CENTRAL VALLEY
ELLIE TAYLOR

Ellie Taylor has a 4.0 GPA and is the daughter of Matt and Suzanne Taylor. Ellie earned 6 varsity letters: 2 in slow-pitch softball and 4 in fast-pitch softball. In slow-pitch softball, Ellie earned 1st Team All-GSL honors as a senior. In fast-pitch softball, she earned All-GSL Honorable Mention as a junior and is in the running for 1st team All-GSL honors this year. Ellie also represents Central Valley High School as a Spokane Scholar in English. Ellie is a member Sisters in STEM, Civic Leaders of America, Key Club and National Honor Society. Ellie will Utah State University on a four-year full tuition scholarship. She plans on majoring in Mechanical Engineering, with an emphasis in Aerospace Engineering.
BEAU BUTNER

Beau Butner has a 4.0 GPA and is the son of Ryan and Heather Butner. Beau earned 8 varsity letters: 4 in football and 4 in soccer. In football, Beau earned All-GSL 2 nd Team honors as a junior. As a senior, he earned All-GSL 1 st Team and League Offensive MVP honors. He set new GSL Single Game Rushing Record with 367 yards, breaking a 21-year-old record. He finished the season with 1394 Rushing yards, 426 receiving yards, 27 touchdowns, 7 blocked kicks, 1 INT returned for a TD. He was named the WIAA Player of the Week (Week 5) and was a 1st Team All-State Selection. In Soccer, Beau earned All-GSL Honorable Mention as a Freshman, 1st Team as a Sophomore and Junior, and we anticipate him earning 1st Team honors this year and he is a leading candidate for Defensive MVP. He also competes for the Surf Select Northwest National Soccer Team and had the opportunity to compete in Valencia, Spain last summer. Beau is a member of National Honor Society, has participated in Central Valley’s school-wide food drive all four year, helping collect foot for Spokane Valley Partners and helps run youth football camps in the summer. Beau will be attending Carroll College in Helena, Montana in the fall on a full-ride football scholarship. He plans on being a pre-med major and attending medical school when he graduates from Carroll.
CHENEY
HANNAH WARD

Hannah Ward, daughter of Kelly Ward and Christopher Ward, is a standout student athlete with a 4.0 GPA and a 1330 SAT score. She is also a Running Start student, having completed two years of college coursework at Eastern Washington University, including one AP class. Hannah has earned a total of 9 varsity letters: 3 in cross country, 2 in basketball, and 4 in track and field. In cross country, she placed 15th at the 3A State Championships in 2025, earned 35th
All-State honors, was named to the 1st Team GSL All-League, and was recognized as the MVP of her team during her senior year. Hannah is also committed to giving back to her community. She has volunteered at her church teaching Sunday School, where she has contributed her time to serving others and supporting
local programs. Her volunteer work reflects her dedication to leadership both on and off the track. Hannah will attend Idaho University, where she plans to major in Biology. She has been awarded a track & field scholarship, and will continue her athletic career at the collegiate level.
ALMA SMITH

Alma Smith has a 3.83 GPA and is the son of Sally Sanchez and Grant Smith. Alma has taken 7 AP classes and is involved in school activities including the Class of 2025 leadership and various other school specific clubs. Alma earned 8 varsity letters; 1 in cross country, 3 in diving, and 4 in track and field. In diving, he is a 3× state qualifier, 2× 3A state champion, and 3× GSL MVP. He also qualified for the USA Junior Nationals twice and was a semifinalist in two events. In track and field, he placed 6th at the state meet and is looking to be in the top three 3A pole vaulter. He was also named Most Improved in the 2023 track season. He has given his time to various community programs, mentoring younger athletes and
supporting local events, showing strong leadership and a commitment to giving back. Alma will attend California State University, Bakersfield, where he was awarded a diving scholarship. He plans to study Biochemistry.
CLARKSTON
Ryann Combs

Ryann Combs has a 4.0 GPA and is the daughter of Dustin and Katie Combs. Ryann is a member of clubs
and activities at Clarkston High School; she is the ASB executive president, and a member of FFA,
National Honors Society, DECA, and Link Crew. Ryann earned 11 varsity letters; 1 in volleyball, 2 in cheer, 4 in basketball, and 4 in softball. In basketball she was an honorable mention her junior and senior year, a captain her senior year, and the Clarkston girls program was two-time league champs, two-time district champs, was 3rd in the state her junior year, and she was the NECA IBEW student of the quarter for the winter season. In softball, she was a second-team outfielder in her freshman and sophomore years, a first-team infielder in her junior year, and a captain in her senior year. She led her team to a 21-1 record which resulted in her team winning districts and going to state for the first time in program history when she was a junior.
Ryann volunteers for Clarkston ASB, FFA, Link Crew, Wreath Across America, Clarkston Cheer, Clarkston Softball, CHS concessions, and local elementary schools. She has been very dedicated to her community helping her school raise over $10,000 for local recipients. She has planned successful community service projects through her leadership roles at her school. Ryann has completed over 200 hours of community service while balancing academics and sports. Ryann will attend Lewis-Clark State College where she was awarded the presidential scholarship for her
grades and will pursue nursing.
EVAN STINSON

Josh Hofman has a 3.92 GPA and is the son of Brianne and Josh Hofman. Josh is a member of football, basketball, and track Josh earned 8 varsity letters; 4 in football, 3 in basketball, and 1 in track. In football he was a three time 1st team all league and a one time second team all league. He was a captain in his junior and senior year and helped his team secure two league championships and their first state tournament win in 34 years. In
Basketball he started 3 years on varsity and was named captain his senior year. Josh volunteers for a variety of places including the Idaho Food Bank, Asotin County Fair, River Access For Tomorrow, and the CHS Concessions. He has also been very dedicated to the sports community of Clarkston by encouraging the younger generation to play sports. His leadership skills develop these younger athletes to play hard and dedicate themself to the sport. He has spent over 55 hours helping his community, to make it a better place. Josh will attend Carroll College where he was awarded the presidential scholarship for academics along with an athletic scholarship. He will be playing football while studying Civil Engineering.
DEER PARK
2025
Brooklyn Coe

Brooklyn Coe has a cumulative 3.86 GPA and is the daughter of Brian and Lis Coe. Brooklyn is a member of the National Honors Society, Senior Class President, involved in ASB and volunteers for many community and school events Brooklyn earned nine Varsity letters, Four in basketball, two in cross country and three in track and field. She has received three first team all league honors and two all state honors for basketball and earned a first team all league selection in cross country. Brookly volunteers at the elementary schools in Deer Park. She helps with kindergarten recess,
field days and has worked in many different classrooms. Brooklyn also volunteers her time after school as a member of the school’s Unified Sports programs. Brooklyn is uncommitted but plans to play basketball in college and wants to study Special Education.
Dillon Mareth

Dillon Mareth has a 4.0 GPA and is the son of James and Heather Mareth. Dillon is a member of the national honor society, and DECA. Dillon earned 9 varsity letters; 4 in football, 3 in wrestling, and 2 in golf. In football he was a team captain. In wrestling he was 2nd team all league, and academic state champion. Dillon volunteers for his wrestling community and DECA. He refs little guy tournaments for wrestling and helps put on activities by DECA for the community like Night and the North Pole and their food drive. Dillon will attend Montana State University where he was awarded the Achievement Award Scholarship. He plans to study electrical engineering.

