So anyway, it's been a long time, I agree and I think it's going to be interesting. We talked to J. T. johnson and Chad, the two head coach, the two coaches for shadow park and you know, basically they've been around a long time you know, Coach Johnson basically was a student at shadow. He's been through this.

I don't know if they have the rivalry game back in his day because he's been coaching almost 30 years. But you know, it's really a fun thing for the students, the community, the teachers. Everybody kind of gets fired up. And if you come to just watch basketball, you're going to be entertained because there's so much other stuff that's going on kind of outside that that really make this, this game a celebration. It is a wall of noise.

Once the tip off begins, there's not cheering necessarily for any basket or any good play that's happening. They're just constant cheering here in the arena. So it'll be interesting to see both these teams have struggled some this year. North Central 1 and 11 so far this season. Shadow park is 1 and 8.

But it should be a very even matchup here in this girls game. Yeah, I agree. And it's going to come down to, you know, who basically imposes their will, who's able to hit some shots, play good defense, not turn the ball over and you know, who's going to have that breakthrough game.

And that's what you're going to be able to see tonight. North Carolina is the home team. They'll be wearing white for both the boys and the girls games here this evening. And Shadow park will be in their dark colored uniforms here. They are green in this particular situation for the girls, but I believe the boys will be in black here this evening at the arena.

This portion of our pregame show is being presented by Eastern Washington University. Here's what happened in the GSL last night as we go to the schedule. On the girls side of things, North Central played last night and they lost.

They played a very competitive game but they lost at Ridgeline 52 to 45. Meade defeated Lewis and Clark eight at a 54 and it was Ferris over Mt. Spokane 74 67. In boys play last night, North Central defeated Ridgeline 69 57, Lewis and Clark over Mead 47 to 35 and Mt. Spokane routed Ferris by the score of 74 to 50.

So NC having to come back after playing last night they play again tonight. Schadl has to do that tomorrow because on the two way schedule tonight West Valley will play at Clarkston, Pullman is at East Valley, then tomorrow Shadow park will play at Rogers. So they'll have to play on back to back nights as well. Tonight on the 3A 4A side prep is at Cheney and Central Valley is at U High. Tomorrow LC and Ferris here at the arena.

You know but that's a really good taste of what it's like at State. You Know, I mean, you have to go. If you. If you do well, you know, say you have a playing game, you got to go four days in a row. So it really kind of gets you a little bit of a taste of what it's like in postseason.

So I think it's a good thing. Yeah, young people, they are. They can run, they're young, they go, they can play back to back nights. It's where it gets the challenges. They have like four in a row or that's whatever it might be three in a row, even.

So back to back should not be a big thing for these young ladies or these young men here this evening. All right, so North Central, 1 and 11 on the season. They lost their first seven games, then they beat Othello, and they have since lost their last four. Offense has been a problem for this team. They've scored over 40 points only one time this season, and that was against Othello in their win.

They've been under 30 on six games out of the 12 that they played this season. Actually been over 40 twice because they were over 40 last night in their ballgame against Ridgeline. So they've been over 40 twice now, but they've been under 36 times for Shadl. They lost their first eight games, but they won their last game. They defeated Riverside by the score of 51 to 39.

They've scored a little bit better than North Central has this year, but defense has been a little bit more of a problem for them. So we'll see how both these teams can play here this evening. Should be, as I said earlier, a pretty even match up here this evening, even though we've got a 3A in North Central versus a 2A in Shadow Park. Well, and you know, SHADL has had some problems over the last couple years. They're trying to rebuild the program.

And again, they only have one senior. I mean, it's really a young team overall from that standpoint. And they have a couple, you know, a couple all league players on there that can bring some good effort. And this is a program and transfer transition. And these coaches are trying to build it back up where they can compete for the GSL night in and night out.

Larry is an absolute meat grinder. Yeah, it's kind of a 180 turn on these teams, too, because Shadow Park, a very young team. They have just one senior. They have five freshmen and three sophomores on their varsity. North Central has quite a bit more seniors.

They have a half a dozen seniors on this team. They have three juniors and three sophomores on their varsity, so a more experienced team in North Central, a very young team against Shadow Park. They have a video game type thing Going tonight. Pac Man, Mario Brothers, that kind of thing. So that's their kind of our vintage here this evening. I didn't play any of those games. So.

You just played in the mud with a stick, didn't you? We didn't have a stick, so. And then Shadow Park's theme here this evening is a Shrek theme. So we've got a Shrek theme against a video game, early video game, Pac man type thing here tonight. So should be fun.

Let's give you the keys to the game here this evening presented by Divine Corporation, Fast Marts. Well, let's talk Shadow park, you know, coached by Coach Johnson and Chad Zelum. You know, really a team, as Larry mentioned, only one seniors and a bunch of freshmen and sophomores on this team. So it's really kind of a work in progress. But they have players that can compete.

They like to get up and down the court, they like to, you know, score. They need to do a better job of playing team defense and rotating, you know, make sure that they rebound well, not giving North Central second chances. And they kind of do an inside outside game where if they can hit the open shots, you know, from the three, that really opens everything up inside. If they're having a tough night, hitting the three, everybody packs in makes it even more difficult to hit that inside shot. So trying to get some easy shots, play good defense and compete on that front.

On the other side for North Central they just have to figure out a way to put the ball in the basket. They need to score and they have to score over 40 points. As you mentioned, there are only two wins, were both 40 point victories and they've had a trouble, you know, problem scoring. And Shadow's going to try to, you know, defense them. And this is a team North Central that have six seniors, so it's a senior dominated team and you're going to need to see that leadership take shape here tonight in this game.

Both these teams have just one double figure scorer this year. For Shadow park it is Mackenzie Fager who is averaging better than 15 points per ballgame. For North Central it's Chalene Irvin who is averaging better than 11 points per ball game. This portion of our pregame show is presented by State Bank Northwest. So these two teams both itching for a victory, but where both sides are itching for the victory here this evening.

Even probably more important than the games on the floor is what goes on in the stands here this evening with the synchronized cheers they have, with the halftime performances they have, etc. All the music all the choreography, all the costumes, you know, they'll fill up the lower bowl here. They are coached by J. T. johnson. He's assisted by Chad Gazellem, Jennifer Smith and Cameron Skaith. And so now the national anthem is something you can barely hear.

And now the wall of noise will start. It'll make us. It'll make it hard, hard to hear us, I guess, which is probably a blessing for Shadow Park. Their starting lineup looks like this. They will be led by sophomore guard Mackenzie feger.

