag on the field though it's at the line of scrimmage so let's see whether somebody was misaligned and maybe they have to re kick or whether it was an offside. Perhaps two of our officials chatting it over as the ball is spotted at the one the conversation continues. It wouldn't matter much having a penalty here on CB.

Consider their upper 21 in the fourth quarter. However, it'll just be unfortunate because that was a great punt right there. Dead ball, personal foul on both sides. That's going to wipe out and Ferris will end up getting it at the one yard line. So a little extracurricular activity there.

Dead ball, personal foul on each team. That was a great punt by Butner though. Down to the one. A great punt. We.

That's what I. That's insane. We've been seeing some great kicks today and it's something that you don't normally. So high school is not a low, low level, but you have players who are still developing. They're still trying to figure out what they can do.

Is this a good position for me? Is this not so? We don't always see really good kicks and today we've seen three touchbacks. One that was basically putting them in a position to where he got tackled around the 10 to 11. And then now a punt.

That's at the 1. How crazy is this? And for a Ferris team that has struggled to run the ball, this is a problem right now. First and ten at their own one. And now a flag comes in.

I think they're going to get called for a false start here, which means now instead of at the 1, it's going to be at the half. False start on the Saxons. So one thing you can't do if you're Farris. Farris offensive line has to really hold up here and Ferris just has to to complete a few passes. They cannot run it here.

They've been tfled almost every single time. So now first and a long 10 and they do throw it out quickly caught at the goal line, getting out over the five and close to the 10 yard line is the receiver. I think it's either Markham or Porter. It's Porter. And it goes up to the nine yard line for a gain of eight.

And there we go. He gives himself a little bit of cushion so things aren't so bottled up in that. You got that little bit of space. You're worried about the end zone. You don't want to take a safety to put them up 23 points.

Now you just want to get away from this goal line. Porter wide to the left side. Three men wide to the right. Now on second down and two with their own nine. See if they give it to Malolo or if they try to throw it again here.

Snap back to Olson and he's under pressure. Runs out to the right side. Now Throws into the middle of field. That balls caught. Breaking a tackle over the 25 yard line here.

Sam Markham and he goes out close to the 30. That'll be a Damon Orthodontics for first down. Put him down at the 29 yard line. That's a gain of 20 in a Ferris first down. Look at the way John Olson is able to read, read what's coming at him.

He steps in the pocket, he makes people miss and is able to deliver a great pass to put them in a cushion spot on the field to where they're not worried about that goal line anymore. That's how you move off the half yard line. Two receivers out to either side. Ball on the right hash. First down and 10.

Ferris at their own 29. Shotgun snap back, back goes Olson throwing the ball on the left side into double coverage. That ball is tipped and incomplet. I think one defender tipped it away from another. That time for CV is I think, was it Sam Khan that tipped it away from Kaden Harmon or vice versa?

Yeah, Sam Khan just, he tipped it and he starts celebrating. But he doesn't realize that he has Kaden Harmon right behind him to make that, that interception. They both were just right next to each other. There was no, there was no way none of them should have came away with that ball right there. But that's just sometimes what happens when you have two aggressive guys attacking the ball at the same time.

They don't even know, right. You're, you're taught to go after the ball, knock it down, intercept it, whatever you can do. And you might have a buddy behind you though that has a better chance and you just fouled it up for him without knowing. Second down and 10 snap back, they'll hand it off. Malolo picks his way into the middle, but the middle picks back and he might get a yard to the 30 or he might not.

And it'll be third down and long here. Brandon Thomas was in there among others in the center of that line. No gain on the play. So now third and 10 for Ferris. Ferris had some nice going with those with those short intermediate pass plays that were able to develop into big ones after the catch.

The receivers were doing great job of turning up and getting upfield, but then they come back and he throws that one in completion. Then they go back to the run game. We got to just stay to it and stick true because now it's third down to 10. So they have to go to pass here. It's the only consistent thing they've had two receivers to either side, shotgun snap back.

A lot of pressure on. And there's a throw in an interception down the left sidelines. Running down inside the 20 and taking a big hit by the quarterback. Olson is the defensive back. I think it might be Beard.

It was a fairly well played first half, but the second half it's been much more of a penalty fest. They've had a lot of penalties in this game, especially in the second half, and I just don't really see why they're having them because they're such a sound team. They look good, they play good together, they're running hard, complex plays are coming out in quad bunch and things that most high school teams don't do. And I just. These penalties are something that's very preventable.