2025
Rachel Metge

Rachel Metge has a 4.0 GPA and is the daughter of Will and Alisse Metge. Rachel is a member of the National Honor Society, and serves on the student council. During high
school she also participated in FFA and was an officer in the World Religions Club. Rachel earned 10 varsity letters; 4 in cross country, 2 in track, 2 in FFA and 2 in academics. In Cross country she qualified individually for state two years and achieved the GSL first team award twice. She was also a team captain for cross country and an event captain in track. Rachel volunteers at her church, where she helps plan youth activities and does service activities in the community or for other church members. She also does some service both in the community and in her high school for the National Honors Society. Rachel will be attending Brigham Young University where she was awarded a partial scholarship.
Weston Fracz

Weston Fracz has a 3.87 GPA and is the daughter of Steve and Crissa Fracz. Weston has participated in DECA, and served in student leadership throughout his academic
career, currently serving on ASB as Activities Coordinator. He was recognized as a PACE award recipient in 2019. Weston is a four-year varsity athlete in men’s soccer and has served as team captain all four years. He was recognized with All League Honors on Second Team his Freshman & Sophomore Year and First Team as a Junior. He received recognition as the NECA/IBEW GSL spring 2023 award recipient. He also lettered in football and was recognized as All League First Team as Kicker his senior year. Weston received his Eagle Scout rank through Boy Scouts of America and in the program has spent hundreds of hours serving throughout his community in many organizations like Liberty Lake City Parks, Spokane County, Hoopfest, several schools and churches, and the Big Horn Show. Weston plans to continue his education at a four-year university, majoring in athletic training and eventually plans to attend chiropractic school.
FERRIS
2025
Estelle Moffitt

Estelle Moffitt has a 4.000 GPA, and her weighted GPA is 4.392. She is the daughter of Rebecca and Jason Moffitt. She is in the top 1% of Ferris’s graduating class and she will be summa cum laude. She is involved in ASB and has taken 5 years of Spanish earning her seal of biliteracy and passed 9 AP courses. Those courses were AP Biology, AP Calculus BC, AP Literature and Composition, AP Chemistry, AP English Language and Composition, AP Pre-Calculus, AP Spanish, AP US History, and AP World History. Estelle earned 4 varsity letters: 2 in track and field and 2 as a basketball player. She was selected by her teammates as the most inspirational and most improved basketball
player. She was a part of the 4A academic state championship girls’ basketball team. She has participated in 3 sports all four years of her high school career. She is currently on the Ferris Tennis Team.
Estelle is Ferris High School’s outgoing ASB president for the 2024-2025 school year. She has also been actively involved in being a youth leader in our community. She has been a junior camp counselor at Camp Reed for the past two summers. Estelle has been a part of the National Honor Society for 2 years and has completed over 100 hours of community service. Estelle has earned merit scholarships at the University of Washington and University of San Diego which are her top two choices. Estelle is currently undecided on where she is attending college. She plans on entering the medical field as either a doctor or nurse. Or wherever the wind takes her.
DYLAN SKAIFE

Luke Roland has a 3.9783 GPA, and his weighted GPA is 4.381. He is the son of Chad and Kari Roland. He has taken ten AP classes and has been actively involved in our engineering program at Ferris. Interesting fact, Luke and Estelle share the same birthday. Luke earned 8 varsity letters: in basketball, tennis, and cross country. Luke was the captain of the basketball team during his senior season. He was an all-league GS basketball player during his senior season. He was the MVP of the GSL Showcase this past March. Luke has been on the varsity tennis team for all four years. He has been
on the varsity basketball team for the past 3 seasons. Luke has been a 2-sport athlete at Ferris for the last 3 years. Luke has earned a full tuition scholarship to BYU and is waiting on other scholarship opportunities. Luke will attend BYU in the fall. He plans on studying engineering and will serve his full-time mission after one year in college.

Olivia McIntyre

Olivia McIntyre has a 3.8 GPA and is the daughter of Andrea and Matty McIntyre. Olivia is a founder of Pup Thrift at Gonzaga Prep and is a member of the national honor society, Empowerment Club and serves on the Captain’s Council. Olivia earned 8 varsity letters; 4 in basketball, and 4 in track. In basketball her Junior year she was named to the GSL Second team. At the state tournament where her team finished second place she was named to the All-State team. Senior year she was named First team GSL and invited to play in the Washington
all star game. In track she has earned a spot on the first team GSl team in the 2023 and 2024 seasons. She was a 100M Freshman Champion and is on the 4×1 and 4×2 school record holding relay teams. Jaeger Grimsby has a 3.8 GPA and is the son of Jeremy and Larisa Grimsby. Jaeger is a member of the national honor society and the captains council. Jaeger earned 7 varsity letters; 3 in football, and 4 in track. Jaeger and the Gonzaga Prep Football Team placed fourth overall in the 2024 state tournament. Jaeger earned 2024 first team GSL honors in football and hopes to do so in track as well. Jaeger has volunteered at YMCA Camp Reed. At this children’s camp, he helped kids learn life skills, cleaned the cafeteria, and played many children’s games. He went on hikes and listened to the counselors’ advice. He helped the kids have a great experience at camp. Jaeger will start his apprenticeship in the summer and attend trade school where he will become
an electrician.

Gwenyth Bafus

Gwenyth Bafus has a 3.972 GPA and is the daughter of Christopher and Allison Bafus. Gwen is a member of the National Honor Society and participates in leadership at LC, she is also the ASB president and Lewis and Clark. Gwen is a 4-year varsity athlete in Girl’s soccer. In Soccer, she received a captain’s position for her junior and senior year. Gwen volunteers at Generation Alive and Bite2Go and has contributed time at Bite2Go food packing events and spreading awareness about food insecurity at local elementary schools and youth groups. Gwen will attend Washington State University and plans to major in Nursing. She has so far received a Distinguished University Achievement Award, and the Grace E & Daniel W Patrick Scholarship and will not be participating in collegiate athletics.
Mikey Mann

Mikey Mann has a 4.2 GPA and is the son of James and Jennifer Mann. Mikey is a member of the National Honor Society and participates in the Lewis and Clark wind ensemble. Mikey earned 7 varsity letters – 2 in football, 1 in soccer, and 4 in wrestling. In football, he was a 2-time second team all-GSL Linebacker and was a 4A districts champion in wrestling. Mikey volunteers at second harvest foodbank and has contributed time playing tuba in band and leading first grade youth ministry in his church. Mikey will attend the University of Washington and plans to major in bioengineering. He has received a scholarship recognizing servant leadership from Lewis and Clark Football and will be participating in rugby at the University of Washington.

Abby has a 3.9 GPA and is the daughter of Ken and Andrea
Priddy. During her time at Mt Spokane HS, Abby has participated in our DECA program and played a vital role in our student store through her Marketing classes. Abby volunteered with her grandparents to serve the ALS community with meals, support and sharing time. She also volunteered as a coach/counselor in the youth and high school volleyball and basketball camps. Abby has earned 8 varsity letters: 4 in basketball, 3 in volleyball and 1 in track. In basketball, Abby was a three-time All-GSL Honorable Mention. She was team captain both her Junior and Senior years, and was team MVP both years. Abby earned the coaches Wildcat Award her junior and senior years and was voted most inspirational by her team her senior year. In volleyball, Abby was voted most inspirational her junior year. Abby’s volleyball team qualified for State all three years, finishing fourth, sixth, and third @ the WIAA Volleyball State Championships. Abby Priddy will be attending Northwest Nazarene University where she was awarded a scholarship for basketball and intends to major in Kinesiology.

Parker volunteers at both Teen & Kid Closet and 2nd Harvest Food Bank. Each year, during high school freshman orientation he dedicates time to volunteering, and he also tutors students after school. Additionally, he has volunteered annually at the Spokane Marathon. Parker will attend Colorado State University where he was awarded an academic and an athletic scholarship to run cross country and track. He will major in Environmental Engineering.

Brooklyn Lawrence

Brooklyn Lawrence has a 3.994 GPA (CUM GPA Weighted is 4.430) and is the daughter of Jamie Spong and David Lawrence. Brooklyn is a member of the National Honor Society, DECA State Qualifer, 2x Genomics State Qualifier, and a skilled artist in drawing and design. Brooklyn earned 9 varsity letters: 3 in cross country, 3 in gymnastics, and 3 in track and field. In cross country, she was team captain. In gymnastics, she was team captain, 3x
State Qualifier, 2nd Team All-GSL in Bars, Beam, and Floor and a State finalist on Beam (finished 6 th ) her junior year, 1st Team All-GSL in All-Around, 3A District 6 Champion, and State finalist in All-Around (finished 7th ), Vault (finished 5th ), and Beam (finished 8th) her senior year. In track and field, she is team captain, State Qualifier her junior year in pole vault (finished 9th ) and is currently ranked 4th in the State and tied for 1st in the region in pole vault. Brooklyn volunteers with the National Honor Society. Brooklyn is planning to attend the University of Washington where she will major in
Architecture.
Zachary Schlettert