She is 56 and as I say, a sophomore averaging 15 and a half points per ballgame this season. She will be joined on the wings. Actually she'll be joined at guard by Tamara Thompson. She is 58 and a sophomore. Thompson averaging 8.

4 points. She is their second leading scorer. Then going on the at the wing will be Addison yawn. She is 5 6, a junior averaging better than six points a game. And then inside they'll have Julia Lisea, she is 59 and a senior.

Lisea averaging almost five points per ballgame. And J. C. plaster, who is 57 and a junior. Plaster is averaging about three points per ballgame, so.

So not a tall team at all. Shadow park starting Baker at 5 6, Yawn at 5 6, Plaster at 5 7, Thompson at 58 and then Lysaya at 59 for the north Central Wolf Pack, coached by Joseph Krause. They will have this starting lineup here this evening. Charlene Irvin will go at guard. She's their leading scorer, better than 11 points a game.

Urban 53 and a senior. She'll be joined at guard by Talina Big Smoke. She is five three and a senior. They will also have Mikayla Mai going as a forward. She is 57 and a senior.

They have Montana elder 56 and a senior starting. And the final start will be Marlee Schoeffler. She is 57 and a senior. So the tallest player for MC is 5 7, shortest 5 3. So neither of these teams have a whole lot of height.

Well, they do have a six footer, but she doesn't, you know, get in much six one gal, you know, but they don't, which is interesting. They're the taller players on the team, but they don't play a lot. Well, the 6:1 player, Lariah Hayes is injured. That's one of the reason why she's not playing. She has not played all year.

But she was an impressive player for them last year and a player they probably miss for this season. Not having her in the tip off because she, she was 6:1 and exceptionally athletic and she could Score. And she also did a nice job on defending, making a card tough in the middle for teams because what she was able to accomplish. So the starting lineup's being introduced to the crowd here, North Central being their home. White jerseys, North Central in script written above the numbers in front in red, trimmed in black with the red numerals.

Shadow park will actually be in black uniforms that are bordered in green. And that's what I saw. I could just see the bottom of their warm up or their jerseys with their warmups on or uniforms, I should say, with their warm up shirts on. And it's just the lower, probably 3 or 4 inches on the uniform that's green. Everything else is black.

Actually a pretty sharp looking unis. I kind of like them. Shadow park in print, in yellow on the black jerseys with the numerals in yellow as well. The pants, there's no. There's a little bit of green on the jerseys around the trim, but the pants are where the majority of the green is.

It's kind of a two tone pant almost with black and then green around the outside. And so the starting lineups are just about over and done with. Who are our officials and what do you have to say about that? Well, John loves our referee. Dallas Savain is one of the officials.

Everybody around the center circle. Schadl will move from left to right here in the first half of play. Here's the tip. In the air, it's controlled by North Central. And the Wolfpack have the basketball.

Ma' I with it, underhands it to Irvin, back out to Ma' I way out there on the right to Irvin on the right wing. Man to man defense here. She'll bounce, pass it out to Big Smoke way out there now on the left Side the pass goes to Schoffler. Round on the left wing to Mai. She'll skip it.

Cross court to big smoke on the right. 10 seconds to shoot back. Over on the left side. My eye wants to start a drive in. Dribbles across the top to the right.

Can't get anywhere. Dumps it inside. Pass knocked away and stolen. Here comes Fager out of there with the basketball for Schadl. Ahead now to yawn.

And she travels. And Shadow park turns it over on their first offensive possession in this one. So we played 35 seconds and we have scoreless action here so far as Irvin will bring the ball up into the four court. Irvin Avis Green drives to the right, gets cut off. Now turns back to her left into the lane.

Nice bounce pass underneath for a layup. That's good. Inside by Montana Elder. And it's two nothing in favor of North Central. Full court pressure put on by the wolf pack.

Fager with it in the back court. She'll bring it across the timeline. Start a drive on the right now stop. Feeded away on the left. A yawn beyond the three point arc into the post.

La Sea dribbled the ball off her foot out of bounds. Schadl turns it over for the second consecutive possession and North Central will get the basketball. We played a minute nine seconds here in the first quarter. 2 Nothing in favor of North Central. And here comes Chalene Ervin.

She will walk the ball up into the front court. Bounce pass now out between the circles. And now they hand it back to Irvin. She'll drive in. Bounce pass underneath for a shot that is blocked.

And the ball is grabbed away by Schadl Park. Fager with it in the back court. She is fouled by Irvin. So a good block of the shot there. And then Irvin gets called for the foul.

That's her first and the first team foul on the wolf pack. Well, very nice. Very nice job on that block and excellent effort. But again Shadow's just got to figure out a way to put the ball up and see if they don't turn it over, make some plays. Yawn into the fourth court.

Gets it. Tamara Thompson. She'll drive. Shoot a layup. Missed it.

Rolled off the iron. Thompson or the rather rebound grab by La Sallea. Out to Thompson. She'll drive the baseline, lean into a five footer that's off the back rim. No good.

And my eye grabs the rebound for North Central. Here comes Mikayla Mai into the forecourt now on the right wing to Big Smoke. She'll dump it inside. Ball batted away, but it's grabbed still down there in the post by Elder. Out it comes to Ma'.

I. Her shot is no good. And the rebound controlled by Thompson for Shadow Park. She'll give it now to Yawn, who will hand it off to Fager. And they'll bring it into the fourth court.

555 to play here. First quarter, two nothing. North Central still feger to yawn outside the three point arc right of the free throw circle now on the right wing. Pass goes to JC Plaster out on top, now to La Sallea. Down into the right corner.

She'll feed Yawn. Fakes left, goes right to the baseline. Bounce pass in the left corner. Three ball. Plaster is an air ball.

Rebound. Lasea had it, lost it and it's taken out by North Central Montana. Elder, I believe, is who. No, it's Schoepler who grabbed that. Ahead to Ma' I into the fourth court.

Out it comes now to Irvin and she'll set the offense. Irvin gets a high screen, launches a long three. Missed it off the iron. The rebound taken by Fager for North for Shadow Park. Here comes Mackenzie Fager calling the play with a closed fist in the forecourt.

Tried to pass it inside the Plaster. Cutting to the rim. And it's stolen away by Ervin. Irvin on the run into the forecourt to the foul line for a jump shot. That is good.

Chalene Irvin gets her first basket of the game. And it's four nothing now in favor of North Central. Again the full court diamond press. 1, 2, 1 1. Fager in the backcourt, Gets it in a forecourt.

And the rebound collected for North Central by Schoffler. Schoffler gives it to Ma'. I and Ma' I will bring it into the fourth court. Ma' I off a screen from Schoffler. Drives down the left of the lane to the rim.