They got to go back and fix this to where they can be way more soundproof next week. So first and 15 now from the 22, here goes Smith off the left side this time and he's going to dart inside the 20 and take it down close to where they started at the 17 of CV. So he's going to get close to five yards there on first down. Yeah, and they have guys who can pick up yards, pick up plays, make big plays, but when you make those big plays and those penalties take you back, you start to lose that momentum. They can just allow the momentum to drive them throughout the game.

I'm not saying they're not gonna have any penalties, but just fewer. They could put a lot more points on the board because this is a really good CV team. It's Bo Butner actually that's in their running back now and he gained five, four yards in that last place. So it's second down and 11 from the 18 now of Ferris Butner to the left or to the right of the quarterback. Gravel fakes the handoff.

Gravel rolls to the right side looking into the end zone. Throws back of the end zone man wide open. That is caught. It's a touchdown for Central Valley and it is Elliot Beal. Beal's second receiving touchdown of the ball game.

This one an 18 yard yarder and it makes it 27 to nothing in favor of CV. That was just a well done by Gravel to keep extend the play and somehow the receiver wide open. Bears has had a hard time all day covering receivers. When there is a rollout or a boot from the quarterback there's. There's always going to be guys flowing with them on the backside.

Instead of him just sitting in the pocket and taking the sack like he's been doing throughout the game you can start seeing him progress and start understanding the game a little bit more.

He's still young. He's a sophomore. Playing a great game today though. I mean he's not doing a bad job. He's put the ball in the receivers hand.

He did throw an interception. That was not his fault. I mean he should walk away and just learn from this game and know that he did a good job. To receivers to either side. A lot of pressure on Olsen.

He gets away somehow, throws the ball into the middle of the field, into a jump ball situation and pass incomplete. Could have been another interception for cv. I think it was Butner that could have picked that ball off but he just dropped it and it'll be fourth down and long. And you see there he's trying to. He's trying to extend the plays, he's forcing it.

Those are good things to see from a quarterback is that he's trying to force to extend plays. He's not just settling or trying to throw it away or anything. Even though that is not the best pass to take right there, he's still trying to give his team a chance, give his wide receiver a chance to come back for ball there. Well, I didn't think he'd be able to get. I mean he had no chance on that play.

He was surrounded right off. As soon as he got the ball he had people in his lap and he got away. Did a great job. Step two, three to foul there. So here's the punt.

Low line drive downfield and Dayton grabs it at his own 47 with a knee down. According to the officials he was running back, got over the 40 of Ferris. But the officials say he caught up with a knee down at the CB 47 yard line. So 725 remaining to play. Fourth quarter, 28, nothing.

CV and the Bears start at their own 47 and it looks like they'll have the starters back out on offense here. What a call that was for this fairs return team, our cover team because CV had a lot of green in front of them with not a lot of defenders after that line drive. And I mean refs don't call that down. They might be looking at another seven on the board. So here's Dylan Gravel.

He's got Butner with him in the backfield. They brought in a few new receivers. They don't have a lot of the starting receivers in the game right now. For CV on first down at their own 47, they will hand it off. Butner slants off the right guard and they will Plow out over Midfield to the 49 yard line.

Ferris for a gain of about four yards here. And I would think this is what we're going to see a lot of here right now. Dehante, they're going to be just trying to run the ball, run the clock out, take the wind, go home. That's kind of the smart thing to do here. I mean we seen him earlier going into the going in a halftime they were running it a little bit, then they started passing it and ended up giving the ball back to fares.

Smart thing to do here is just run it out even though they're going to go for a pass here probably or maybe a sweep. But still Butner in motion toward the formation. We'll get on the jet. Sweep running to the left side, crosses the 50, gets to the 45, has a Damon Orthodontics first down as he gets across the 43 yard line. Down to the 42.

So a little fly sweep there, Jack Sweep. Gain a seven for Bo Butner. A Damon orthodontics first down. Great run, Good pickup of the first down. You just want to see him stay in bounds here.

That's the whole reason why they're running the ball is to keep the clock going. You run out of bounds or you allow the defenders to take you out of bounds because you have so many guys on you. Clock stops. Bo Butner, the ball carrier, a sophomore 511 starter on defense, also the punter for his team and now the backup running back from the Ferris 42. Here's another handoff squirting through this time getting down to about the 35 yard line is another new running back into the game and that is Sam Khan who gets the carry and he will take it down.