Zachary Schlettert has a 4.0 GPA (CUM GPA Weighted is 4.404) and is the son of
Warren and Emily Schlettert. Zachary is a member of the National Honor Society,
National Merit Qualifer for SAT in the top 1%, AP Scholar of Distinction, Spokane
Scholar nominee in Mathematics, State Band Qualifier his junior year and All-Northwest
this year in trumpet, and 2x State Genomics Qualifier.
Zachary earned 9 varsity letters: 3 in football, 2 in basketball, and 4 in track and field. In
football, Zachary was team captain. In basketball, he was a member of the 3A District 8
Champions his junior year, and a 2x State Qualifier. In track and field, he is currently
ranked 3 rd in the district in pole vault.
Zachary volunteers with the National Honor Society and at Stevens Elementary helping
organize events for the students and families. He also did an X-ray Crystallography
Internship at Whitworth University.
Zachary will attend the University of Washington and major in Applied Math.
PULLMAN
2025
FAITH SAMPSON

Faith has a 3.97 GPA and is the daughter of Kari and Jason Sampson. Faith is a member of Pullman High Schools Youth in STEM club, Golf Team, Bowling team, and has been in both Science Olympiad and Soccer as well. Faith has earned 9 varsity letters; 2 in Soccer, 3 in Bowling, and 3 in Golf. In golf she had been a first team all conference, an all league player, all state academic and second team all conference. The sport team honors are District Champions both 2023 and 2024 as well as placing 4th at state. In bowling she has been Papa Murphy’s athlete of the week, P1FCU athlete of the month, and GSL Winter Athlete of the Month. The bowling team honors include All State Team Academics. Faith volunteers with Washington State Universities Environmental Health and Safety department, helping to run the university’s zero waste sporting events. At the events she helped run the activities, set up and take down the booths and supported the information booth in informing the community about initiatives and how the recycling system works. Faith also volunteered as a youth soccer coach through the local parks and recreation center. Faith will attend Pacific University where she was awarded a $30,000 Merit scholarship, and $15,000 in additional awards. She will be playing on the University’s golf team. Faith is planning on majoring in Biochemistry with a focus in pre-medicine with plans to attend Medical school in the future.
Samuel Sears

Samuel Sears has a 3.26 GPA and is the son of Cotton and AnaMaria Sears.
Sam earned three varsity letters in football; 4 varsity letters in track and field; and 4 varsity letters in wrestling.
In football, he was a 2nd team all league defensive end in 2023; and a 2024 unanimous first team all-league defensive
tackle.
In track and field, Sam qualified for the state tournament in 2024 where he finished 9th in the discus.
Sam is a 2-time district champion in wrestling at 195 and 215lbs. As a Freshmen he was 2nd in districts and 3rd as a
Junior. He placed 3rd and 4th at regionals in 2023 and 2024 respectively. The regional tournament was not held this
year. Sam is a 3-time state qualifier and placed 8th in the state tournament at 195lb as a sophomore and he finished
4th at state this year as a senior in the 215lb bracket.
Sam regularly participates in church activities providing community services for local homeless families; serving as a
youth leader for summer camps and helping new families move into the area.
Samuel will attend Brigham Young University Idaho in the fall of 2027 and plans to study history and welding. In the
interim 2 years, Sam will serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints somewhere in the
world–to be determined this month.
RIDGELINE
2025
Rahni Greene

Rahni Greene has a 4.0 GPA and is the daughter of Becky and Matt Greene. Rahni has been a
member of the National Honor Society since her freshman year.
Rahni has earned 4 varsity letters; 2 in basketball and 2 in volleyball. In volleyball, she has been
named to the 2024 3A/4A GSL All-League First Team, 2024 WSVCA 3A All-State Tournament
Team, and the WSVCA 3A All-State Volleyball First Team. In 2024, Ridgeline Volleyball were the
GSL League Champions, 3A District 6 Champions, and won the WIAA 3A State Championship
in their first state appearance.
Rahni hasn’t missed an opportunity to participate in community service through Ridgeline’s
sports programs, partaking in “Future Falcon Camps” for both basketball and volleyball for the
past few years, as well as Ridgeline’s Future Falcon Nights; all of which are events introducing
and welcoming young children to the fun that Ridgeline’s sports have to offer. Through
volunteering, Rahni has learned the significance that team sports can have on fostering lasting
relationships and building a community. She’s also learned the importance teamwork makes in
establishing a positive, encouraging environment and how effective motivation can strengthen
an athlete’s confidence.
Rahni Greene will attend Cal Poly Humboldt University where she was awarded an athletic
scholarship for volleyball. She plans to major in pre-medicine and pursue a career in healthcare.
Daden Lewis

Daden has a 4.0 GPA and is the son of Rob and Sarah Lewis. He is a member of Ridgeline’s
senior class council, a founding board member of the Mock Trial club, was names the January
Liberty Lake “Splash” newspaper student of the month, and has played lead trombone in both
the concert and jazz bands at Ridgeline.
Daden earned 8 varsity letters, four in football, three, on pace for four, in track and field and one
in band. He was a 4 year varsity starter in football, was named to the All-GSL 2nd team
offensive line, was a part of the first school state playoff team and was named Ridgeline’s
lineman MVP twice by his peers. In track and field he was a multi-event state participant in
2024, was named to the All-GSL 2nd team in the discus throw, holds Ridgeline’s discus throw
school record and is currently serving as a captain of the team.
Daden has volunteered at events such as the Winter Glow Spectacular and the Spokane Valley
City Christmas Tree lighting, playing his trombone serving as the entertainment for these
events. Through volunteering at these events he deepened his connection with the community
through music.
Daden will attend Texas Christian University in Fort Worth in the fall where he was awarded the
Dean’s Scholarship for Academics, and plans to walk-on for track and field. He plans to major in
Mechanical Engineering with a minor in music performance.
ROGERS
2025
Hayley Ying

Hayley Ying has a 4.367 GPA and is the daughter of John and Laura Ying. Hayley is a member of volleyball, basketball, track, and National Honor Society. Hayley has earned 9 varsity letters: 3 in volleyball, 3 in basketball, and 3 in track. Hayley has been named the SWX Athlete of the Week as well as being named a Spokane Scholar for Science. In addition to her in school accolades, Hayley Ying also volunteers at the Peace and Justice League of Spokane, the Union Gospel Mission, and at her church.
Hayley intends to major in psychology at Wellesley College on a Questbridge, full ride scholarship.
DANIEL RODRIGUEZ VILLARREAL

Daniel Rodriguez Villarreal has a 3.921 GPA and is the son of Daniel Rodrigues Islas and Ana Rosa Montoya. Daniel is a member of cross country, track, National Honors Society, Jazz Band, Band, College Success Foundation, and took Running Star Classes. Daniel Rodiguez earned 7 varsity letters; 4 in cross country and 3 in track. Daniel Rodriguez was a 2 time 1st Team all GSL honoree and represented Rogers at state cross country on 2 occasions. In addition to his school accolades, Daniel Rodriguez Villarreal volunteers at St. Joseph’s as a teacher assistance and translator, at SPS elementary cross country races, wit the Sisters of Missionary Charities, and has completed over 150 hours of community service through his high school career. Daniel Rodriguez intends to study accounting at either Pacific Lutheran University or Gonzaga University in the fall.

JOSIE AnselmO

Josie has a 3.8 GPA and is the daughter of Tony and Janet Anselmo. At Shadle Park, Josie is
involved in leadership, Groovy shoes, Track and Field (Both outdoor, and through Spokane
Speed Academy), and cheerleading.
Josie has earned 9 varsity letters throughout her high school career. 2 in gymnastics, 3 in cheer,
and 4 in track and field. Freshman year, she received the awards of most valuable in gymnastics
and newcomer of the year in track and field. Her participation in cheerleading has made a
positive impact on the team throughout the three years. In 2022, she was 2 nd in the GSL, and 3 rd
in 2A state for track and field in pole vault. In 2023 & 2024, she was 1 st in the GSL and the State
Champion in Pole vault. She will finish her senior year on Track and field, chasing hopefully
another high placement among the 3A level of competition.
Josie has volunteered at various events at Shadle. She's contributed to the craft fair, put on by
the Booster club, by volunteering time with set-up and take down. She has also volunteered at
local elementary school events, feeder school involvement, and fundraising, including the
Daddy Daughter dance put on by Shadle’s cheer team, as well as the youth kids clinic, where
the cheer squad teaches young kids to cheer at the basketball game. She's always willing to
spend her time helping the community.
Josie will attend Eastern Washington University next year to continue her academic and athletic
career in track and field. She intends to study business in sports management.
Carson Eickstadt

Carson Eickstadt has a 4.25 weighted GPA and is the son of Chris and Krissy Eickstadt. Carson participated in Football, Basketball and Track, is a member of the national honor society, and is the 2025 Senior Class President and a Sports Medicine Club member. Carson Eickstadt earned 10 varsity letters: 4 in football, 4 in basketball, and 2 in
Track. He was a 2-time First Team all GSL Offensive Linemen, was awarded honorable mention Defensive Linemen 2 times, and 1 time honorable mention basketball. Carson was also a team captain on both the Football and Basketball teams this year, as well as being voted most inspirational the last two years b his basketball teammates. Carson did track for the first time in his junior year and made it to districts placing 4th in discus, 5th in shotput, and 6th in javelin. He is improving this year hoping to make a state run for his senior year. Carson helps volunteer at many Shadle Park events. Such as Shadle Park Booster club, Feeder Pattern school events, and programs such as the Shadle Park Craft Fair, and many Leadership Events. Carson has also been heavily involved, and is currently the student lead, on Shadle Park’s All-Athlete awards night to celebrate athletes from every sports program, coordinating the majority of the events details. Carson Eickstadt will attend Carroll College where he has been awarded merit and athletic scholarships to continue his Football career. He intends to study Civil Engineering.