All right, welcome back. We're at the intermission here and Shadow park has a 20 to 18 lead. We're going to get a halftime performance from Shadow park here and there. Cheerleading squad, they're having a hard time here with their mats, trying to figure out exactly where they want them, but they've got it figured out now. So they'll tape everything down and they will have the halftime performance here.

But in this game, and then I'm not sure whether it'll be between games or at halftime of the boys game, but one or the other North Central will have an opportunity for a performance and they usually extend these halftimes a little bit for these things. And usually like tomorrow night between LC and Ferris, it seems to be kind of the big performance takes place in between games where they alternate and they still do stuff at halftime. So it's pretty cool. I mean, it's amazing all the work that, you know, these folks put in to bring you this entertainment. So pom poms being dropped on the floor.

You got tumbling max ready to go. They have boxes in terms of stuff lined up they can jump off of and should be kind of fun. And unfortunately people will not be able to see it on the radio. But this game is being televised on swc. If you want to watch the.

Well, tune in to FWX every Friday night or rivalry nights, which is tonight at 10:30 for high school Sports Focus, a half hour dedicated to the most comprehensive coverage of GSL and high school sports around the region. High school sports focused Friday nights at 10:30 will be replayed Saturday mornings at 9:30 only on SWX. And this portion of our halftime is presented by SWX. Let's recap this first half of play as we had one tie and I believe five lead changes in this one.

North Central scored the first seven points of the game. They took a seven to nothing lead. Shadow park did not score until there was 241 remaining to play in the first quarter. And they got a hoop and that started a seven nothing shadow run as they tied the game at seven. North Central got a three pointer from Talina.

Big smoke that puts them back on top 10 to seven and they let it at the end of the first quarter at 12 to nine. But baskets in the second quarter were really hard to come by. NC didn't score for a long time. Neither did Schadl. Schadl finally got a hoop and then took their first lead the game on the Maya Burnett basket at 13 to 12.

NC took the lead right back. They took a three point edge at 16 to 13. They still led at 16:15 when Shadle came back for a 17:16 lead and Seat retook the lead at 18:17 and finally the Burnett three just before the buzzer made it 20 to 18. Shadow park here at the intermission. So that is.

Let's see here. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 lead changes. One tie here in the first half of play. Yeah, things kind of heated up. We were talking about both teams having a difficult time scoring as soon as we said that they started scoring.

So it's nice to see that they listened to us. I don't think they did, but they came back and really started to compete. Put them all in the basket. North Central outscored Shadow Park 12 to 9 in the first quarter of play and Shadow park outscored North Central 11 to 6 in the second quarter of play to take this lead at halftime. Here's what's going on in the Greater Spokane League here this evening and what happened last night. Let's start with what happened last night is because there are rivalry games this week, they are getting a jump on the schedule and they played some games last night in the gsl. They try to play two league games every week. And because North Central Shadow park is not a league game, it's two way Shadow versus three Ancient. Both those teams are going to have to play three games this week and they have to double up one night in their games.

So last night North Central played lost a close game at Ridgeline 52 to 45 in girls play. Also last night me beat Lewis and Clark 82, 54 and it was Ferris a 7467 win over Mount Spokane. On the boys side of things, North Central 69, Ridgeline 50 57. So the NC boys continue their winning ways. Lewis and Clark has been playing well in GSL play so far.

They beat Mead 47 to 35. We'll see them tomorrow night. That's right, against Ferris and that'll be an interesting battle because LC plays a 23 zone and they pretty much sit in that zone. Ferris is a 3 point shooting team so can Ferris shoot LC out of the zone? Will LC do something different in their zone to maybe defend the three point shooters?

We'll have to see in that boys game tomorrow night. Mount Spokane beat Ferris 74 to 50 tonight in the GSL. On the 3A 4A side of things, Gonzaga Flat plays at Cheney and Central Valley is at U High tonight. That is not a rivalry game. That rivalry game is set for February and at this point in time it's scheduled for Eastern Washington University.

Yeah, so? Well, they'll play it on Reese Court. So we'll see how that works. Then tonight on the two way side of things, West Valley will play at Clarkston and Pullman plays at East Valley. Then tomorrow, remember I mentioned that North Carolina playing consecutive nights?

Well, Shadow will have to play consecutive nights as they'll play tomorrow in a boys and girls doubleheader at Rogers. Better hit the ice tonight. Get those knees back in shape. So you got to turn around, take care of your body. Basketball is not the only sport that's going on right now.

Wrestling is happening tomorrow. Cheney is at North Central. Also Gonzaga Prep travels to U High, Ridgeline is at home to Mt. Spokane, Central Valley visits Ferris and Mt. Spokane will host Gonzaga Prep two way wrestling one meet tonight.

Clarkston is at Rodgers because Rogers is hosting basketball tomorrow so they can't do both in the same night. And then tomorrow is the two way wrestling. The other two matches as Shadow park plays where wrestles at West Valley and East Valley will be at home against Pullman. So that's a look at what's going on around the gsl. We'll take a time out, we're back with some stats and we'll do that after this break at the intermission.

And so, and I think Austin, it was the Austin Powers guys was Shrek, you know, and he had a Scottish accent, so it's kind of fun. So it's this green, big ogre person that's married and then has a bunch of minions that kind of work around him.

Well, they got a big green ogre person out there in the middle of the floor. Yeah, he's definitely a large individual. Tall and. Yeah. Wow.

Okay, so that's the extent of my. My Shrek knowledge there. And I guess it was a good movie if you're a kid. The gingerbread man, Steve Pryor says is also part of Shrek, and they do have a gingerbread man out there. So.

So, see, I guess they're following through to the, to the deal here. Other than two old toads like us, I can't figure out what the heck they're doing now. They also bring out the staff here. This is part of the halftime dance where the staff is part of it. So this is a big thing.

And I mean, this takes some time, folks, what they're doing out there right now. So some are doing it better than others, but they're. But they're still out there having fun. And then this is all graded as part of the spirit competition here. So you don't know who the judges are.

They've got the judges kind of all around the facility at different spots, and they're kind of. They're secretive. They don't know who the judges are. Only the judges know. And then they come together and it's actually really cool.

I can't imagine how much time they must have to spend to choreograph all this stuff and put it together so it actually works. All right, let's get to our scoring here. In the first half for Shadow Park, Maya Burnett had five, Tamira Thompson had five, Mackenzie Fager scored four. And then two point seats for JC Plaster, Addison Yawn and Shay Crotzer for North Central. Sixth for Montana Elder.

