high school it's our first time doing a basketball game here from ridgeline and we've got girls action here this evening as the ridgeline falcons take on the cheney blackhawks here this evening this portion of our pregame show is being presented by lamar advertising for ridgeline they come in three and two in the greater spokane league eight and seven overall on the season they have won three out of their last four games it's a young basketball team no seniors on this team they have half a dozen juniors three freshmen three sophomores on their roster so this is a very young basketball team that is getting better as the year goes on and so they handed ferris

their first league loss on friday in their last ballgame and they won that game fairly handily fifty nine thirty four in that victory so ridgeline with some momentum comes into this ballgame tonight against the cheney team that doesn't have a lot of momentum cheney zero five in the gsl three and twelve overall on the year they've lost their last six games and eight out of their last nine their only win in that stretch came on december twenty second against federal way their other wins came against north central and shadow park this season for cheney this also is a pretty young basketball team they have just two seniors but one of them is their best player

macy richards they have a bunch of juniors and a bunch of sophomores on this team and the numbers are good at cheney when you look at the amount of girls that have turned out this year they have a varsity squad a jv squad a c team and a freshman team i don't know whether the freshmen are above the c's or the c's are above the freshmen whatever it is but they've got a lot of girls that have turned out for basketball so they've got numbers at cheney they just have to get some time and get some get some coaching in and we'll see what they can do in the future but they would like to

end the season strong and they've had a heavy front loaded schedule as far as the gsl goes they have played gonzaga prep they have played central valley they have played mead those are probably the three best teams they've also played ferris and lewis and clark but tonight they get ridgeline they still have mount spokane u high and north central games did you have to think that they'd be in there with a chance to win they've already beaten north central this season so they're hoping to end their season strongly here this evening this portion of our pregame show is being presented by lodestone wealth management and so ridgeline at three and two they're hoping to get

tall team they start six feet six feet five hundred and eleven and five hundred and ten so for for cheney you're going to have to battle these girls on the boards they're going to be very difficult to defend i'm sure and cheney's not a small team but they're going to be outsized here a little bit this evening by this by this ridgeline team so be able to handle that that size and just you know try to get off there isn't a team that says well we're going to start we're going to start slow tonight and we'll be in good shape but when you're the underdog team you've you've got to get some confidence going and

cheney has been victimized at times this year by just a bad quarter where they're rolling along okay and then maybe the third quarter maybe the second quarter or maybe it's the fourth quarter doesn't quite go according to hoyle and they end up losing a basketball game so they need and that was the case against lewis and clark they had a lead at halftime in the ball game against lc and then got outscored this is their last game on friday got outscored in the third quarter twenty to four and all of a sudden the halftime lead goes to a double digit deficit and they end up losing by thirteen forty six to thirty three in that