LIBBY ROBERTS

Libby Roberts, the daughter of Kevin and Cami Roberts, maintains a 3.876 GPA while actively
participating in various leadership and mentorship roles. She is a dedicated member of the
National Honor Society, Leadership, and serves as a mentor for Special Education students. In
addition to her academic achievements, Libby has excelled in athletics, earning four varsity
letters in both cross country and wrestling. She is currently a key competitor on her high school’s
top-ranked relay team for track and field.
Libby’s wrestling accomplishments are remarkable, earning her recognition as the 2024 Metro
Female Wrestler of the Year. She has been named Greater Spokane League (GSL) Wrestler of
the Year four times and has made the GSL First Team for wrestling each year of her high school
career. Among her many accolades, she is a two-time Iron Man Champion, a National Federation
High School Champion, and a four-time district, regional, and state wrestling champion. With an
outstanding record of 95-3 against female opponents, she has proven herself as one of the top
wrestlers in the nation. In addition to her wrestling success, Libby has been named Second Team
GSL in cross country and is a three-time state qualifier in the sport.
On the national stage, Libby has consistently competed at an elite level. She placed seventh in
U17 Nationals in 2021 and was the U14 National Runner-Up that same year. In 2022, she
finished third in her division, followed by a National Runner-Up title in 2023. Most recently, she
placed fourth in both the 2023 and 2024 U17 Women's Nationals. She has also competed in the
High School Showcase, placing eighth in 2022, seventh in 2023, and finishing as the runner-up
in 2024.
Beyond her own athletic pursuits, Libby is dedicated to giving back to the community. She
volunteers at Prometheus Wrestling Club, working with young wrestlers, and actively supports
Special Needs students through the Unified Sports Program. Next year, she will continue her
wrestling career at the collegiate level while pursuing a degree in Health Sciences. With
aspirations of becoming an athletic trainer, Libby hopes to work with college athletes, combining
her passion for sports with her commitment to helping others succeed.
Ryan Sulpizio

Ryan Sulpizio has a 3.99 GPA and is the son of Scott and Katie Sulpizio Ryan is a member of the national
honor society and the sportsmanship committee at U-high.
Ryan earned 9 varsity letters; 2 in football, 3 in wrestling, and 4 in track. In football, this year he was a
team captain and earned 2 nd team GSL all-league honors for offensive line. In wrestling, he was a two
year team captain and this year he earned 1 st team GSL all league honors and placed 8 th at state in the
285 weight class (while weighing 197).
Ryan volunteers at his church, Millwood Presbyterian. This includes going on two mission trips to the
small island of Kake, Alaska. While there he helped put on a Vacation Bible School and assisted with
various community projects. Ryan also helps with coaching for the Prometheus Wrestling Club.
Ryan is undecided on what university he will attend next year, but he plans to participate in either
wrestling or track while earning an engineering or biology degree.
WEST VALLEY
2025
Macy Osborn

Macy Osborn has a 4.0 GPA and is the daughter of Neil and Tiffany Osborn. She has taken 10
AP courses and is the Valedictorian of her class. Macy is the National Honor Society Historian
and Associated Student Body Activities Coordinator. She has served as a member of the
Superintendent’s Student Advisory Board, as a Link Crew Leader and as a Communities in
Schools mentor.
Macy has earned 10 varsity letters; 4 in volleyball, 2 in basketball, and 4 in Track and Field. As
the captain of the volleyball and basketball teams she has totaled 4 all-league honorable
mentions, one second team award, and a WIAA state sportsmanship award.
Macy has totaled over 300 service hours over the past few years where she has taught senior
fitness classes at Hillyard senior center, sewed over 200 masks for healthcare workers, been a
junior mentor for Millwood Impact, and coached kids basketball and volleyball camps. On
weeknights after practice, Macy volunteers at the Valley Hospital where she has amounted over
115 hours in the Labor and Delivery Unit.
Macy plans to attend Tulane University in the fall where she was admitted as a top scholar and
has received a close to full academic scholarship. She plans to study Cell and Molecular
Biology on the Pre-Medicine track to fulfil her dreams of becoming a doctor.
Andrew Royston

Andrew Royston has a 3.65 GPA, and is the son of Holly and Matt Royston. He has been a member of the football and wrestling team. He has earned 7 varsity letters; 4 in wrestling and 3 in football.
In football, Andrew is a 2 time 1st team all-league linebacker and a 2nd team all-league receiver
as a tight end. He received academic all-state recognition. He was a football team captain both
his junior and senior year.
In wrestling, he is a 2 time all league winner, three time state qualifier, and a state placer. He is
also a 2 time academic all state wrestler. and a 1 time academic all state football player. He was
a wrestling team captain his sophomore, junior, and senior year.
Andrew volunteers at Millwood Community Presbyterian Church and West Valley High School.
At the church he regularly helps lead worship services, helps in the sound and video booth,
works with children through ministry programs, assists in practical needs for older church
members, food distribution, and general upkeep of the church facilities. He has also participated
in mission service trips to rural Alaska. With the schools, Andrew has helped with freshman
orientation, Little Eagle’s Wrestling club (coaching and refereeing), and is regularly helping with
the Snack Shack!

Reagan Gibbons

Reagan Gibbons has a 4.0 GPA and is the daughter of Dan and Carey Gibbons. Reagan is a member of Choir, HOSA, National Honor Society, Theatre, Science Olympiad and is a four-year Bear Scholar. Reagan has lettered in Choir and National Honor Society. She currently is playing one of the leading roles in Central Valley’s performance of Nunsense. Reagan is a four-year letter winner in Cheerleading; a three-year letter winner in gymnastics and a two-year letter winner in Track and Field. She was recognized in gymnastics as Central Valley’s winter NECA/IBEW student-athlete. Reagan volunteers as a guide for Ignite, CV’s freshmen orientation program, Bears and Blankets, at West Valley Early Learning Center as a classroom helper, and numerous other community service activities associated with her participation in Cheer, National Honor Society and gymnastics. Reagan will be Pre-Medicine and majoring in Biology and Health Sciences at Washington State University next year, where she is a Regents Scholar and WSU Top Scholar in the WSU Honors College.

Danner Smith has a 3.97 GPA and is the son of Bradly and Megan Smith. Danner is a member of National Honor Society, Leadership and a Partner with Unified Basketball. Danner is a three-year letter winner in Football and a 2nd Team All GSL selection as a senior. He is a three-year letter winner in Wrestling; As a sophomore, he was the Regional Champion in his weight class and placed 8th at state; As a Junior, he was 1st Team All-GSL, repeated as Regional Champion and placed 7th at State; In Track and Field, he is a four-year letter winner as well as a Junior Olympics National Decathlon qualifier. Danner has volunteered for the Police Athletic League during the summer for four years. He also volunteers with children’s ministry at Valley Real Life Church. He has participated in numerous community service events during his high school career through his participation in Leadership and National Honor Society. Next year, Danner plans on attending the United States Airforce Academy, or participating in Army ROTC at Gonzaga University or University of Idaho.