Three point seats for Marcy Schoffler and Tehlana. Big Smoke. And then two points each for Michaela Mai Featherald and Chalene Urban in the first half of play. And time now for some other stats here this evening presented by the Swinging Doors. Well, North Central did a nice job.

They had 19 rebounds led by Schoffler, she had five. Urban had a really nice game. Besides scoring, she had four rebounds, three steals and two assists. Five steals for NC, three assists overall. And as I mentioned, nine turnovers.

On the other side, nine turnovers for Schadl. They had 17 rebounds. Their leading rebounders were both Lucia and also Jan with oh. Yawn had the. She had five and Lucia had four.

So six steals. Two steals each for Burnett and also Fager and an assist for Fager and also Burnett and a block by Plaster. So pretty even stats 17 rebounds for Schadl, 19 for Norman North Central 9 turnovers each 6 steals for Shadow, 5 steals for North Central 3 assists on both side. Great job. What do you have to say? Very little. Basically. Couldn't it kind of have to be, you know, actually turned out to be a better game. I think it looked like NC was going to pull away, then Shadow kind of creep back in this thing and look pretty good.

And kind of the last three minutes of that second half, that second quarter, I'd like to see that continue because you had teams who were able to put the ball in the basket, were able to transition a little bit, quit turning the ball over and were actually making plays. It was, it was really cool to see. They actually keep adding time to the clock. Clock here at halftime. So should only be three minutes.

Yeah, we had it kind of figured out here a little bit. And then they put another minute on. They're getting all the dingle balls and everything off the court. So both gentlemen's out there. The AD for Shadow park running up and down there and trying to.

Trying to clean that up. That's the problem. When you have everybody kind of doing their thing on the court, you're going to have some residual stuff and that's what they're trying to. Trying to get taken care of. All right, so after this game, we'll have the boys game coming up is Shadow park plays North Central.

And so we'll have that game coming up for you. And then tomorrow, more rivalry action as it'll be. Chuck the Rubber Chicken up for grabs as far as takes on Lewis and Clark. Girls at 5:30. Boys set for 7:30.

And that's the in between games, I think, is where they really do all their, all their stuff. And It's. It's about 40, 35 minutes or so of pretty impressive choreography. I mean, it's loud. They do that.

I've always enjoyed watching the LC dance team when they come out and do that kind of that their drill team is just unbelievable. They've won national awards, they won championships, you know, and everybody puts so much work in. Cody, my son, when he was doing the stuff up at Ferris, said that doing the rubber chicken game, he was sore doing that. Three hours of launching people up in the air and everything. He said he had to go home and ice so beat up and sore because they were, you know, tossing people for three hours.

I mean, give me a tennis ball, I could do that, but I'd have A tough time with a human being. All right, so the lead Shadow Park 20 to 18 here at the intermission. I believe the ball will go to Shadow park to start the third quarter as well. We'll see no wardrobe changes on the NC side. They're still in black T shirts, but I think we'll have something here before too long.

And Shadow, also no wardrobe changes. They're in the yellow shirts. But each team or each school has different shirts underneath. So North Carolina, a lot of people have red shirts underneath. They're black, you can see.

And a lot of SHADL has green underneath their yellow. So what you're saying is there's going to be a little bit of a wardrobe change in half tire between games. I think that's fair. And they'll go from black to red or from from yellow to green. Makes sense.

So all common fouls will be two shot fouls for North Central. North Central will basically shoot two shots on every foul except offensive fouls and three point tries where they get three shots.

Well, the other thing, as you mentioned, Larry, North Central has had issues making their free throws. So if Shadow can get to the line, get those five fouls, they've done a better job hitting their free throws. The North Central have and this game could come down to that. So Auld is four out of six from the foul line. Everybody else for North Central is one out of eight.

It's Irvin out there with her four fouls. My eye. Also Irvin Elder, Big smoke and ALD Boys final. Gonzaga Prep has defeated Cheney in a big game. Prep 71, Cheney 59.

Here's a pass deflected and stolen by Thompson. Great defense. And Schadl gets the ball off the turnover. Thompson into the front court to the top of the key. Now down the right of the lane.

Lost the ball. It'll go out of bounds, off her knee. It'll be North Central basketball. Another turnover on the Highlanders. They have 16 now in this ball game.

And into the game is Schoeffler for North Central. Who's she going to come in for? It'll be Mai who will leave the game. Ma' I not pleased to be pulled out. Yeah, she wanted to play.

Here's Schoffler. Into the fourth quarter now to Big Smoke on the right wing. Out now to Irvin Schadl defending. Inside of two minutes remaining to play. Two players chase Irvin.

She'll drive left side. Fancy dribbling now. Takes it to the corner. Nice bounce pass. Elder in the lane.

Five footer off glass. Rolls off the iron. No good. Rebound out of bounds off of Shadow Park. It'll be North Central basketball 143 now here in the fourth quarter.

North Central 35, Shadow Park 34. A fresh 30 seconds for North Central. ALD will inbound from the left baseball line. Gets it in for Irvin, who trips, falls down, ball rolling loose. It's a foot race run by Thompson.

Thompson in the fourth court, down the right side. Then she is called for a double dribble. So both teams turn it over. And North Central in the end gets the ball back with a minute 40 remaining to play. And I swear it's getting louder in here with the game getting right down to the wire.

But again, they're not cheering for particular plays. There is cheering. Here's Ervin driving, dumps it inside. Schoffler turns to the hoop, pivots around, shoots and scores off the glass. Big shot.

Schoffler inside. She has five points, 37, 34 in favor of North Central in front court. Fager with it, feeds high post. La Sallea over to Thompson on the right beyond the arc. Dumps it to Burnett, curling through the lane.

And she is held and fouled. This will not send her to the foul line. This is a common foul. It'll only be the third foul of the quarter on the Wolf Pack. Foul called, I believe on Big Smoke, which would be her third.

I take that back. Not sure who that foul was called on. Here's the inbound pass. Comes right into Lasea. But she missed the layup shot.

Well, now, do you foul or do you play defense? They're down three. Shadow Park Irvin double team passes. A dangerous pass, but it goes to Mai. And a timeout taken by North Central.

Once they get into the first, they'll take a full timeout. With 37. 2 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter. There's 18 seconds on the shot clock and North Central has a 37, 34 lead here. And the ball.

Play great defense and if, you know, you think it's going to make sense, put him on the foul line, get the ball, get it to first. Well, if it's up against a layup or something, then yeah, you make a mirror from the foul line. But at this point you've got to go ahead and play defense. Out.

That's the decision J. T. johnson has made. And that's probably in part because every foul is a two shot foul here. So it's not like a one and a bonus.