We have an injured Saxon on the field and we'll take a break here as we have an injured Ferris player. The Ferris player is taking a knee. The athletic trainers are coming on. We'll take a break. Six and a half minutes, minutes to play.

Here's a handoff and kind of burrowing in there and Getting inside the 25 and getting tackled at the 23 is the running back. Let's see who this is. Bo Butner again on the carry down to the 23 yard line for a gain of five yards. It'll be second down and five with CV trying to run the clock out here. They're doing a really good job of picking up yards, especially with their backup running backs.

They have a lot of weapons on this on this team for sure. Gravel still in there is the starting quarterback, Butner to his right in the backfield. Gravel gets the shot, gets snapped, fakes the handoff, throws that quickly. Kymani Davis gets a little screen and takes off down the right sidelines into the end zone. Touchdown.

Got a nice block out there on the corner and that sprung him down the right sidelines. It is an 18 yard passing Ted or 23 yard passing touchdown and it's 34 nothing Saxons Kimoni Davis with a he got, he got a fantastic block. Big time block there that allowed that play to develop. It was not nothing. It was a behind the line of scrimmage pass that developed into a.

How many yards Was that for? 23, 23 yards for a touchdown. I mean that's why you put wide receivers out there that could block because you want those small plays to turn into something huge again. CV is short two men actually or no, just one man this time on the extra point try and they're gonna have to hustle to get this off to make it a 20 yard attempt, but they do. Here's the kick and Labross is able to boot it through and so it's now a 35 to nothing game in favor of Central valley.

Coming in I was bragging about when earlier in the pregame about how he had 16 touchdowns already on the year and he was going to be a huge, huge key to their, to them winning tonight especially being that it's a senior driven team and he came out here and threw five touchdowns which is absolutely insane. It's probably the most touchdowns I've seen any quarterback throw since I've been doing this. And he put on a performance, he looked very comfortable, stellar. I have nothing bad to say about him.

He was all around a good quarterback today and taking that about a yard or two deep in the end zone but they don't blow it dead. Now by rule that's a touchback but the officials were surprised I think by it and so that's going to end up being a return to the 18 yard line and so Ferris is going to end up losing two yards on that. But by rule when you Have a foot or both feet in the end zone. That's a touchback and the official just missed it. The officials are just allowing this clock to just run out at this point.

I mean it's 35 0. That is a rule. But sometimes the refs just don't see penalties. Yeah, we've seen it a few times tonight in this game so fars takes over at their own 18 yard line here. First down and 10.

We will see dead ball and sportsmanlike conduct. Ferris and dead ball. Nope, not a dead ball again. I thought he was going to go the other way as well, but just on Ferris. So that'll be a half the distance to the goal penalty.

They go back to the four and now they're back in that same spot that they were in earlier. However they they managed to get out of it. Their heels are on the goal line here. John has to be very smart with the ball. If you Throw intentional grounding, 2 points.

If you get sacked there, 2 points. Anything could hurt them right now at this point they just got to get out the end zone and CV will help them out a little bit by being in the neutral zone there. So there's or will we get a fall start. A CV player jumped into the neutral zone but he may have been drawn off by Ferris and that's exactly what it was. False start.

So now they're down back at their two yard line here. Second down and 26. I'd say at this point all they want to do is hike the ball right, get the quarterback. Snap completed penalty at the penalty. So second down and long and they'll throw quickly out there and it's caught out over the goal line to the 5, breaking outside, running to the left, getting over the 10 to the 15 and getting knocked out of bounds.

There is Noah Porter and the officials say he went out at the 12, not at 50 or no at the 17. So he gains ends. You have gaining 15 yards there if they. I wonder how different this game would be if they allowed this pass, this really, really good pass game that they have to be their identity throughout this game. They've tried to run a little bit too many times and they didn't get anything out of it.

But when they do pass, they're able to make plays like what they just did right there. And short. Yeah, short intermediate pass, short crisp passes. That's been their, their big thing here today. Here's a roll out and a throw to the right sidelines and a catch out of the 25 to the 30.

And taking a big hit is Le Wall. But he hangs on to the ball and has it up to the 32 and that's a first down. They have new quarterback into the ball game here for Ferris and that is. Well, it says it's Jarrett Pearman, but he's, it's his jersey but he's listed as a running back. So my guess is they've slipped somebody else in there at quarterback.