Joy Assonken has a 3.921 GPA and is the daughter of Blondel and Sandrine Assonken. Joy is a member of FBLA and placed 4th in Nationals and received the WA STEM Rising Star Award. Joy has earned 8 varsity letters, 4 in volleyball and 4 in track & field. She received GSL Honorable Mention her junior year and Senior year GSL 2-team all league. 3 years in arrow team MVP Volleyball and Cheney all time kill leader. In the Fall of 2023, she received the NECA/IBEW Award as well as the 2023 State qualifier track and field for the Javelin. Joy volunteers for her church doing outreach projects, child care, food drives, clothing drives and she has been on multiple mission trips providing lots of support for people in need. Joy is going to attend a 4 year University but she has not picked the lucky university yet.
EVAN STINSON

Evan Stinson has a 3.981 GPA and is the son of Mark & Amy Stinson. Evan has been on multiple high level traveling AAU teams and lives basketball. Evan has earned 6 varsity letters, 3 in basketball and 3 in golf. He received two 1st-team GSL all leagues, GSL scoring Champion for 2023-2024, 3 time Cheney Basketball MVP and in his career scored 1,119 points. In the Winter of 2023, he received the NECA/IBEW Award. Evan has volunteered for Cheney youth basketball camps where he has made a huge impact. Evan will attend Stanford University where he was awarded a basketball scholarship and is very excited to play in the ACC.

ELOISE TEASLEY

Eloise Teasley has a 3.967 GPA and is the daughter of Michelle and Rob Teasley. Eloise is a member of many sports and clubs at Clarkston High school. She is the treasurer of National honors society for two years now. She is also the secretary of the Exec board. Eloise has also been involved in ASB since the 8th grade.
Eloise has earned 12 varsity letters. 4 in soccer, 4 in basketball, 2 in golf, and 2 in tennis. In soccer Eloise was a captain for her senior year she also has been on the second team for two years, and was first team all league for her senior year. She also received the toughness award her senior year and the most improved her sophomore year out of her team. Eloise was a captain for basketball her senior year, she was honorable mention her sophomore year and 1st team all league for her junior and senior year. She also was voted Most valuable player her junior year and best defensive player her senior year on her team. Sophomore year she also won MVP for the avista tournament. sophomore year Eloise went to state for golf and was second team all league. Eloise was the greater Spokane league fall 2023 student athlete. Eloise has also received the academic letter award for all 4 years of high school.
Eloise has volunteered multiple hours volunteering within her community. She has helped decorate for school events and dances. She is also involved in 4H and spends time outside of school volunteering at the Asotin County Fairgrounds.
Eloise will attend Lewis and Clark State College in the fall to pursue a degree in radiographic imaging to become a Ct and X-ray technician.
Bodee Thivierge

Bodee Thivierge has a 3.6 GPA and is the son of Corey and Jaime Thivierge. Bodee has earned 10 varsity letters; 3 in football, 4 in wrestling, and 3 in baseball. He received second team in wrestling 3 times and second team in baseball 1 time. He has participated in state for football, wrestling, and baseball. He is a recipient of the National Wrestling Coaches Association & The United States Marine Corps High School All American Award as well as the GSL Winter 2023-2024 Student Athlete Bodee volunteers at Asotin County Little League. He helps out by umpiring games. He also volunteers at Hells Canyon Wrestling as a little guys wrestling coach. Bodee is undecided on where he wants to go to college. He wants to be an electrician.

Logan Hofstee

Logan Hofstee has a 4.0 GPA and is the daughter of Brett and Anita Hofstee. She was named a Spokane Scholar in Science, earned the fall semester NECA-IBEW award sophomore year, and is a 2024 valedictorian.
She has earned 9 varsity letters: 4 in cross country, 4 in track & field, and 1 in basketball. Throughout her cross country career, she has earned first-team All-GSL and All-State recognition three times, placed first at Districts three consecutive years, was the 2A State runner up sophomore year and State Champion junior and senior year, won Nike Hole in the Wall senior year, placed 6th at Nike Cross Nationals in 2021 and second in 2022 and 2023, qualifying for Nike Cross Nationals. At nationals, she placed 38th her junior year and improved to finish 9th in 2023, earning All-American honors. In 2023, her team won both the GSL and District title, going on to finish 7th at State. To cap off her senior year, she was named Washington’s Gatorade Cross Country Girl’s Player of the Year. In track & field, she earned two honorable mentions and a second-team All-GSL recognition as a freshman. She also earned two first-team All-GSL recognitions sophomore year, was the District and Regional champion in the 1600m and 3200m, and finished 3rd at state in both events. She has been a part of three consecutive GSL team titles, and in 2023 the Knights went on to become District Champions as well.
Logan also volunteers for the cross country and track & field team and at Opportunity Elementary. She has volunteered at the Spokane Marathon multiple times, Coeur d’Alene Ironman, the Rapid Rabbit Run, school concessions, middle school track meets, and helps teachers in the summertime prepare for the new school year.
She will attend Gonzaga University on academic and cross country and track & field scholarships, undecided on a major.
Devin Pierce

Devin Pierce has a 3.4 GPA and is the son of Aaron and Andrea Pierce. Devin Pierce is the president of East Valley High School national honor society, and a member of East Valley High School Health Occupations Students of America club.
Devin Pierce earned 10 varsity letters; 4 in wrestling, 3 in soccer and 2 in cross country and 1 in tennis. In wrestling Devin is a three-time state qualifier with a 3rd place finish last year. Devin earned first team All-GSL awards for his junior and senior years. Devin earned WCWCA Academic All-State Honorable Mention for wrestling and the All-State Regional Award for wrestling. Devin has been captain of his wrestling team for 2 years, soccer team for 2 years and tennis team for 1 year.
Devin Pierce volunteers at East Valley Middle School helping the wrestling team, Bloomsday, Spokane Valleyfest, Otis Orchards Elementary fundraising events, and 2nd Harvest Food Bank. Devin Pierce will attend Eastern Oregon University where he has been awarded both wrestling and academic scholarships. Devin will participate in the pre-optometry program at Eastern Oregon University.

Elise Davis has a 3.953 GPA and is the daughter of Sarah Lynch and Joseph Davis. She is an honor society member and has taken 4 years of Spanish, and AP courses. Elise is involved in ASB and is Ferris High School’s outgoing ASB president for the 2023-2024 school year.
Elise earned ten varsity letters; 4 in soccer and 6 in cheer. In soccer she was 2nd Team defense All GSL her senior year. She was a team captain her junior and senior seasons and selected by her teammates as MVP when she was a sophomore and was most inspirational in her junior and senior seasons. She helped her cheer team win a coed state championship and placed 5th at nationals this year.
Elise has also been actively involved in early childhood development program where she, along with a certified teacher at Ferris, helps teach early childhood education and learning skills to preschoolers. She helped coordinate “Freezin’ for a Reason” raising over $1,000 for the 2nd Harvest food bank.
Elise plans to attend the University of Arizona having received a scholarship and plans to major in Child Development.
DYLAN SKAIFE

Dylan Skaife has a 3.9783 GPA and is the son of Janet and Jerry Skaife. He has taken AP classes and has been a running start student as well.
Dylan earned four varsity letters: all in basketball. Dylan was the captain of the basketball team in his junior and senior seasons. He was an all-league honorable mention as a sophomore, and first team all-league player his junior and senior seasons. He scored over 1,000 points in his high school career. Dylan has been a varsity golfer for three seasons as well.
Dylan volunteers as part of our early childhood development class. He, along with a certified teacher here at Ferris, teach early childhood education learning and skills to preschoolers. He has been a part of leading and running the Ferris High School youth summer camps for the last 3 years, 2 as an assistant head coach and this last year as the head coach.
Dylan will attend Lewis-Clark State College next year and is planning to major in Business administration.