That does change strategy a little bit. I mean, if it's one on one, that's a different story. So very interesting. I kind of like that role. I do.

Elder out there with Auld, Schauffler, Irvin. And my eye, My eye will bring it in. Thompson, Burnett, Beggar Yawn and La Saya for Shadl. Inbounds comes to Irvin. Guarded by Thompson.

I'm going to try to overplay the inbound pass, see if I can, you know, get a steal that way and if not, maybe get a double team in the corner and make them, you know, make them turn that thing over.

So you got a couple things you can play for. Try to pin him, use the sidelines as an extra defender and try to steal that inbound pass. If not, foul. Well, sizable student sections here tonight. Both teams filling up about three sections here at Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena.

And that's led when they're both in full throat to a loud situation here. Auld, Elder, Schoffler, Urban and Ma' I out there for North Central. Burnett, Fager, Thompson, yawn and lisea for Shayla Park. Ma' I gets it into Irvin. They trap Irvin in the backcourt.

But she can give her team a three point lead, which means they can't get beat by a three pointer. And that'll get coach Krause to another decision if they get there. Ervin hits the free throw. Clutch. Ice water in the veins.

38, 36. If she makes this free throw now Coach Krause who has three timeouts could take one to decide what whether he wants to foul and not let Shadle park get a three point shot off. Second free throw from Irvin. It's up, it's down. She gets them both.

North Central lost to Mount Spokane at Mount Spokane in the non counting game in in play this year. But they will play a counting game later on this winter at North Central. And North Central beat Gonzaga Prep for the first time in 17 years. At prep at prep.

That's not an easy thing to do in a tough place to win. So kudos to them. They've really got it going. Coach Sacary has got that team playing well. They have to talent.

All right, here comes the North Central defense out onto the floor. We'll see how they play it if they decide to foul so that North Central cannot get a tie in three off Urban can't be the player that commits the foul. She has four. North Carolina will press full court one on one, girl to girl, woman to woman, young lady to young lady, however you want to say it. Here's the inbounds.

It comes to Auld in the backcourt and she is immediately fouled. And that's not a bad play either. That's just the fourth team foul that you could do one. Well no, you know. Next one, next one, next one.

But that is were at zeros on the clock and that ends the game and schedule falls a point short Yawn had the three decided to drive in, take a two point shot and that left Shadow park at point short. North Central in an odd ending wins it 39, 38. Wow. Yeah. No, that's interesting.

I wonder if she just locks lost track of you know the score. I mean you think you'd know hey, we got to hit a three to tie this thing up. But she just went in, made the shot but not the shot that would have made a difference in tying it up. All right, welcome back. It's a great win for North Central. They get the victory. They're 2 and 11. Now on the season, Shadow park falls to 1 and 9.

It's time for our postgame recap and that is being presented by a lid at construction. All right, in this ball game early on it was all North Central. They held a seven to nothing early lead in this game. Shayla park did not score for the first five minutes and 19 seconds before they finally got a hoop and that made it a 7 to 2 ballgame that started a 7 nothing run for Shadow. We had our first tie of the game at 7.

NC retook the lead at 10 to 7 and they led by 3 at the end of the first quarter of play at 12 to 9. Neither team was able to get much going in the early part of the second quarter and finally when the lid came off the basket inside of three minutes remaining to play in the second quarter, the points came fast and furious. A Maya Burnett basket put Shadow on top 13 to 12 and then we kind of got on the seesaw. We had five total lead changes in the second quarter of play and a three pointer by Burnett put Shayla park on top at the intermission 20 to 18. A three pointer by JC Plaster gave Shadl their biggest lead of the game, five points at 23:18.

Early in the third quarter they still held a three point lead at 28:25. At the end of three quarters they still led by three, 30 to 27 early in the fourth quarter. But back came North Central on the back of Chalene Irvin who had a fantastic second half. There was a basket that made it 30 to 29 and then this play gave North Central the lead. They would not lose that lead except for a tie score down the stretch as this basket is our play of the game presented by Adams.

Tractor inbounds comes from Irvin. She'll get it into Mai way out there on the left side. Maid Irvin three ball out of the left corner. She banks it in out of the corner. You very rarely see that.

The three pointer by Ervin banked in out of the corner and it gives North Central the lead back at 32:30 with 525 left here in the fourth quarter for Chalene Ervin. She's up to 11 points so Irvin with the big shot there put her team ahead. Schadl was able to tie it at 32. NC took the lead back back at 33:32. They were not they did not trail the rest of the game.

They led 39:36 and at the end a two point basket by Addison Yawn. They needed a three to tie but Yawn elected to take the two that made it 39:38. The clock ran out. The winner of the girls game is North Central 39 38. Of course we also have the spirit competition here as that'll be ramping up here very shortly. Again right now, everybody taking a little break, cooling down after a lot of noise in the in the girls game. Let's run down the individual scoring in this one. As for North Central, they were led by Chalene Irvin, their leading scorer on the season.

Irvin tossed in 13 points in this ball game, including two big three free throws down the stretch after she was over her first three. But she had two big clutch free throws in this one. Irvin had 13 points, then six points. I should say eight points for Ald Feather. Ald had a very good game in this one.

She had eight points, six for Montana Elder between those two players, Alden Elder, they did a great job of the boards as well. Marley Schoeffler had five four for Mikayla, Mae Maai Rather and then three points for Talina. Big smoke for North Central's total of 39 for Shadow Park. They were led by Maya Burnett, the freshman five footer. She scored 10 points in this game, seven for J.

C. plaster. Good job by Chalene Irvin to play good defense against Schadl's leading scorer Mackenzie Fager who was held to six points, about 10 under her average in this ball game. Six for Addison Yawn and then five for Tamara Thompson. Two each for Chloe Hampton and Shay Crottzer for Shadow Park's total of 38.

And Paul also will have our players of the Game coming up as well. Well, we've got, we've got a gaggle of rebounds to say the least. An outstanding job, you know, by Shadow Park.

They ended up with five, let's see, 15, 24, five, six, seven, 34, 35 rebounds. So the leading rebounder was Addison yawn. She had 10 rebounds, did a nice job. Also Lucia Julia. Lucia had nine rebounds, seven for Thompson.

They were the three leading rebounders. Also Faker had five rebounds as well. In terms of the steals, Thompson did a nice job not only with her five points, but she also had five steals and an assist. She was a leader for steals from that standpoint. 7, 8, 9, 10 steals for Shadow park and they also had four assists and two blocks.

