Prep roundup: Noah Willard leads West Valley boys basketball; Juju Lewis hits 8 of 8 at the line for Ferris girls

Roundup of Friday’s high school sports basketball nonleague action from the Greater Spokane League.

Boys

Central Valley 58, Kennewick 50: Orland Axton scored 16 points, Cameron Walls added 13 and the Bears (2-0) defeated the visiting Lions (1-1). 

Lewis and Clark 70, AC Davis 60: Angus Gehn scored 17 points, Porter Pearson added 14 and the Tigers (2-1) defeated the visiting Pirates (0-3). 

Ferris 64, Moses Lake 63: Cole Floyd scored 20 points with 16 rebounds and the visiting Saxons (1-1) edged the Mavericks (1-2) in a nonleague game on Friday. Boston Hess added 14 points for Ferris. Brady Jay led Moses Lake with 21 points, Tyce Miller had 12 and Grady Walker added 11.

Post Falls 76, University 58: Cashton Bodman scored 33 points on 12 of 14 shooting and the visiting Trojans (2-1) defeated the Titans (1-1) in a nonleague game on Friday. Jaxon Lysne added 15 points for Post Falls. Sam Delgard led University with 18 points while Eli Rigsby and Brady Bell added 12 points apiece.

West Valley (Yakima) 87, Mead 84: Austin Birley scored 35 points and the visiting Rams (2-0) defeated the Panthers (1-2). Karsen Maze led Mead with 32 points, Trevelle Jones had 18 and Brady Thornton added 14.

West Valley 67, Shadle Park 56: Noah Willard scored 21 points, Jayce Lagerstrom added 18 and the Eagles (2-0) defeated the visiting Highlanders (0-2). Nate Zettle scored 15 points for West Valley. Jamie Johnson led Shadle Park with 15 points and Christian Groth added 11.

Pullman 63, Riverside 45: Cade Rogers scored 24 points, Vaughn Holstad added 15 and the Greyhounds (3-0) defeated the visiting Rams (1-2). Ben Riggles led Riverside with 15 points.

La Grande (OR) 69, Clarkston 59: Landon Hood scored 24 points, Blake Hildebrandt added 21 and the Tigers (1-0) defeated the visiting Bantams (0-1). Dray Torpey led Clarkston with 29 points while Kendry Gimlin added 17.

Washougal 76, East Valley 56: Dylan Gibson scored 28 points and the Panthers (2-1) defeated the visiting Knights (0-2). Gabriel Martin scored 14 points for East Valley and Wallace Frates added 12.

Girls

Central Valley 68, Kennewick 54: Drae Domebo scored 22 points, Aspen Henry had 17 and the Bears (2-0) defeated the visiting Lions (1-1). Olivia Patshkowski added 13 points and Gracie Lanphere chipped in 11 for CV. Rylee Bendewald paced Kennewick with 17 points.

Mead 54, Lakeland 41: Reese Frederick scored 15 points, Ellie Thornton had 13 and Addison Wells Morrison added 11 and the Panthers (1-0) defeated the visiting Hawks (1-4). Presley Fagan led Lakeland with 14 points.

Ferris 60, Moses Lake 45: Mateia Eschenbacher scored 24 points and the visiting Saxons (2-0) defeated the Mavericks (1-2). Juju Lewis went 8 of 8 at the line for Ferris finishing with 22 points. Addyson Burns and Yaretzi Madrigal scored nine points apiece for Moses Lake.

Richland 59, Mt. Spokane 41: Taylor Davis scored 25 points and the the Bombers (1-0) hit 10 3-pointers to down the visiting Wildcats (0-2). Dezeray Manuel scored 11 points and Dakota Wyss had 10 for Mt. Spokane.

West Valley 44, Shadle Park 28: Avery Spunich scored 17 points, Cassie Brooks added 10 and the Eagles (2-0) defeated the visiting Highlanders (1-1). Fryda Mendez led Shadle Park with 12 points and Makenzie Fager added 10.

Sandpoint 65, University 36: The visiting Bulldogs (4-0) defeated the Titans (0-1). Details were unavailable.

Pullman 61, Riverside 10: Grace Kuhle scored 14 points in the first half, Eloise Clark finished with 10 and the Greyhounds (2-1) led 47-5 at the half in defeating the visiting Rams (0-3).

Clarkston 84, WF West 56: Laney Augir scored 23 points, Jaelyn McCormack-Marks added 20 and the visiting Bantams (2-0) beat the Bearcats (0-1). Dilyn Breck scored 25 points for W.F. West.