KAITLIN KELLY

Kaitlin Kelly has a 4.0 GPA and is the daughter of Amy and Jeff Kelly. Kaitlin is a member of the national honor society, leader on the Campus Ministry team, Vice President of Communications, President of the women’s service group Adelphia, and team captain of the track and cross country teams.
Kaitlin has earned 10 varsity letters; 4 in cross country, 3 in track, and 3 in Irish Dance. In cross country, she has qualified for districts 3 times, and their team won the Academic State Championships this past season. In track, she qualified to run the 800m at districts last year. In Irish dance, she competes at the Open Championship level, and has qualified for the Western Regional competition 7 times, with her highest placement being 13th. She has also qualified for the North American Championships 5 times, with her highest placement being 40th, and has competed internationally at the All Ireland’s Championships in Killarney. In addition, she was recently named the Irish Colleen of the Year in Spokane for her commitment to Irish Dance.
Kaitlin volunteers at All Saints Catholic School’s Homework Club, as well as many locations across Spokane through Adelphia, including Bite2go, the Immaculate Retreat Center, and local school events. She also took part in the Margins program, studying social injustices throughout Spokane, which culminated in an immersion trip to New Orleans where she volunteered and worked hands-on with many different organizations throughout Louisiana.
RYAN JACKSON

Ryan Jackson has a 3.96 GPA and is the son of Alex and Courtney Jackson. Ryan is a member of the national honor society and an ASB Senior Representative.
Ryan has earned 7 varsity letters; 3 in football, 2 in basketball, and 2 in track. In football, Ryan was 1st team all GSL and 1st team all state as well as the GSL leader in interceptions his junior year. Ryan was a 2 time GSL football champion. In basketball, Ryan was a 2 time district champion as well as a 4th place finisher at state. Ryan also serves as part of the Gonzaga Prep Coaches Council.
Ryan volunteers at Second Harvest Food Bank where he sorts and packages food and supplies to be shipped off to those in need. He also volunteers at Gonzaga Prep helping host youth football camps and as an admissions ambassador, speaking with incoming students. Ryan also works a couple nights a week as a dinner server at Rockwood Lane Retirement Community.
Ryan will attend either the University of Washington or the University of Florida and plans to study either finance or pre-law.

SOPHIA ALFARO

Sofia Alfaro has a 4.43 GPA and is the daughter of Martin and Pam Alfaro. Sofia is a member of National Honor Society, Key Club, Leadership Class, is the Lewis & Clark ASB Treasurer as well as the Class of 2024 Secretary.
Sofia earned 4 varsity letters in Girls Soccer at Lewis & Clark. She earned honorable mention All-GSL during her freshman year and earned 2nd team All-GSL during both her junior and senior year. Sofia was captain of the Varsity Soccer Team both her junior and senior years. She is most proud of being voted Most Inspirational by her teammates during her senior year!
Sofia enjoys her time volunteering for the Nonprofit Organization Generation Alive and being part of their student leadership team. She also regularly volunteers at 2nd Harvest Food Bank.
Sofia is looking forward to studying nursing at Boise State University where she was awarded the WUE and Honors Program Scholarships. Though she will not be pursuing soccer in college, she looks forward to playing on Boise States club team to keep her love for the game alive.
Bridger Cloninger

Bridger has a 4.6 GPA and is the son of Blake and Karen Cloninger. Bridger is a member of the football, wrestling, and tennis teams, as well as Knowledge, History, Civics, and Quiz Bowl.
Bridger has earned 11 varsity athletic letters; 3 in football, 4 in wrestling and 4 in tennis. Bridger was the captain of the football team and the wrestling team. He has been selected All City for football, wrestling, and tennis, and is a two-time district and regional champion and two-time state placer for wrestling.
Bridger has volunteered for Great Harvest Foods and he volunteers at JV football games, and JV wrestling tournaments at the Lewis and Clark gym and at Hart Field. He enjoys seeing himself in the younger players and hopes to see them grow to surpass his own performance and improve LC athletics as a whole.
Bridger will attend the United States Military Academy at West Point. He intends to wrestle and study pre-law (JAG).

TERYN GARDNER

Teryn Gardner has a 4.0 GPA and is the daughter of Larry and Kelli Gardner. She is a member of the National Honor Society and has served two years on the national award-winning Mead High School Yearbook staff culminating as their Sports Editor throughout her senior year. She has taken five Advanced Placement and six honors courses.
Teryn earned 12 varsity letters; 4 in basketball, 4 in soccer, and will finish with 4 in track. In basketball, Teryn was recently selected at the 2024 Washington State Girls Basketball Coaches Association (WSGBCA) 3A Player of the Year. She is a 2x GSL MVP, a 2x WIAA First Team All-State selection, a 2x WIAA First Team All-Tournament selectee, was the 2024 GSL co-defensive player of the year, and was the leading scorer for the 2023 State Tournament and 3A/4A GSL conference. Additionally, she has earned 1st Team 3A/4A All-GSL as a sophomore and 2nd Team 3A/4A All-GSL as a freshman while leading her team to a perfect 27-0 GSL record with three consecutive GSL championships and three consecutive District 8 championships. Her Mead Panthers also entered the 3A State Tournament with two #1 seedings finishing with 5th, 3rd, and 2nd place trophies these past three seasons. Teryn has been a 3x team Captain since her Sophomore year, has scored 1,568 career points, and has an overall high school basketball record of 80 wins and 11 losses. Last month, Teryn was selected to participate in the 2024 WSGBCA Senior All-State 3A vs 4A Game and earned MVP honors with a 3A victory over the 4A All-Stars.
In soccer, Teryn has earned Second Team WIAA All-State her senior year and Honorable Mention WIAA All-State her junior year. She led her team to a District 8 Championship and Elite-8 State 3A finish this past season along with a 2nd Place District 8 trophy and Sweet-16 State 3A finish her junior year. Teryn earned 1st Team 3A/4A All-GSL honors her junior year and 2nd Team 3A/4A All-GSL honors in both her Sophomore and Senior seasons. Teryn has been a 2x Team Captain, was co-GSL leading goal scorer her junior season, and finished her high school soccer career with 44 goals scored to include 3 hat tricks.
In track, Teryn and her teammates won the 3A State Championship in the 4x400m relay her junior year, were 3rd her sophomore year. Individually, she has placed 4th in the 800m at the WA 3A State Championships. Overall, Teryn and her teammates are 2x 3A/4A GSL Champions, 2x District 8 Champions, and earned a 4th place trophy last year at the 3A State Championships.
Teryn has volunteered as a referee for unified basketball and has spent countless hours editing and producing hype videos for Mead High School sports and their social media platforms.
Teryn will attend Boise State University next fall on a Division 1 Basketball scholarship. She is currently undecided on a major area of study.
MADDEN RAAB

Madden Raab has a 4.0 GPA and is the son of Matt and Rachel Raab. He is a Class Valedictorian, a member of the National Honor Society and the Panther Football Leadership Council.
Madden earned 7 varsity letters: 4 in football and 3 in Basketball.
In Football, Madden received the Football Coaches Award for the 2021 season. He received the Captains Award for the 2023 season. He is also 2nd Team All GSL for the 2023 season. He was awarded the Fall Blue and Gold Mead High School Athlete of the Season.
In Basketball for the 2023-2024 season, he was voted Team Captain, Defensive MVP and Most Inspirational. He also received the NECA/IBEW GSL Scholar Athlete Award.
Madden volunteers as a leader of his church youth group where he plans activities and lessons, and serves as a referee for church athletics. He also helps provide services to elderly patrons of his church.
Madden will attend Brigham Young University where he was awarded an academic scholarship. He plans to major in Actuarial Science with a minor in Sports Administration.
MT. SPOKANE

CASSIE JOY

Cassie Jay has a 4.0 GPA and is the daughter of Brent and Allyson Jay. She is a member of National Honor Society, FCA, Link Crew and DECA; where she has competed at the State level her Sophomore, Junior, and Senior Year.
Cassie earned 6 varsity letters: three in Slowpitch Softball and three in Fastpitch Softball. In slowpitch she was All GSL Honorable mention her senior year while her team earned 2023 GSL Slowpitch Championship and were the 2023 2A/3A Slowpitch State Champions. In Fastpitch she was named All GSL Honorable mention her sophomore year, 1st Team all GSL her junior year and her team was 2023 GSL Fastpitch Champs and placed 4th at state in 2023.
Cassie has participated in several community projects through both DECA and National Honor Society in addition to volunteering at several softball youth camps, tutoring students and participating in Freshman Orientation night.
Cassie will be attending California Lutheran University where she was awarded the Founders Scholarship for her academic achievements. She will also be continuing to play softball while studying Sports Management.
BODEN GARDNER