But they had, they had 19 turnovers and that was really the difference in this game, you know, was the turnover fast on that front. On the other side, 36 rebounds for North Central, 17 turnovers. A leading rebounder was Montana Elders. She had nine, followed by Shailene Irvin. She had eight as well.

Seven steals by Irvin, two assists along with a 13 point. She did an outstanding job. Three rebounds for Big Smoke, four rebounds for Auld, six rebounds for Schoffler Maia, she had five and nine for Elder. So really nice job. 36 rebounds, four North Central also, as we mentioned, the seven steals by Irvin, they had nine steals on the game, seven of those by Irvin, also three assists, two blocks by Elders.

A couple of the scores reported the Clarkston Girls defeated East Valley 8137 on the 2A side of things and on the 3A 4A side, Gonzaga Preps boys knocked off Cheney 71 59. Also this evening Central Valley is playing At U High, boys and girls play on the 2A side.

Also, Pullman is at East Valley tonight. Yesterday Ridgeline defeated North Central 52 45. On the girls end, Mead over LC 80 to 54 and Ferris top Mount Spokane 74 67. Boys action last night, North Central over Ridgeline 69 57. LC over Mead 47 to 35.

And Mount Spokane outscored Ferris 74 to 50. I should say so. That's what's happened yesterday. That's what's happening so far today. When you look at the GSL 3A 4A schedule tomorrow, our second Prep Spirit game here as it'll be Elsie and ferris at the arena 5:30 for the first game, the girls game.

And we'll be on the air at 5:15 with the boys game following. It's one of my favorite times of the year when you get everybody together for spirit games. And remember, it started back many years ago when Clay Damon was not a doctor, he was playing at Lewis and Clark. And that was the first rivalry game between LC and Ferris back in the early 80s. So it goes back a ways.

There's a lot of tradition, a lot of history and you know, all that, that fun stuff that, that takes shape. But it's really fun if you get a chance, come down and watch this. If you haven't had a chance to experience it, makes you awfully proud of this community. All right, so this game, North Central, this is a very good basketball game. Coach Robert Sakre has come in and really gotten them going here at North Central this year.

They are 10 and 1. Schadl is 5 and 4 overall. On the yearbone. You look at this team, there are three, at the very least, potential Division 1 college basketball players. None are signed, sealed and delivered to any Division 1 school at this point in time, nor to any school.

But that is point guard Eli Williams, six four senior. And then the Irvin brothers, Juju Irvin, who is 68 and a junior, and Jacori Irvin who is 6' 11 and a senior. And those three guys are high level talent. And that's going to be a tough job for SHADL to try to stop, especially the Irvins here in this ballgame. When you just look at the height for Shadl, their tallest guy is six three.

They've got a couple of guys at six one and six two. One guy at six four, that's it. Everybody else is under six feet. And you just look at North Central six' four, six' eight, six' six, four, six four six, eleven Six three, six two. And they're athletic.

We had a chance to see and what a great game we had earlier in the season to kick this thing off between Cheney and, you know, in North Central. And Stinson had an outstanding game. He was I think 30 or 32. You know, it just, it was a back and forth game. Williams played great.

I thought he had outstanding defense. That was really fun. And North Central was able to hang on and win that basketball game. And they're going to be a, they're going to be a tough out in the postseason moving forward. Shayla park, five and four on the season.

They have won three of their last four. They are, excuse me, they won three of their first four, then they lost two, then they won two and they lost their last game to Freeman by the score of 65 to 45. But this is a team that's powered basically by two players and that is Jacob Boston. He was a 59 junior. And the other is Zenock Thatcher who is a 61 senior.

Those two guys score in double figures about 32 points a game between the two of them. And shadow is undersized. So that means they better be hitting their perimeter shots here this evening. Well, they better get up and down the court and they better not let North Central have second, third, fourth chance shots or this game's going to get away quickly. So boxing out, playing good defense, rebounding and limiting, you know, the wolf pack to one, maybe two shots and I think is going to be a key in this game as well.

Larry. Yeah, it's going to be interesting to see what Shadl can do on the boards. Not a lot of size as Paul said earlier. It's really going to put a lot of pressure on Carson eichstad who is 6 4. He is really their only size.

Joshua Mallett is 6 3, but he's only a freshman. But Eichstadt is a big bodied guy, a junior who can play physically, but he's going to be at an extreme size advantage disadvantage in this game. Well, he can't get into foul trouble either because if you go small against this team, they could break out a lineup that, you know, their shortest guy is 64 and their tallest guy is 6 11. And that 611 guy is very athletic and he's going to contest shots. He's a tough out and really does a nice job, you know, with back to the basket.

And that's where I think Robert Sacrae has come in and done a nice job with his team. He's teaching them fundamentals. He's doing some stuff with this thing and they're playing together as a team. That hasn't always been the case, you know, with North Central over the years and when you have that kind of talent and athleticism and Williams is one of my favorite players. He's averaging almost 17 or over 17 points a game, but he defends people so well.

He can take any one of your best guys, you know, out, you know, during the evening and shut him down offensively. So a little calm before the storm here as the students are taking some time off between games to rest their voices. That is no good. And that ends the first half of play. So Juju Urban the tip dunk for North Central and he gives The Wolf Pack a 40:23 lead at the intermission. North Central had a 24:9 lead after the first. They extend that lead by two in the second after NC had cut it to a five point game.

At 25 to 20 it was a 15 to three run and I believe all those points for Shayla park came from the foul line down the stretch in the first half. Well, that was really a first half of streaks for, you know, for the, for the Highlanders and for the Wolfpack Highlanders not scoring but really North Central doing a great job early, running out to a big lead, got reeled back in and ran back out to a big lead right for halftime. All right, it'll be North Central's turn to perform and the intermission here. When we come back after this timeout. And that's apt because Dave Nichols is sitting here alongside as we talk about this one. This has been a fun first game and a half here in this groovy shoes battle.

Yeah, absolutely. The girls game. Every possession was a battle. You know, there were bodies on the floor the whole game. Nobody, you know, outside of that 70 lead at the beginning, nobody had a lead of more than three the rest of the game.

So the girls game, really entertaining this one. Kind of going the way we expected it. Right. North Central's taking taking advantage of their athleticism, their size, getting really good balance scoring. Shadow park just having trouble sticking with them athletically.

Big game last night in the gsl. On the boys side was the Ridgeline North Central game because both those teams have been playing very well and North Central came away with a victory in that game over Ridgeline. Yeah, you know, NC's for real. They still have some faults, obviously. You know, there's still a work in progress as Coach Zachary is saying.

But yeah, they're playing, playing really good ball. They've only lost once. You know, Ridgeline has been very good. They went up to Alaska and won four straight up there. So Freddie Rico's got them playing really well.