What an aggressive tackle there by Brandon Thomas. He's clubbed up. He's. He's out there just playing aggressive and just crazy. He's been playing since the first snap.

He hasn't. You got an interception earlier, a fumble. Yeah, yeah, he got the. He definitely has a turnover on the day. He's having himself a day for sure.

And here the quarterback goes back and now he is sacked. No, that is Olson. I thought it was 11 there initially, but it's still Olson in there. And he is sacked for the fourth time today, this one for a loss of about three yards. So second and 13.

Clock running down to 308 remaining to play in this one 35 nothing is the score in favor of the Central Valley Bears. Third down and or second down and 13 at their own 29. Olson the quarterback. Two receivers go to either side and the left end starts early. Noah Porter for Ferris.

And so that'll be a five yard false start and it'll be second and 18 now. And Olson the quarterback just kind of flapped his arms there and shrugged his shoulders to, you know, what are you doing? Yeah, at this point it's kind of getting a little bit repetitive. I mean it's. On this one drive they've had three to four penalties which is just halting their.

Them being able to move downfield at all. I can only imagine how he's feeling. He's trying to ball out, but it's hard when there's penalties pushing them further and further back. Every time they get a good Gain back to throw as Olson throws quickly on a little slant. That's incomplete.

In and out of the hands of Noah Porter. Here's why, if you're a fair stand, you can be encouraged. Noah Porter is a sophomore. John Olson the quarterback, is a sophomore. They've got a lot of guys on this team that will be coming back next year.

They just have to find their identity offensively and stick with it. They do. And I would just love to see John Olson just get rid of the pre snap reads already. He already knows who he wants to pass to right before he hikes the ball. He's throwing it before the receiver is even there in the spot.

He just has to give his receiver a chance to get ready, like to develop to get their breaks and flip their heads around. The balls coming way too fast. It's leading them too much, it's too low. Just those things will definitely help him out. On third and 18, Olsen to throw, fires it out to the right side.

Incomplete behind his intended receiver that time. Fareed Law the intended receiver. And so now it'll be fourth down and that's a pass that should be completed there. I mean he's wide open, no one's near him for at least five yards. And if you just allow yourself to, to go through your reads and actually deliver a really good pass.

He's done it throughout the game. I know he can do it. And then those are just things that he's going to work on their offseason and come back stellar. Just a sophomore. So there's plenty of room for improvement and plenty of time for it as well.

So here's the punt. Markham boots it away, line drive downfield. Pretty good kick back this 39. Here's the return. Running to his right is Kaden Harkin and he takes it down the right sidelines over the 40 yard line and is out of bounds.

Caden Harkin runs it back all the way to. Where will the officials put the ball. Looks like the 27 yard line. And so that's where CV has it at the Ferris 27. Yet another drive here where Central Valley starts in Ferris territory.

Big time return. That's the return that they've been looking for all day. They've been getting those line drives that were out kicking the return unit. However they weren't able to get actual the covering unit but they weren't able to pick up any yards every time. There was one person who's great at making those one on ones that time he made the man miss, got a good block and picked Up a lot of yards.

Camden Landfear in at quarterback now and he takes the snap, hands it off. Danner Smith back in there running the stretch play to the left side and he's going to be stopped for a loss. And off to number 33, Danner Smith. So Danner Smith tackled back of the 31. Great job by the Ferris defense and they get in for a four yard loss there on first down.

With Danner Smith being the second string running back. I want to see him put his foot in the ground and get vertical. He's running horizontal the whole time allowing fares to catch up. This is what has been going on throughout, throughout this game. Put get vertical and just run straight.

Even if you don't get one yard it shows that you're still trying to pick up yards. Said we're just losing three. They've got still 17 seconds before they have to run a play.

A minute three on the game clock. See if they just sit here and let this clock count down some. Down to seven on the play clock. They snap it at five handed off Smith running the stretch play to the left side hit, struggles forward, no gain. Maybe a yard to the 30.

We'll see where the officials put him. And there's only about a 2 second differential between the play clock and the game clock and so they will have to take another snap but they don't have to punt it here. You can let the clock go down to about three and then take, take the snap and run around a little bit or throw the ball up in the air or do whatever you want to do. Yeah, they don't really have to take too big of a of a play. They don't really have to call a real play at all.

They can come out in victory formation, wait till it gets down to three, hike it, take a few steps back and then take a knee and then that should go ahead and do it.