Boden Gardner has a 3.77 GPA and is the son of Brian and Angie Gardner. Boden is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Link Crew.
Boden earned 7 varsity letters; 2 in football, 2 in basketball and 3 in track. In football as a junior he was 1st team all GSL wide received and voted team MVP as the team also were GSL Champs and top 16 at state. As a senior he was the GSL MVP All Purpose Player, an All State Wide Receiver, SB Live Washington All State Wide Receiver, News Tribune All State All Purpose and again voted team MVP while the team finished in the top 16 again. In basketball as a senior he was all GSL Honorable Mention, Prep Hoops Washington State All-Tournament Team, Eli Sports Network State All-Tournament team and participated in Spokesman-Review All Star Basketball Showcase. His basketball team finished 3rd in State both Junior and Senior Year. As a sophomore in track he was on the state championship 4 x 400m relay, 4 x 100 relay placed 6th, placed 5th in 400m and placed 8th in the 200m. As a junior he was a state champion again in the 4 x 400m relay establishing a new State Record and individually placed 2nd in the 400m while the place 2nd at state.
Boden has been volunteering with the Cats Leadership group the past 3 years. The group goes around the community and helps senior citizens with yard work. They have also volunteered at Bite2Go.
Boden will be playing football at Eastern Washington University where he intends to pursue a degree in Education.
NORTH CENTRAL

Marlee Schoeffler

Marlee Schoeffler (“Chef”ler) has a 4.45 weighted GPA and is the daughter of John and Angie Schoeffler. Marlee is a member of DECA, where she was a State qualifier in 2023 in Advertising Campaign, a State and National qualifier in 2024 in Professional Sales and she received a perfect score of 100 points in Professional Sales at State in 2024. Marlee is also a Spokane Scholar in World Languages and is currently working toward her Seal of Biliteracy (English/Spanish).
Marlee earned 8 varsity letters; 1 in cross country, 4 in basketball, and 3 in track and field. In cross country, this was her first year participating as a senior. In basketball, she was a 4-year letterman, 3-year starter, team captain, and received team awards for her work ethic. In track and field, as a sophomore, she was Honorable Mention All-GSL, and a State qualifier, placing 13th in the triple jump. As a junior, she was Honorable Mention All-GSL in the long jump and triple jump. As a senior, she was the SWX Athlete of the Week.
Marlee has volunteered at Gonzaga Family Haven where she led and facilitated the activities with the kids. She volunteered with the Ronald McDonald House of Charities and organized and planned team bonding activities with the girls’ basketball team in and out of season.
Marlee will attend the University of Washington where she plans to study Business and Marketing or Journalism.
TOMMY ELLIOTT

Tommy Elliott has a 4.439 weighted GPA and is the son of Tom and Jenny Elliott. Tommy is a member of the national honor society, leadership, a Spokane Scholar in Science, AP Scholar of Distinction, participated in Students on the Hill, Civics Bowl, is a musician – playing the viola for 8 years, and Science Fair Club and SkillsUSA Biomedical Club member. Tommy has participated in three research projects (1) Analyzing potential drought-tolerant, plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGBR)as inoculums to enhance maize growth in semi-arid Spokane, WA; (2) Using eDNA to monitor Chinook Salmon Presence in the Little Spokane River, and (3) Effects of Work Stress on Gut Microbiota in Nurses After 12-Hour Shifts Compared to Nurses After a Full Day’s Rest. Tommy has also earned his Seal of Biliteracy (English/Spanish).
Tommy earned 10 varsity letters; 4 in football, 3 in wrestling, and 3 in baseball. In football, as a sophomore, he received 2nd Team Defense – Defensive Back – All-GSL. As a senior, he was team captain and received 2nd Team Defense- Linebacker – All-GSL. In wrestling, as a sophomore, he was a State alternate and a State qualifier his junior year. As a senior, he was captain, SWX Student Athlete of the Week, 1st Team All-GSL and placed 5th at State. In baseball, he is a 3-year letterman and has received team awards every year for his leadership and work ethic.
Tommy has volunteered at 2nd Harvest, Tom’s Turkey Drive, and Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. He has also been the chairman with NC Leadership for the Veteran’s Day and Red/Black Convocations, Hat and Glove Drives, Food and Necessities Drives, Field Day, Ronald McDonald House of Charity, Teacher Appreciation Week, and a Groovy Shoes Board Member for two years. Tommy also volunteers with middle school wrestling programs and participated in the Out of Darkness Walk.
Tommy will attend the University of Chicago where he is the recipient of the QuestBridge National College Match Scholarship (full ride – 4-year scholarship) and is an Odyssey Scholar. Tommy plans to study Medicine/Pre-Med to become an orthopedic surgeon.

SOPHIE ARMSTRONG

Sophie Armstrong has a 3.97 GPA and is the daughter of Jessie and Mike Armstrong. Sophie Armstrong is a member of the national Society of High School Scholars, a member of the PHS orchestra and participates in Key Club and JSA.
Sophie Armstrong earned 11 varsity letters; 4 in volleyball, 3 in basketball and 4 in softball. In volleyball she was awarded one second team all league award, two first team all league awards and one all-state honorable mention. In basketball she received one all league honorable mention.
Sophie Armstrong will attend Wenatchee Valley College where she was awarded an athletic scholarship for Volleyball and plans to major in electrical engineering.
ALEX BICKELHAUPT

Alex Bickelhaupt has a 4.0 GPA and is the son of Jon and Staci Bickelhaupt. Alex is a member of the Spirit and Asian American and Pacific Islander clubs.
Alex earned five varsity letters; two in football, two in basketball, and one in baseball. He was a three time state participant in basketball placing second and third in his sophomore and junior years respectively.
Alex volunteered at the Palouse Cougars Summer Slam Camp. He looked to spread his love for basketball to a younger generation.
Alex will attend either Oregon State University or The University of Wisconsin-Madison. He will study nuclear engineering.

Maddie Hutyler

Maddie Hutyler has a 4.0 GPA and is the daughter of Luke and Amanda Hutyler. She has been a member of the national honor society and participated in multiple school spirit dance competitions.
Maddie earned 8 varsity letters; 4 in cross country, 1 in gymnastics, and 3 in track. In cross country she earned the Ridgeline Coaches Award and the Ridgeline B.I.G. (belong, inspire, grow) Award. In track Maddie earned the Ridgeline Girls Distance Award and the Distance Runner of the Year Award. In 2022 she went to the Washington State Championship Track Meet as an alternate for the 4×400 meter relay. As a senior, Maddie was elected as the team captain for cross country and for track.
Maddie has volunteered at local road races, Liberty Creek Elementary, and Liberty Lake Children’s Academy. She loved handing water cups to runners in the Spokane Marathon, watching them achieve their dreams. She also spent her time helping out at school bingo nights, school book fairs, and in a preschool classroom. Maddie is glad to have spent time giving back to the community in spaces that bring her joy.
Maddie will attend Spokane Falls Community College where she will continue her cross country and track career. Her major is undecided.
Zander Palm

Zander Palm has a 4.0 GPA, having taken nine AP courses, and is the son of Brian and Danielle. Zander is a member of the National Honor Society, the Junior Statesmen of America, the Ridgeline High School Wind Ensemble, the Gang Green Pep Band, and captain of the varsity Knowledge Bowl team.
Zander earned ten varsity letters; four in tennis, two in band, and four in knowledge bowl. He was an All GSL honorable mention in tennis, playing as a starter all four years. Zander was also a starter on the Knowledge Bowl team in 2023 that earned Ridgeline’s first ever state championship.
Zander enjoys providing free tennis lessons to local students to bolster interest in the sport and expand Ridgeline’s future tennis programs. He also volunteered at the community library to encourage young children to love reading.
Zander will attend the University of Washington in Seattle, where he will study physics. He hopes to pursue advanced post-graduate degrees and a career in astrophysics.