I think the 4A, 3A obviously, you know, Mount Spokane is one. And then I think we've got a bunch of 1A's right there that are going to battle for playoff spots. Yeah, Prep Ridge Line, North Central and then you've got to, I think throw LC in there and it's going to be an interesting match up tomorrow. They'll see in their zone with Ferris with some really good three point shooters. Yeah, you know, we don't talk about Ferris and they've got one of the best shooters in the league with Scaife.

And Mead has already beaten Coeur d'. Alene. He's a state title contender over in Idaho. So yes, you know, it's just a typically really good, really good year in boys basketball for the gsl. And on the girls side of things, I think it's, it's Mead trapped and CB that are at the top and I don't know that there's really that many others on the three A Side four A side that are.

That are really close to those at this point in time, probably not. Obviously Mead is a state title contender. Right? They're one of the three or four best 3A teams in the league. The 4A I think, I think, I think prep and, and CB are going to battle it out right down to the end.

They're both really good teams. They're both dependent on freshmen. So it's going to be which freshman handles the, handles the pressure down the stretch better than the other one. All right, so we mentioned that the themes here tonight we've got the video game theme for North Central, the Shrek theme for Shade of Park and you can kind of hear in the background, I think the. Is that the Pac man noises?

I think so. Yeah. It's always fun to see these things. Obviously they put a lot of time and effort into it. They have the entire student bodies out here.

The teaching staffs are out here and they'll participate in the skits is a little bit later. So it's fun to do this. It's great that the arena still makes this available for the, for the Spokane Public Schools to utilize this. We only have two games at the arena this year. I'm sorry Rogers is playing at Cheney, but the years that Rodgers hosted there'll be three games here and hopefully nothing happens to lose these games because they're just tremendous for these communities and for the league and for the town.

All right, so we've talked a lot about 3A 4A. We haven't talked about two way Schadl's a part of that and the league games for the two A start tonight. Who is the, who are the favorites I guess as we get ready to start league play here. Well, I think on the boys side it's West Valley and everybody else. West Valley's been been ranked number one in the state media poll.

They're one or two in the rpi and you take that for whatever it's worth. But again, really good basketball team. Jay Humphrey left a solid squad when he retired and they're just really good on the girls side again, I think it's Clarkston and everybody else. Clarkston's got a very good basketball team. Kendall Wallace is a fabulous player and everybody else is just a notch below them.

All right, so we get ready. Once we get through the league play, then we get in District life. Correct. And is there going to be anything after that? That's a change from years past.

Are they blending burst with the big nine in the Mid Columbia Conference or How are, how are things happening or do we even know at this point? I don't think we know at this point. I don't think that they're going to combine with the big nine for basketball. You know, they do it for football and they would like to do it for basketball. I just, I don't think anything is set.

And, and, you know, just. It's all these. It's. It's a power grab, right? These, These leagues all want to have their.

Their spots and they don't want to give them up this year. There's only. There's only two from the, from the District 8 that are going out of 3A, whereas last year there were three teams. So that every, Every playoff spot is going to be that much more. I say the competition's gonna be that more.

More rock racket ratcheted up because there are only two spots in the 3A. So that's two. Two in the 3A for total. The MCC and the. And the GSL, right?

Oh, yeah. There's gonna be a good basketball team left out, and things are going to get even crazier the next time that they. That the classifications change. We're going to see, you know, teams coming up, teams going down, and they'll have to resort it all over again. It's like, if you don't like what's going on this year, just wait for the next cycle and it's all going to change.

Two, four as well. Get in. Yeah, two, four as well. So the competition is going to be. And there's more.

I don't know if there's more forays down there than there are. There are more forays down there than. So it'll be a lot of fun as we go through wrestling. Also continuing tonight, and we talked to you about this last week. I don't think anything's changed.

It's Mount Spokane, Mead and Yuhai kind of is trailing in the third spot. Yeah, you know, Mead's got so many wrestlers on these. When they go to these weekend tournaments, they split them up evenly and put, you know, some of their good ones on one team and some of the good ones on the other, and they still win these tournaments.

It's really kind of remarkable how they do it. They have. They have 600 wrestlers or something out there. All right, Dave, we appreciate your time. Thanks as always.

I don't know what that is. And then I can't see the people in the front. There's a lot of kind of interesting headdresses on. So we. This must have been past my time.

I don't remember a lot of these games. Yeah, I have no clue, as usual when we start talking about things like this. So, yeah, that's a little bit out of our pay grade right now, unfortunately. I do see a Big Mac in there, though. I can relate to that.

Or a cheeseburger. So that looks pretty good. So you're just hungry. You're seeing. Yeah, I am hungry, man.

You're seeing things that aren't existing. Maybe. I don't know. Oh, there's a cheeseburger. Oh, yep, there it is.

I guess you're right. All right. So I don't know what game that would have been a part of. Games maybe. We are at the intermission.

It's 40 to 23 in favor of North Central. Let's recap the first half of play. This portion of our first half recap presented by SW X. Shadow park jumped out to an early 4 nothing lead in this ball game. North Carolina then ran 16 consecutive points.

They took a 616 to 4 lead and let it 24 to 9 at the end of the first quarter of play. But Schadl came back to start the second quarter. They went on a 91 run and they hit a three pointer by Enoch Gothecha and that kept the lead to five at 25 to 20. But Trevel Jones came back, his three pointer led a 15 to three run down the stretch in the second quarter of play and it was the lead was expanded to 17 at 38 to 21 and it's 40 to 23 here at the intermission.

So that ties the biggest lead of the first half for North Central. With this 40 to 23 lead, things look like Shadow had the momentum there, but MC took it back. I don't think schedule scored a field goal in the last half of the second quarter of play. Well the year now you job rebounding wise. North Central was outstanding and really limited Shadl to one, maybe two shots.

You know, eight turnovers for Shadow park but North Central at 11. So they got a little careless with the basketball but when they turned up the heat, man, they were tough to stop. So let's go down with the statistics here of the first half of play. In this portion of our statistics presented by brother exploring for North Central, nine points for Eli Williams, nine for Travell Jones to lead them, six for Jacore Urban, six for Juju Urban, four for Makai Daniels, four for Trey Workman and two for Isaac Pratt.

Now I have that at 42 points but they only have 40. But I think Dave has him with 42 as well. So somebody forgot a point on the board. Couple points. So we're 30.

Either we gave somebody something that they weren't supposed to have or we've got a misaligned total here. I'm not sure which. But at any rate it added up to 40 is what North Central officially has here in the first half for Shadow park they were led by Jacob Boston. He tossed in 10 first half points. Five, six points free not get Thatcher, five for Carson Ikestat and two for Arias Sweeney for Shadow's total of 23.

Now some other statistics. Here's Paul and these statistics are presented by the swinging doors. North Central had 18 rebounds. Three players at three rebounds. Jones, Daniels and Workman who came in off the bench, Little five seven guard had a nice job, did a nice job in there.

Also five steals, two steals by Jones and also five blocks, two assists as well. Irvin had both the Irvin Brothers both had two blocks, each doing a nice job. 11 turnovers. On the other side, Shayla park only had 10 rebounds. They got rebound out, rebounded by eight.

Seven steals though, two steals by Tilton and also Gacheca doing a nice job there as well. Three rebounds for A couple players. Eckhart got in foul trouble early. He had four points, three rebounds in the steals, but had to come out eight total turnovers for Shadow Park. All right, so I don't know what I'm doing wrong here because I total up 40 on my score book as I'm totaling up the marks that I made.

But then when I put the numbers together. So somewhere along the line, I'm transposing a number here and I can't figure it out, so I'm confusing myself. 10. I got 40. 16, 22.

Okay, 40. Yeah, now I get it. So I must have. Yeah, I couldn't add. That was my problem.

I'm usually really good at math, and today, not so much as I was thinking I had 24 and 18 rather than 22 and 18. So there you go. All right, the dancing and whatnot. The choreography is done here at the intermission. The cheering continues, though, because they're running down on time here for the judges to come and do their thing.

Now we've got some more dancing and whatnot that's happening. So we're going to have a little longer halftime here than we thought we were going to have. Well, that's okay. It's. I like that they're giving the crowd there's money's worth here.

So good turnout tonight for North Central. Shade on both sides. Well done. Yeah, the lower bowl is fairly full here this evening, so not too many people. I see all the three people in the upper levels now.

The North Central dance team comes out onto the floor for their performance here at the intermission. So tomorrow night we'll be back here. We'll be doing it all again. Paul Sorensen, Lewis and Clark taking on Ferris in the South Hill battle for the rubber chicken. Good old Chuck.

Old Chuck, you know. And I think LC's kind of had a nice little winning streak here. I think they've won four or five in a row. So I know Ferris would love to get Chuck back up there. And it's going to be a battle both on the course and in the stands in terms of everything.

They absolutely would. That. That the game kind of takes second place compared to the groovy shoes, the stinky sneaker, which is CB&U high and the rubber chicken and all the other interesting names that you have for the. The rivalry games for these different schools. Yeah.

Stinky sneakers CV and U High. That is set for February in Cheney. Red Reid sport inside the pavilion at Eastern. We actually had a good talk with Robin Barnard out at at Central Valley talking about that and I think that's great that they're bringing it out there. What an outstanding venue.

And they'll pack it. It'll be fun. Kind of have a stomping exercise exhibition here with the NC drill team. This is what would happen if both Larry and I didn't get our way. We'd do the little stompy feet and have a hissy and head off in the wrong direction.

My feet would be sore at the end of all this. I'm sore just standing. I don't know how these guys can run up and down the court with the cement underneath. That is tough on the knees. Great precision by this dance team right now with this.

The Clarkston girls defeated West Valley 81 37. Let's see here. Is that right? Yeah. Clarkson girls defeated West Valley 81:37 and the Cheney boys lost to Gonzaga Prep tonight 71:59 in quite a battle there.

So that's what we know at this point in time on the spokesman review scoreboard. Other games that we don't have finals on yet. Central Valley and U High playing in. Boys and girls play. The West Valley boys playing at Clarkston.

The Pullman play boys playing at East Valley and then the Prep Cheney girls. We don't have a score on it yet at this point either, but those will become come apparent later tonight. Hopefully we'll have them for you and if we do, we'll pass him along. As long as you keep that guy to the left, left of you working hard, getting scores, I think we're going to be in good shape. Well, probably so Nichols, by the way.

Yes, it is. And top, we've got second half upcoming here. What does Shadl has to have to do to get back into this ball game? You know, when they made that run, Larry, they did a nice job of transition. They didn't turn the ball over.

They were getting second chance, you know, points and they're making their shots. It's tough when you have a, you know, lineup like North Star Central halves that has the height, I mean, they're so athletic and they, they challenge stuff up at the rim. You don't really have that for Shadow park, but they run a nice offense. They move the ball around, they're, they're making that extra pass and you know that's going to be the key limit. The turnovers, you got to make sure that you keep, you know, Eckhart, he's got three fouls, five North Central.

And I see, I see number five come into the game. I'm going to take the game right to him, try to, to get him to pick that fourth foul up. And that could be some serious problems for Shadl here. Yeah, you know, Schadl can't, you can't get this all back in the first two or three minutes. So you gotta kind of take the rest of this game maybe in quarters.

And what they'd like to do is by maybe the four minute media mark, get this or media timeout, get this down to 12 or 13 and then at the end of the third quarter, have it down to 8 or 9 and then have it down 5 or 4 or maybe 6 going into the final 4 minutes to give yourself a chance. Well, it's like, you know, playing any good team, you want to get the game into the fourth quarter and you want to be able to cut this thing. So you have a lead or deficit that's manageable. You know, halfway through the fourth and then the foul trouble comes into play and are you able to get to the free throw line? Can you make your shots?

If you can make your free throws and you know, I was impressed. I thought Boston really had himself a nice half. You know, he played awfully hard there, had a couple rebounds. He had, he had 10 points. He was the offense for Shadow Park.

They have to keep him going. He's a Very good basketball player. And he was hitting his shot. Let's see if they feed him a little bit. Get him hot again here in the third quarter.

Yeah, they need get Thatcher to get hot. He hit the only three pointer that Schadl made in the first half of play. But he is a very dangerous scorer as well, besides Boston. And just keeping Eichstadt in the game is going to be huge. He had five first half points in this ball game, but he sat the majority of the first half with those fouls.

Well, seven players from North Central have been able to score pretty balanced scoring all the way across, you know, along those lines. When you look at Shadow park, they only had four players that were responsible for their scoring. So you just see how, you know, I like how North Central, you know, substitute. They have length, they have height, keep guys fresh. And they're running fresh guys at you.

And you've got, you know, you're playing five, maybe six players for Shadow Park. That wears you out, especially towards the end of the third quarter, into the fourth. All right, North Central out on the floor, ready to go here for the third quarter of play, they'll have Travell Jones, Isaac Pratt, Eli Williams, Jacori Irvin and Juju Irvin on the floor.