EMILY PEABODY

Emily Peabody has a 4.0240 weighted GPA and is the daughter of Nathan & Christa Peabody. Emily is a member of National Honor Society and ASB Leadership.
Emily Peabody has earned 11 varsity letters: 4 in soccer, 3 in basketball, 2 in track, and 2 in tennis. Emily has been named to the 1st Team All-GSL twice (once in basketball and once in track) and 2nd team All-GSL twice (once in basketball and once in soccer). Emily was part of the state championship 4x100m relay team in 2023, took 3rd at state in the 4×200, and 8th at state in the 400m. Emily Peabody also holds the GSL girls basketball single game scoring record with 51 points and holds the Rogers single season scoring record with 481 points scored in 2023-24.
Emily Peabody has volunteered at Revival feeding the homeless in downtown Spokane, been on the work crew for UGM camp, and helped raise money for the Medical Lake community following the Gray Fire in 2023.
Emily Peabody is still fielding offers on where she will attend college to play basketball.
HARTMAN WARRICK

Hartman Warrick has a 2.7370 GPA and his guardians are Madie & Andrew Kissinger. Hartman serves as the ASB President, is a member of Leadership, and the Black Student Union.
Hartman Warrick has earned 9 varsity letters; 3 in football, 3 in basketball, and 3 in track. Hartman has been named the 2nd team All-GSL in football and track and Honorable Mention in basketball and football.
Hartman Warrick has volunteered for numerous groups in the community including the Christmas Bureau, Middle School Basketball Championships, The Hillyard Craft Fair, Native American Pow Wow, as well as visiting local elementary schools on several occasions.
Hartman Warrick is undecided on where he plans to attend college, but plans on majoring in Education to one day become a teacher.
SHADLE PARK
2024
Abigail Flerchinger

Abigail has a high school GPA of 3.73 and is the daughter of Kevin and Kirsten Flerchinger. She has made honor roll all 4 years, is involved in DECA store operations and management, advanced level sports medicine, and other various leadership roles at Shadle Park.
Abbey has earned eight varsity letters: four in volleyball, two in fastpitch softball, and two in track and field.
Abbey spent her freshman and sophomore year as a starter in fastpitch softball, where she earned First Team All-League honors both years. In her time as a fastpitch player she helped the team win the 2A East Region Championship, a Greater Spokane League and District championship, and a top 10 finish at the State tournament. Her junior year, Abbey decided to try something new and transitioned from fastpitch softball to track and field. She found success in field events. In the triple jump, Abbey finished top 3 in multiple GSL meets, 4th in Districts and 3rd at Regionals. Where she really excelled was the javelin, where she learned how to “throw the stick” and earned 1st place in multiple GSL meets, 1st at Districts, 1st at Regionals, and a 9th place finish at state. Additionally, her track team earned the honor of 2023 Spring WIAA Academic State Champions.
In Volleyball, she is a 4-year starter, who earned Second Team All-League her freshman year and continued on to become a three-time First Team All-League athlete her Sophomore through Senior year, including GSL Player of the Year both her Junior and Senior year. In addition to being the Team Captain and MVP her Junior and Senior year, she helped lead the team to multiple district titles and two state appearances where they placed in the top ten. Furthermore, Abbey achieved the milestone of 1,000 career kills…finishing with a total of 1,045 in her time at Shadle Park. Abbey was also named WIAA athlete of the week for week 8, American Volleyball Coaches Association top 10 player in our region, second team All-State her Junior Year, and First Team All-State her Senior Year.
Abbey has volunteered in multiple areas for the last 8 years including Ronald McDonald House serving children and families, Catholic Charities assisting the elderly and disabled with yard work, Comcast Cares packing bags for the homeless and making blankets, as well as working with youth sports athletes in a variety of camps and clinics throughout the Spokane area. She also has a passion for helping animals and currently has an opportunity to volunteer with an animal sanctuary.
Abbey will attend College of Idaho to play volleyball, where she was awarded a full tuition scholarship in combination of academics and athletics. She intends to obtain a degree in Psychology and Forensics.
LIAM NEWELL

Liam Newell has a 3.91 GPA and is the son of Douglas and Kyrstin Newell. Liam is a member of the National Honors Society, as well as the elected “spirit potty”, a student who exhibits school spirit and pride, over and above normal. Liam is also an active member of the school leadership team and has been a part of numerous school activities.
Liam earned 4 varsity letters; 1 in football and 3 in track. In track, Liam earned 1st-Team All-GSL Honors in the 300 meter hurdles, 2nd-Team All-GSL Honors in the 110 meter hurdles, and was 4th in the State Championships for the 2A 300 meter hurdles. Liam was also a member of the Shadle Park Track and Field team that was 2A State Academic Champions in 2023.
Liam has volunteered at various school events such as the local Craft Fair that has been hosted by Shadle, Chili Bingo Night at Westview Elementary school, and freshman orientations. Liam has also volunteered at a local golf tournament at the Kalispel Golf course.
Liam will attend the University of Washington to study Aeronautical and Mechanical engineering.

NATALIE SINGER

Natalie Singer has attended University High School all four years and has attained a 3.993 GPA. She is the daughter of Brian and Brandy Singer. Natalie is a 4-year member of the National Honor Society. During her time in High School, she has taken 6 AP classes. Natalie took Bio-Medical classes all four years of high school and completed the requirements for the AP Seminar and Research Certificate program at University High School which will culminate in achieving a Capstone diploma.
In addition to her academic pursuits, Natalie has excelled in the realm of athletics. With eight varsity letters under her belt—four each in slow-pitch and fast-pitch softball—she has displayed her talent and dedication on the field. Natalie has earned prestigious accolades such as four-time 1st Team All Greater Spokane League (GSL) honors and one GSL Honorable Mention. She was voted Most Valuable Player Offence in 2022 by her teammates. Natalie’s contributions have been instrumental in the success of the University Softball teams, contributing to three GSL Championships, one Regional Championship, and two State Championships. Her outstanding performance has been recognize beyond her school, earning Athlete of the Week by the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association and Athlete of the Month by The Current (Greater Spokane Valley).
Natalie is very involved in her community. Through her participation in Youth Leadership Spokane, she has cultivated her leadership skills and deepened her understanding of community engagement. Natalie’s commitment to service is exemplified by her volunteer work with organizations such as Path of Hope Rescue, Spokane Valley Partners, and Gas House Softball Camps.
Looking ahead, Natalie will embark on the next chapter of her journey at Whitworth University. There, she will pursue her academic pursuits, majoring in BioChemistry, while continuing to contribute her talents on the Whitworth Pirates softball team.
Shane Skidmore

Shane Skidmore has a 4.0 GPA and is the salutatorian. He is the son of Shannan and Allen Skidmore. He is a four year Honors Society Member and has taken 10 AP classes along with Spanish 4, earning scores that make him an AP Scholar with Distinction. He took AP Calculus his sophomore year and then an online Multivariable Calculus course his junior year, which earned him University’s nomination as the Spokane Scholar for Mathematics.
Shane earned seven Varsity letters; three in football, three in basketball and one in tennis. He was 1st team GSL in football and basketball as a junior. As a senior an injury during football cut his season short. He recovered and earned first team all-GSL basketball honors this year. To cap his high school experience, he is playing tennis for the first time at University, leading his team as #1 singles player.
Outside of school, Shane runs his own lawn-mowing business. He started in seventh grade and grew his business from one lawn and a push-mower to 15 lawns, a zero-turn tractor, and 6×10 utility trailer purchased with his own money. Shane is also an Eagle Scout.
After high school, Shane is going to serve a two-year mission for his church in Honduras before attending college. He plans on either playing basketball at the University of Washington as a preferred walk-on, or attending BYU on a full tuition academic scholarship.
WEST VALLEY
2024
SPENCER CERENZIA

Spencer Cerenzia has attended West Valley High School the past four years while attaining a 4.0 GPA and becoming one of West Valleys Class of 2024 valedictorians. Spencer is the daughter of Adam and Nikki Cerenzia. During her time at West Valley Spencer has 3 AP classes along with many advanced math classes. Spencer has been a member of the advanced leadership class along with Link Crew the past two years. Along with her academic pursuits, Spencer has also made many accomplishments in the realm of athletics. Spencer has earned 3 varsity letters in volleyball along with 4 varsity letters in golf.
Spencer took on a leadership role in both volleyball and golf as captain. She has displayed her dedication and talent on the golf course earning her three 1st Team All Greater Spokane League honors. With her contribution to the golf team in 2023 her sister and her placed 2nd at 2A State. Individually Spencer placed 8th in 2023 at 2A state and 9th in 2022. Spencer has been very involved in the community the past four years. She has volunteered at the West Valley Volleyball Kids camp along with kids camp at Esmeralda Golf Course. Spencer has also spent many hours volunteering at St. Luke Lutheran Church.
Next year, Spencer will attend Eastern Washington University where she has been awarded a golf scholarship. At Eastern Spencer will be majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders.
TONY BELKO

Tony Belko has run cross country and track all 4 years of his high school career. He has lettered 7 times, four of which in cross country and 3 times in track. From his freshman year, Tony has been a key long-distance runner in the West Valley program. Throughout his time at West Valley, he has podiumed at districts 6 times placing first three times. He has also placed top 15 in state 3 times
Tony Belko has maintained a 3.87 high school GPA and a 3.8 college GPA. He is fully enrolled in online classes at SCC. This allows him to work full-time at a custom cabinet shop building and install high-quality cabinets.
At the end of this year, he will graduate with an AA degree to transfer to Eastern to major in construction management technology.
